  • The quess the best movies of TOS are 2and 6.

but i like ST 8 the most.

  • Jesus fucking christ I like Star Trek but in an anti-trekkie trekkie way. The TOS and TNG films were worth Star Trek watching more than the shows itself.

  • Now i see why Sulu said 'San Francisco' with sooo much enthusiasm at 4:25.

  • Star trek 1 and 2: the best

  • @jeapiat

  • nejlepší star trek kterej kdy byl :)

  • Comment removed

  • all first 6 of them are good, idc what people say, they are amazing

  • God damn I miss the original cast!!!

  • I think That Star Trek The Wrath of Khan is the best of the series because of it's great villain: Khan. And the second best was Star Trek the Undiscovered Country

  • @SpaceMadman My younger brother and I are in complete agreement with U here! KHAAAANNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Star Treks Wrath of Kahn, Search for spock, Voyage Home, Undiscovered Country, First Contact were good, I like Generations too, I know its not the best and it has a lot of problems but i remember it from my childhood, The Motion Picture is a bit dull and went on too long with its cgi shots, insurrection was ok, nemesis let me down, the recent XI was weird and different and Final Frontier was awful

  • The even numbered movies are better than the odd numbered movies.

  • @seeingsights I think Nemesis has officially debunked that legend.

  • can anybody tell me where can i watch star trek 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6?

  • @hellicare08 on your tv

  • @hellicare08 ....what about the legal way: BUY THE DVDs or BluRays????

  • @HansVier hahaha. i know, piracy is a crime!! but i can't afford to purchase original copies. i'm jobless. i feel sorry for my self :(

  • @hellicare08 Hmm...what about Christmas, Birthdays......well or the good old TV! :D

  • @HansVier haha. well.. yeah, i guess i can ask me parents to buy me the star trek series as a Christmas gift. they don't show movies like star trek in hbo asia nor starmovies anymore. well, except for the 2009 remake.

  • @hellicare08 ,why would you want to?

  • The only ones I really enjoyed were II and VI. And VIII, if we're opening it to the TNG movies. XI is just offensive.

  • Was Sulu extra gay in the movies?

  • @gopconservative78 sulu would kick your ass

  • @HecG but he was extra gay.......

  • @gopconservative78 yes and he would still kick your ass

  • @sondano he is a flaming homosexual just prancing around

  • Bill Shatner was hot as hell in the first film....

I want a man like him

  • @msinvincible2000 Now you have to settle for DENNY CRANE.

  • the old star treks with kirk are the best

star trek TNG and the others are crap

  • I liked Star Trek 5 also.

  • i like them all except for 5 and 11

  • star trek movies are not good because our tv series heroes captain cirk, spock, doctor and all others seems to be very old.

  • @choddoo who is Captian cirk? did I miss that one? lol

  • I enjoyed all of the Star Trek films and yes, even V, it was a shame Shatner's original scenes and SFX were'nt filmed due to budget restraints.

  • I find 1. 2. 3. 4. 5 and 6 to be very good.

  • VI > II > IV > I > V > III

Just my opinion. I generally agree with everyone else but I found II slightly overrated and III incredibly bad.

  • the themesong for TNG first appeared in TOS or when???

  • @SickDream I believe it was first used the Motion Picture in 1979. Jerry Goldsmith is the composer. He's also done the scores for many other movies including Alien, Rambo, and Tora! Tora! Tora!.

He does not appear to be credited for any Star Trek music before 1979.

  • @SickDream - The TNG Theme is faster than the TMP theme, which was done by Jerry Goldsmith, and he was Paramount's answer to John Williams doing Star Wars' music. The original TNG theme was much different than the one we are used to, created by Denis McCarthy, but Gene thought it was too militaristic, so the intro was kept, then the TMP theme was brought in. The original TNG theme does live on though, as it was a common musical cue during the first season of TNG.

  • Ya know where i stopped watching TMP? the 5 minute reveal of the ship.. its like bleeeegghh shots of spaceship FOREVER! no offence. I loved TWOK and TVH, TSFS was so-so and i havent seen TFF and TUD yet :(

Voyage home was funny. "That much is certain"

  • Star Trek III TSFS - Boooooring. Too slow for Me Lol. Not much excitement, Action..

Star Trek IV TVH - VERY Funny, Entertaining. Love a Strar Trek movie with Humor as the StoryLine.

Star Trek V TFF - Cheesy, corny rendition of 'GOD' there. Other than That, I thought it was Just too plain...

Star Trek VI TUC - Great closer to Basically 25 years of the franchise of Kirk and company. It had a little bit of Everything that I thought was enjoyable.

  • Yeah, Star Treks II - V were All part of a Chronological SEQUENCE. But here's MY take o all of Them..

Star Trek I TMP - VERY confusing; SUBpar plot...

Star Trek II TWOK - Classic ShowDown between Kirk and Khan, Khan and Kirk. Great story, Good ending. GREAT Quote (Y'ALL know that Klingon proverb lol)

  • these are REAL Star Trek movies with the true spirit of Star Trek unlike the shit that Star Wars lover JJ Abrams cooked up he didn't have a clue

  • KKKKHHHHHHAAAAANNNNNN!!!!

  • Star Trek the movie was just fine. Thanks for posting

  • The 1st movie just sucked. 2, 3 and 4 were almost like one whole Movie.

5 was funny with them trying to get used to the ship. 4 was funny too. "Hello Computer" and 6 was a great Ending

  • I adore the first four films. TFF and TUC have their moments.

  • The first one is just weird, like the writers were on drugs - two and three are brilliant, I never like The Voyage Home but The Undiscovered Country is great

  • Fantastic movies in every respect. Loved Bill Shatner as Kirk - shame he was'nt in the new 'prequel'.

  • KHAN!!

  • then don watch them Doh!!

  • Star Trek IV was the best!!!!

  • Shatner dedication in great new bio (All About jeffrey hunter) at amazon!

  • WTF is up with using the inferior next gen soundtrack?

  • KAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHNNNNNN!!!!!!

  • love this!!!

    'faves'

  • Brilliant. I'm sure I saw this whole thing on a rented video in 1992.

We've clearly come a long way since VHS. Warp drive, sadly. remains a mystery.

  • lol left 4 dead in beginning lol

  • I love how the alien (Klingon I think, but idk if that's how you spell it) quotes an earthling.

  • why are the effects used on star trek worse then star wars even though it came out afterwards

  • Comment removed

  • I Subscribe to the only even number Trek films are good theory 1, 3, 5 etc. are all $hit

  • Wrong, 1 is good.

  • No I disagree, 1 was the worst of all of them.

  • @DeadlyMACD Correction, Star Trek 2, 4, & 6 are excellent films, 3 is an okay film, and 1 & 5 are sub-par.

  • I don't know about that... ten sucked pretty hard too.

  • wrath of khan was a good ST film ,

  • star trek 1,2,3, 4 and 6 are very good!

  • I find it quite funny that they used stock footage from the previous films to cover up the crappy special effects they slapped together for Star Trek 5.

  • Why the heck did they use the next generation song as the intro?

  • that score was originally used in the first film.... written by jerry goldsmith.

it was abandoned for films II and III ... written by James Horner ... Horner is incredible!! I dont know they wouldn't pay him what he needed for the rest of the films.

can u imagine a star wars film without a William's score?

  • i don't think they did just that the next generation series used the theme song produced for the movie

  • next generation stinks. I like the original.

  • of coarse the original is best but i have to say that picard is a decent character

  • Hey did anyone notice the wrath of khan's trailer narrator is that narrator guy from the transformers! LOL

  • I noticed it. The voice kinda sounds the same.

  • Why the fuck are these trekies arguing so much over the years! if time travels possible in star trek, the years are irrelevant! Wow I just put like a million trekies in their place. dam Im good!

  • Why was V so bad?? I like VI and IV a lot!

  • stardate 1986 is Fri, 26 Dec 2324

  • No, wouldn't that be during Kirk's first five year mission, rather than the 24th century.

Either way, they shouldn't have said Stardate 1986, its a year, not a stardate.

  • no the star date 1986 said in the trailer is actualy Fri, 26 Dec 2324

  • according to historical events in the updated encyclopedia:2271 TMP/2285 Wrath of Khan&Search for Spock/2286 The Voyage Home/2287 The Final Frontier/2293 The Undiscovered Country/2371 Generations/2373 First Contact/2375 Insurrection. That was my understanding not trying to argue the fact.

  • i was making a joke

  • Kirk's first five year mission would have been in the 2260s.

  • Yes. 2265-70 (according to Voyager).

I realise now that MysterousStranger is referring to the NEW stardate system that comes into being in the year 2323.

I referred to the OLD stardate system that starts at the beginning of Kirk's first five year mission. Stardate 1986 would fall a third of the way into season one of TOS (Check the stardates in the 'TOS Season 1' article at Memory Alpha).

  • TMP was a carbon copy of "The Changeling" but it had the best model work of the movies... so far anyway. We'll see how XI turns out! It'll be the first trek movie in 7 years.

TMP and The Final Frontier had the best soundtracks, imho.

  • Im so proud say i have all the star trek movies :) they are all fantastic.

Im really looking forward to number 11 but it just wont be the same with the original cast but hey atleast nimoy is in it :)

  • I'm looking forward to number 11 too, all the movies are great.

  • so shatner is not in it?

  • nah, haven't heard anything.

  • He's not in it, he wanted to be, but Nimoy's Spock's coming back in time from a post

Star Trek: Nemesis time, so Kirk, sadly, is dead; Shatner asked if they could just canonize the novels that say Kirk lives, but they said no.

However, someone ELSE may be coming back from the dead. Abrams is releasing a comic series starting in January to bridge the gap between Nemesis and Star Trek XI, and Picard and DATA are in it.

Maybe Data will be in the movie, like as B-4, that'd be GREAT! :D

  • oh, i'd love that so much! i was so sad during nemesis!

  • I like 4 the best and not just for the sharp left turn towards comedy but for the story as well with the Whales

  • star trek v obviously isn't the very best one but its still a great movie. It's just because of the fact that it deals in part with issues like God and what's beyond science, so that would piss some people off

  • yes, I still watch st5 and think about the issue of god.

  • I always think of star trek 2,4,6 as the most interesting.

But I watch them all! and love it.

  • agreed! Out of the original series films II was the best. Then 4,6,3,1,5.

  • YES 2,3,4 and 6 are probably considered the best

  • VI was by far the best, even though it was an allegory of the Cold War.

    II - action/adventure

    III - drama

    IV - comedy

    Thanks for the montage.

  • all strek is amazing...gene roddenberry had a vision!

  • I Like Star Trek 2 and 6 the Best.

  • Most People Hate Star Trek Because they don't

    Understand it.

  • well, the way I see it, that's they're problem

  • The best, as far as music, scenes, acting and the entire feel of the movie, are obviously The Wrath of Khan and Undiscovered Country

  • OK everyone I am going to say this and if you don't like it thats too bad but Star Trek V The Final Frontier sucks as a Star Trek film it was a failure accoding to the consensus I think the Star Trek IV and Star Trek First Contact are awesome and Star Trek II do the hell with Star Trek V who cares about some guy who claims to be Spock's brother lol!

  • i think 3 and 4 are best but kahn is most popular huh?

  • Star Trek V sucks ok ok i get it geez lol! why does everyone hate Star Trek V so dam much?

  • I don't hate Star Trek V. I think it's a great movie. I don't really hate ANY of the Star Trek movies.

  • I know I do too but a lot people hate it

  • I don't know why ANYBODY would hate Star Trek V.

  • I'm with you on that and I'm not against any of the movies really. Shatner did attempt to get the studio to allow him to make a director's version of Star Trek V to improve it's specaial effects and so forth like with Star Trek TMP but they rejected his proposal.

  • They just say they do because it's the fashionable thing to say. Can't make their own opinions.

  • Are you talking to me? but it's true even Roddenberry hated Star Trek V

  • your out of your mind, it was an superb remix for STTMP!

I saw in in 70 mm Dolby in Auckland at the metroplex during it's limited re-release a couple of years back, it was incredible!,

and the movie recieved thunderous applause from the audience at movies end and we all got a free 2 disc dvd set after the feature as we left the metroplex!!!

  • sweet!

  • great clip! Thanks for posting

  • i need to watch star trek now...bye

  • Undiscovered country is when Kirk dies right? Even though he comes back in Nemisis to be manslaughtered by empty headed Picard.

  • not even close. he dies in generations, and never comes back at all.

  • I love this montage of old Star Trek movies trailers cool!!! :)

  • woohoo
