  • your make up looks uneven and unnaturaly :/

  • I also have acne and I also cover my acne with make up, but I only use fondation (dermablend vichy) and powder (avene mosaique) to fix it. You should try to put less make up on your face because it can makes you acne worst, for a time I used alot of make up on my face and since I use less my face is going really better.

  • u look amazing

  • seriously I genuinely prefer you without all your make up! Your eyes are beautiful and soft without all the makeup on them

  • Id rather let my skin breath till my acne goes away, cuz i just feel MORE grossed out if i put makeup over the acne :/ but this foundation is awesome :) my acne has cleared up but i do have scars and this is AMAZING, expensive but AMAZING lol

  • @juhnettie same here :) i hate makeup because it feels gross. i just use a little concealer and powder :)

  • @14Seli Yea, same here, thats what i do for work :)

  • why do u talk for 3 mins just get on with the video!

  • instead of trying to buy expensive foundations to cover your acne it would be better for you to save that money for a dermatologist.I am not trying to be rude or something..that's just my opinion. You are such a beautiful girl that it's such a shame not doing something for your skin..

  • @cristina92rusu A: That WAS rude, or something.... B: How on earth would you know that she's not doing anything for her skin? There's no magical cure for acne, even from a derm, genius.

  • i want to thank u for making this vedio my face is the same way ,i break out in the same area thank u soo much miss lady

  • Hi girls, check my beauty channel. Enjoy!

  • I, like many of the other commenters, have the same skin type. I'm so glad girls like you have the guts to go makeup-less on here to help other girls. (: I think you are beautiful with & without makeup! one little tip that you might've heard before, & it may not even be relevant now depending on if you still use the concealer: don't apply it with the wand. if you have any acne causing bacteria on your face it will collect on the it & you'll put it right back on your face next time you use it!

  • you are beautiful ! u have a really nice features so the imperfections are not noticeable :))

and as far as i know (and asked many dermatologists) using foundation doesnt make your skin worse, it is just really important to wash and clean your face after using products...

  • Do you believe your makeup makes your acne worse?

I don't want to just cover my acne up, I want to make sure that its able to heal.

  • You're so pretty!

Thank you so much for the makeup item tips! (:

  • we have the same skin !

  • Wow...it's amazing how much courage you have to do something like that! I would never have the guts hah..it's also so amazing how much you changed just by applying that makeup!

  • try neutrogena healthy skin. it's never made me break out and i have very sensitive skin!

  • I think this is a great video but you should maybe try to use a brush because your hands are also very porous and can absorb a lot of the foundation.

  • You look great! Am suffering from adult acne right now. I have oily skin as well.

Have you ever tried UD sprays like the All Nighter or Deslick? If yes, please let me know what you think. Thanks.

  • @prolifepinay UD All Nighter is great...I have oily skin and it helps my makeup wear longer, but I don't think it's a mattfying spray, I think the deslick is more for oil control, but I haven't tried that one yet.

  • hi jessi did u try accutane ? i did and it works like magic..it takes like 4 months..best thing ever..

  • you should ask your doctor for an acne cream

  • I wash my makeup when i get home too, so now all im really focusing on is find a great face wash that will remove ALL of it without too much irritation. I feel like the key to makeup is removing it and the conditions in when/where its worn (sweating in a lot of makeup is a huge no no for me xD ).

  • You go girl!!! On youtube showing the world your true skin, I love it!!! You have guts!!! Bravo to you! Thank you for sharing with all of us! You are awesome

  • Comment removed

  • you're so brave for starting without any makeup on. you should try out the arbonne skin products, I have acne prone skin like you and i feel like it helps my skin so much because it is all natural and vegan but still great for oily skin : )

  • I think it's really awesome you did this video with no make up at all. I give you mad props! and totally appreciate all the tips. You're the kind of girl that makes the rest of us feel good about ourselves.

  • I suffer from adult acne as well, and I have had the best results from Acne.org products. I have found that all the other lines, including Clinique are too harsh. Thanks for sharing.

  • i like it :)

  • @jessiedarling93 please do one on drugstore foundation ! (: and ur gorgeous both ways

  • ur gorgeous both ways ! nd can u do one on drugstore foundation ? (:

  • MAC makes u break out. my doctors have always advised not using it.

  • Great video! If you use the brush from concealer on acne - bacteria collects & makes you break out more FYI :-)

  • Retin a. best there is for us with adult acne. i promise u::*)

  • Big thumb for your courage

  • btw...is this foundation longwear? ♫

  • greay review ♥♥♥

  • You're so beautiful!! Great video :)

  • Thanks for sharing!

  • careful with mac face products! they always make me break out

  • Hi Jess, Just found your video and thank you it is great. I am an Avon Rep and was wondering if you would be able to do a tutorial of the Avon ideal flawless foundation? I really like this foundation but would love be able to learn how to do my foundation without looking fake. How do you find the right shade for your skin? Also wondering how not to get creases under my eyes with concealer and foundation. Thank you again for this wonderful tutorial.

  • if you are really having trouble with your skin i suggest going to your dermatologist and getting differn which is like retinA and will help clear you up! also using a oral antibiotic like tetrocyclin helps so much. Thats what i've been using and its made my skin almost perfectly clear!

  • 5:01 video actually starts:)

  • hey jess i saw a make up tutorial and i thought of you immediately. Not sure if you've seen this or not. I just think that the green concealer she uses in this tutorial is fantastic at covering her acne without looking too much (you totes look fantastic in this :) but i'm into the whole testing out colour correcters atm, so i thought i'd link ya) *how to : cover acne/blemish prone skin her username is amysass7*

  • I like your video, but you could use some editting skills, you were blabbing for five minutes before actually doing your makeup.

  • great video, and your makeup looks beautiful. quick question; how long does you make forever foundation last you? in terms of using your whole bottle? Ive been wanting to try it, but want to make sure its decently worth the price to just try.

  • @diydiva11 The bottle of foundation lasts forever! I use it 3 to 4 times a week and it will last me 7-9 months!

  • you know, you're pretty damn attractive without makeup.

  • I think you're really pretty!

  • The video starts at 5:25 for viewers who want to quickly get to the actual video. :)

Thanks for posting! Finally a make-up guru who actually can relate to us commoners with acne.

  • Hey Jess, I was wondering if the Clinque products ever break you out? Because when I used some products it broke me out. Thanks! xoxo

  • @ilovejasonmann I think the moisturizer used to break me out a little at first, but then my skin got used to it!

  • have you seen a dermatologist yet? jw, be careful, if you don't want pit scarring later in life it might be a good idea to check out some oral medication. i took spironolactone.

  • Mac makeup is not so great on acne prone skin.

  • You did a great job on the foundation skin it looks good. Try the Mario Badescu skin care it works Great on break outs acne prone skin.

  • Fucking ten minute intro god

  • your amazing!

  • I just have to say....your video, your honesty, your attitude, your easy going-ness...they all made my day. I admire you.

  • colorstay breaks me out soo bad and ive never had acne and it got 6 cystic acne spots in 2 nights

  • .....1 ......

I had it worse than you in the face, and when my mom once said I should not use faundation more I would see that it gets better,I could not I have me look for my geschähmt,2 years later I'm married and me on it waived and have only used creams, and please believe me when I tell you that you must only trust and physician with a little help from it will be better!

  • @WomanXXXX ......2...... It cost me a huge overcoming,please believe me,today I have no more acne,is rarely a pimple.at the beginning I would have died,now I'm glad that I had done so.Kind regards,excuse please my bad english

  • you are so beautiful and brave, thank you (:

  • hello , i use to have mild acne and it totally got better , if you want me to tell you what i did to help it , message me . your very beautiful and im super glad you showed your face without makeup cause i always believe a girl with acne is beautiful no matter what

  • I have no words to describe how brave you are

  • Thank you for posting this :) Our skin is just alike so I feel your pain. You are beautiful, and I wish people would stop trying to diagnose your acne problems....it is what it is, and certainly they don't have a PhD beside their name.

  • this was amazing! helped me so much!!!

  • SKINID , it will work for you ! my skin looked like yours and it was simialr in oilynes . your truley beautiful and you would look amazing withount makeup .

  • you should not use the actual concealer wand on your acne it will contaminate the concealer/ wand and cause more acne. buy a new one and put apply a good amount to your clean fingers and use that only each time.....

  • your eyes are amazing ! your so pretty!!!!!

  • First of all i want to say that the results of this foundation routine are amazing! I have a question though, I saw your older foundation routine where you use the revlon colorstay, i use that foundation too but when i put my concealer on my spots (maybelline superstay concealer) it seems caky, does the mineral concealer seems caky on top on the revlon colorstay too? I haven't tried it so your opinion will be helpful!! Thanks

  • @flortacca Thank you! I don't use the colorstay any more because it was breaking me out and yes had a tendency to get cakey with concealer. the mineral concealer is a lot thinner then most so it doesn't get cakey as easily tho. The MUFE foundation I use here is much more of a smoother application then the revlon. Hope this helps!! :)

  • @flortacca

revlon colorstay is suposed to be used with no concealer or powder .... can became cakie...*)

but because is a high covering u don't need concealer anymore :D

  • I have like, the EXACT same type of skin as you. Oily, and acne prone. I'm really self-concious about my acne, and it makes me feel really ugly…But seeing you in this video makes me realize that you can be absolutely gorgeous with problem skin. Well done :)

  • @letspaintournails I have the same skin she does. Makeup can indeed do wonders!!!

  • i think the clinique products is whats making you break out. I have acne just like you do but worse. I would highly reccommend the zero oil product line from origins. It works wonders! I use the toner & the cleanser. Its meant for oily acne prone skin.

  • Do you prefer Matt velvet or Revlon colostay?

  • @SLASHzoneYEAH Definitely Mat Velvet!

  • Omg please I must tell u! I have been told by 3 diff dermatologists that MAC powder foundation is awful for acne prone skin! It is not oil free! I use neutrogena powder foundation and it works just as well and cheaper!

  • Oh I just have to share with you... I found the BEST concealer ever to put on blemishes (not good for under eye or anything, but perfect for blemishes), and that is the Urban Decay 24/7 concealer. You just dot it on top the blemish and "pat and press" it into your skin, and it gives the most amazing flawless coverage. I do my foundation first then dot on the concealer where needed for extra coverage. You should totally try it, it's amazing!

  • Great video! The MUFE Mat Velvet + Foundation is the BEST foundation ever. I love it!

  • great video :) for the days that you don't use med/heavy makeup, what sort of makeup do you apply? do you have a video for that? thanks!

  • Thank you so much for posting this, I admire your courage.

  • I really love how you expose yourself to help other people! ThanQ!

  • Hey Jess! I was wondering what shade was your mat velvet plus in??

  • @juxkrazy Hiya! I wear shade #20 most of the year and #30 in the summer!

  • Have you ever tried putting a lotion that has acne medicine in it? I've been doing that and it does help for me! just a suggestion. I used the clinique acne solutions moisturizer, it works great.

  • Girll, u look gorgouse without makeup!

;) u dont have bad skinnn!

    ur verry Beatiful

  • seriously well done. this must have taken a lot of guts I admire that you were able to do this video.

  • Hi Jessie! I noticed that my skin was getting really bad in college and then found out that I have food allergies. My skin was the same in that it would sometimes only have a few breakouts and other times there would be a ton. If you haven't been checked yet for food allergies I highly recommend it. BTW my allergies are to onion, garlic, chives and anything it that family...weird I know!

  • heyy peoples, I just made a summer foundation routine video for oily/acne prone skin. check it out? thankss! =)

  • TRY SWITCHING YOUR POWDER! i completely got rid of my acne and that same mac powder made me break out like crazy!

  • Can you do an everyday foundation routine

  • There are plenty of others out there with skin like yours, me being one, just a wee tip, if you dont apply moisturiser to the breakouts it can minimise them, keep up the good work :)!

  • I can honestly say you are amazing my favourite make up guru. I have looked for videos that will help me and all the others make up gurus say the have break outs but they really don't. But you were honest and definitely brave this video has helped me so mush I have the same skin as you so I just want to say thank you :) !!

  • your beautiful girly... and you have inspired me to subscribe to your chanel...cant wait to see more videos from you:)

  • i. need. that. concealer.

  • your beautiful~ (:

but, no offense. you need braces.

  • @1800jenn Perfectly imperfection is the new beautiful you peice of your environment you

  • Your face looks so flawless after you were done, and i kept thinking in the begginning "why does she keep saying her skin isnt perfect, it like is!" But then you started with no makeup on. You are really beautiful, and vvery brave for sharing this ! Thank you !!

  • the intro was soooooo long. :p

  • Thank you so much for this! You're beautiful with AND without makeup! how has the Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel worked for you?? I think I saw you mention on another video that it broke you out!

  • @jackieoh1234 It works great for me! I think it was breaking me out a little at first but I let my skin get used to it and I don't have any problems now! Although I do like Clinique Moisture Surge better but it is a bit more pricey : /

  • well, i just want to say a BIG THANK YOU!! I found this video when searching for Mat Velvet foundation and I have breakouts as well and mostly on my jawline. You have been the only one i have seen that can truly show how makeup can be applied on acneic skin. It's like someone else commented about gurus and them saying their face is soo bad but it really isn't. Thank you for posting this. You are beautiful.

  • first of all thank you for the video so helpful but i think your other routin using colorstay was better and you used less product comparing to mufe mat velvet+ dont you think?

  • I'm not trying to sound rude or anything in anyway cause I have suffered from acne too but u should try the clinique acne solutions 3-step I have seen such a big difference In my skin in only a few days. (:

  • suggestion- dont rub as hard when you put on your lotion,,,it wont make your skin as red

  • thank u for sharing this helpful video:)

  • your so lucky, my skin is even worse and i'm twelve

  • Thanks for this video, you're beautiful!: ) Do you also have large pores or scars or anything, or is it basically just discoloration and acne? I used to suffer from pretty severe acne in middle/high school. I still have mild acne as an adult (24), but my biggest upsets are enlarged pores and slight scarring. I think it makes my skin appear horrible...but others say no one else notices. It's aggravating!

  • Great video! BUT you should not feel the need to justify yourself for wearing full-coverage makeup - that is completely your choice! I too have very oily and acne prone skin, and I really avoid wearing no makeup when my skin is looking particularly bad. It's all about how comfortable you feel in yourself. Your skin is not gross or disgusting, lots of people have acne. You look great with or without makeup. xo

  • Really really useful :) the concealer is brilliant :)

  • i would rather cover up then take medication that can potentially have horrible side effects.

  • ur really pretty! my skin use to be just like yours! now ive got it under control! buttt stillll covering scars is a must! :)

  • P.s. I have to agree with @KristenInKali, the dermatologist SAVED MY LIFE!! I used to have awful acne, on my face and chest and back as well. I now take a pill that clears up SO much of my acne and what it doesn't clear up I have one retin-A cream and one face wash for that! It's amazing, I only ever have the occasional blemish now...maybe one or two at a time and that's it! It's incredible, you should really try the dermatologist!! It worked wonders for me!

  • I love your videos, you are so brave for doing this!! I hate when gurus do flawless foundation routines but start off with perfect skin...you REALLY are a make up guru!! The after effect you get from your makeup is stunning!! Also, you are beautiful without makeup on!!

  • i LOVE that clinique t zone shine control too. i really hate that it has been discontinued :( or i think it has been since they took it off the website. i wonder if their new pore products will be just as good?

  • I have very similar skin to yours....and very oily! How long does this foundation routine last on you before it starts to look cakey and melty!?

  • @stina188 depending on the weather and what I am doing that day my makeup feels comfortable and looks good for about 9-12 hours before I feel like I need to get it OFF my face haha :)

  • @JessieDarling93 I just discovered your videos and like them a lot. I used to have acne like this. I switched to cleansing with MD Formulations Cleanser with 12% Glycolic compound and then follow up with a Apple Cider Vinegar and rose water blend that I made myself (2:1 ratio) and my skin has cleared up so much.

  • My skin got really bad when I was at college also. I tried many things, but the only one that worked and I have been using is the Murad acne system. I have been using it for over 3 yrs. And while it did not completely vanish my acne, it did control it and now I have only occasional pimples and some left over scarring, but it did get rid of a lot of my scars. I really recommend it, and while at first it may react w ur skin, do not stop using it, u will see results I promise. Hope my essay helped

  • by the way u cover it up very well u can barely tell u have any

  • tannings not the greatest thing for skin but when it comes to acne it helps it worked for me for just afew tanning sessions and seeing a dermatologist for cream

  • the pill did wonders for me sometimes its not your skin or diet its your hormones

  • THANK YOU! :))

  • Check your ovaries, I looked just the same because of polycistic ovary sindrome. Everything started when I was 22 years old... Birth control pill did miracle to my face.

    Nice video! :)

  • 5 min intro. Lol

  • Thanks for the video Jessie! Keep up the good work. Don't listen to anyone that doesn't have anything nice to say. You'll see a dermatologist when and if you want to see one. I think you're doing great (:

  • Thank you.

  • i dont think thats the right shade for you. its making you look too yellow i think it might be the lighting tho i hope

  • Brave girl!! I almost NEVER comment - but I have to ask.. Have you seen a Dermatolgist? I finnally decided that all the money I was spending on drug store products would be better spent with a Derm Dr, and it helped a ton! Also, the with the wand on your conceler - your constantly tranfering bacteria into the tube, letting it fester, then back on your face by using that. I noticed a big differnce when I quit usinging it like that. ;)

  • @KristenInKali I havn't ever been to see a dermatologist, probably eventually I will see one tho. I've heard the thing about the wand on my concealer b4, I am just lazy but now that you say it I really should use it another way. Thanks for the help! :)

  • thanks for this video, it's very helpful!

  • Hi love the video I have a question do you still use revlon colorstay cuz i remember u used it before? Is the matte velvet better then the revlon colorstay in your opinion?

  • @Lynnl1980 Hiya! Thanks so much :) Yes, I did used to use the revlon colorstay, I stopped tho because it was breaking me out worse than I normally do. I like the MUFE foundation A LOT better lol It's not as thick and blends into the skin SO much nicer!

  • Thanks for the ideas. Honestly ur skin is not that bad. When u talk to people u look in there eyes and ur slight imperfections are far enough away from ur eye area to make them ALOT less noticeable. Love u videos and I might try this to "fix" my imperfections.

  • you have beautiful eyebrows and lips haha i know that sounds weird but they are beautiful features! thank you for this vid, i have acne on my chin and it's so hard to deal with sometimes, not only do i not like the way it looks but it HURTS! but thank you for thiss vid girl, keep it up! ur such a real person unlike alot of gurus

  • thanks so much for posting this! i'm in my mid 20s and still have breakouts regularly that leave dark spots...and the spots stay forever! i have that concealer but the shade is too light for me so maybe i will try a darker shade. i also want to try that foundation.

  • umm Jessie has anyone told you you kinda look like Juicystar07 just a resemblance! lol ur very pretty btw : )

  • would you rather have dry skin or oily skin?

  • LIKE IF YOU WANT HER TO DO A MAKEUP COLLECTION!!

  • can u show us your skincare routine?

did u go to a dermatologist?

  • you can try gycholic peels facials. It heps a lot with the acne and the scaring but there are precautuions to take.

  • i got teary eyed when I saw this video. There are so many youtube gurus who say their skin is not perfect and then when they take off their makeup, it almost is. I am so happy that you were so honest and very brave to share this side of you with your subscribers. I have the same problem and i have spend so much money on my face. this vid has helped me a lot esp with how to conceal. Thank you so muchand i am glad i have someone to go this journey with me. thank you so much. xoxo

  • @Donnamaeful I used toh ave a face like that but try to eat a lot of unsweetened yogurt, fish oil pills, hemp anything (not smoking marijuana) because hemp has a balanced ratio of omega-3's and omega-6's that nothing else does. also, change your pillow case, wash your wash every morning and night, eat a lot of fruits and vegetabels (raw not salted or sugared) and drink a lot of water. things that make ME personally break out-stress,sugar/fried foods/not washing.

  • I have the acne solutions Clinique foundation! It works great! and i use the acne solutions 3 step!

  • your really good at covering up your imperfections! in the begging i was not expected to see you with the acne you had. for some reason , i thought you didn't have as much. you did a really nice job, and i'm pretty sure this helped out a lot of people. :)

  • You are beautiful. You are very good at concealing blemished skin. I'm sure this will help a lot of people. I have adult acne, but mine only shows up when it's close to that time of the month. I get the huge hard knot feeling pimples when I get them. I've never had any problems with scaring thank God! Anyway I love your makeup tutorials please keep them coming.

  • Im so immature lol i laughed at 9:52 when you said doo doo xD

  • You are brave to show your breakouts to us. I have constant breakouts too and I cannot bring myself to go out of the house without covering them. Thank you for this.

  • you should try acutane! and When you were concealing you must I've talked about how thin but pigmented it was like 10 times.hahaha

    xoxo

  • Thanks for this video! I have quite a bit of acne scarring & hyper pigmentation too, so this is really helpful.. I'm gonna check out the Clinique Gel! Moisturisers always seem to break me out coz they're so oily, oil free moisturisers don't seem to help either..lol It looks like it could be a good alternative! thanks x

  • I really loved this video. I have oily and acne prone skin. I don't see many beauty gurus with acne prone skin so they aren't relate able to me. I also have had a really hard time finding a good concealer for acne. I am definitely going to be picking up that concealer. You and this video have made me feel better in my own skin. Thank you soooo much for your tips and products. I am looking forward to your future videos. <3

  • have you thought about using acutane?
