  • Much love for Zanzibar and the whole Tanzanian nation greetings from north sudan

  • hmmm, worst episode of the street food series. Shame.

  • no food on this one:(

  • Can't the native Zanzibari's tell us about their own culture?

  • EXATLY ummharoon. I was going to make a comment similar to yours but after reading your comment theres no need for mine (thumbs up to yours). Is this about food or politics?

  • I think this is BS journalism and video camera activism rather than a programme about food. This woman is a disgrace who tries to spin history in favour of slave traders and racists. Many zanzibaris are probably disenchanted with the union but believe no one wants to be a slave to the tiny arab minority or work for indians at lowest of wages. Zanzibaris are not arabs 99percent of them are clearly negroid with some traces of foreign blood and portraying them anything other than that is BS

  • @eviltreemonster well you are wasting the years that you have been out of Islam and Islam does not need you on the contrary you need it so think what you want but remember to respect your self i don't go around saying that there is a place that is ruined by any religion even though i don't expect you to respect your self

  • I thought this show was about street food, not women's soccer and african politics.

The title is a bit misleading but none the least its a good series.

  • Best solution. Bring Zanzibar back to Omani Monarchy !!

  • @AlRahbi699 ahhhmm how about a big NO i hope ur joking

  • i thought u talk about food,,,not politics...which always confused africa...

  • I think it's a brilliant series, get to experience other people feelings. though politics is not concern but looks like they are trying to reviel their inside feeling and how loadsof trouble for them is the union.

overall I've loved it and iwould like to be there. good work

  • where's the damn food???

  • Freddie Mercury for life xD

  • on the island ZANZIBAR there are BLACK AFRICANS as well as people from India and people that are of ARAB descent

  • This show isn't even about food. lol

  • she doesent get excited about the food ...its nice, she says!! she should watch a bit of zimmerman

  • Street food? lol, more like "football and politics" ... i'm not interested in either... this has nothing to do with food!

  • steadno you FOOL, since when did arabs become white, syria and the north only became arab through language not blood, to your knowledge this man is a TRUE ARAB, you animal steadno

  • The only true Arabs are from the Arabian Peninsula. North Africans and people of the Sham are technically not Arabs; they just speak the Arabic language.

  • whats with the football.......wheres the grub????

  • she focused m0re on the political, historical and social aspects. We didn't see much of zanzibar street food

  • this program is more about the zanzibar history and not about street food,

  • @ummharoon you took the word right out of my mouth.. she shows 6 dishes.. and mentions 6,000 Political problems..hmmm..

  • He's "black" in your eyes, based on the Western/European irrational notions of race. Arabs, an ethnic group, come in many skin colors. His name is Nassor Mazrui, an Arab name, and his ancestry is Arab.

  • I'm a light brown Arab and Western call us Desert Niger! to me, that's an HONOR!

but you are right about Arabs with different skin color. the reason why we call ourselves Arabs not because of our DNA or gene! its due to our mother tongue!

  • So there is also a one drop doctrine in Arab culture too?

Blackness is powerful then, right? If there is any percentage of Black African in one's ancestry then they are full Black. At least seems to be your rationale.

  • This is how they made one a slave, one drop!

  • MMmhhhh, can't you be realistic?. We must be inclusive and not exclusive. The person is a Zanzibari and speaks about experiences faced by zanzibaris under the current regime of dictatorship. Nothing wrong whether hes black, white, red or yellow. Zanzibaris are facing enormous hardships.

  • Not really much about street food, but still a good show.
