Schützt die Menschen? Eigentlich sollte es "Schützt die Tiere" heißen, immerhin sind die, die Unschuldigen und leiden darunter. Menschen sind doch die Monster ..
The Earth will continue with or without us. It was here long before us and it will be here long after us. It has survived much worse than the deus ex machina that is the human race. We need not be worried about our planet, but rather our own sorry asses.
I have said many times to friends and family, without much fanfare, that what this world needs is a fiery comet to hurtle to earth and destroy enough of the world to wipe out a billion people. I feel so cynical about humans and their nature. Yet, I want to be one of the survivors...
Nice smirk after Hawkins said maybe. He's knows we are fucked. We have a chance yes, but the damage we have done and the ignorance of the people STILL makes it doubtful. We'd have to do a complete rework of the systems we live in these days in a matter of a few years. Even then damage has been done and we'll then have to adapt to the changing world we created. The next century will be a very interesting time for us. My moneys on we won't making it.
Because You disabled the comments to the other movie you uploaded - let me ask you how much do you know about history of cinematography? Lern more and make sure the vid you show is a MOVIE. Not mentioning the date.
"Save The Humans" .... but we still spend billions to go Mars to look for microscopic signs of life while millions die every year on earth and now we are looking for water on the Moon while millions die on earth because they don't have clean drinking water.
hey have you seen Home by Yann Arthus-Bertrand? its free to whatch on youtube. the channel name i believe is homeproject. Its really good. much like planet earth except it focuses more on global warming and humans.
Was some of this also from Powaqaatsi {sp?)? Don't ever forget, everything we do is natural because we are part of nature...Natural doesn't mean good for us - uranium is natural, so are tornadoes
The human species' power is so great, that managed to destroy a planet within a couple of centuries...However,there might still be some time to do sth about it....
Humans are a cancer to the earth. We will be wipped out by our own actions. War, famine, desease, polution. It is already happening and will continue to get worse. We as a species are running out of time and there is nothing we can do to stop it. Our lust for knowledge and money is to great for us to just stop progresse. Our days are numbered and that number is small.
bobby 472, i understand your explaining but lust for knowledge isn't bad and we should never ever stop progresse, because it's with that that one day we will be able to solver more troubling problems
True knowledge is good but in the hands who are capable of handling it. Until the human species can fully get along with one another knowledge will be the cause of our down fall. Progress for the benifit of human's will never happen, it will only be for the downfall of some society. Until we can truely love one another we will never have true Progresse to help for the survival of our species.
i totaly forgot about this video. I had to go back and read my comment. Im surprised at how deep it was. I never thougth i could be like that lol. Thanks :-)
you're right when you say the industry grants us the possibility to counteract diseases. but cancer is still a disease caused by industrial polution. you're also right when you say the plague occured when there was less, or even no industrial polution. but i said 'less' diseases, not none. but that's your point of view and I respect that.
That's a really awesome video with incredible music by Yann Tiersen. But if the point is to convince us that industry is destroying the world, then it's just another enviro-crazed prophet of doom. I grow so weary of those.
don't you ever wonder what it would be like living in a world where nature is still in it's purest form? i'm not some goof trying to tell you that the world is going to end by the stupidity of mankind, but without the industrial polution there would be less diseases.
Isn't it industry that gives us things like medicine to eliminate disease? The plague epidemic of infamy occurred at a time when there was much less industrial pollution.
I suppose I will apologize for being rather trollish with my comment as well.
I believe technology is a brilliant adaptation of our curious nature, but there can be no doubt that in its development there have been unintended consequences that pose great challenges to our long term survival. We are a young species, and though I think are intentions are fundamentally good, we become a cancer to the earth when our actions deplete its resources.
Don't be like that. That idea that the Earth is so pure and only Humans are capable of screwing it up is stupid. The interesting thing about the Earth and all of its systems is that they adapt. We are a part of the Earth (and it really doesn't matter if we are natural or not) so any action we take will be balanced out by the rest of the Earth and Earthly populations. If we destroy ourselves it's because we weren't mindful of how the Earth finds equilibrium. Still, Humans are very resilient.
Do your part to save the environment, try to influence others and hope for the best. Other than that don't concern yourself with this... it will just add unecessary stress to your life.
Thank you for this great video! Scenes beautiful and thought-and especially scenes of a movie super Koyaaniskatsi:)

humanity is like a match
with a spark it is lit
the fire has trouble starting at first
but it then grows nearly as large as the match itself
and slowly goes toward the bottom
using up its place of creation as its fuel
and the fire grows weak and eventually
dies.

The thing is that many of us are conscious of the upcoming disaster so I don't know what to think.
