I love it. i just recently started riding the spur line and saw this one day. i am so fascinated and glad that you posted this and had the guts to do it. the train runs so fast its like a blur. i wonder if anyone payed attention to the old 24th street station in the trolley tunnel. Now that was cool. its equipped with platforms and all.

@deathbyzergling You have to catch the 8th and market ridge spur to see this station between fairmount and chinatown station. The 24th street station now forgotten about is lightly lit between 22nd and 30th street station in the subway surface trolley line. I dont know how they got in the tunnel other than walking causiously

That must be a station on the Ridge avenue line right? I know there is also a station that they don't use on the PATCO line to, Franklin square station, there has been some talk of reopening that station to pedestrians once again, they used it for a brief time during the Bicentenial, there are some nice murals and old colonial style maps on the walls for visitors to read.

It's an old station that the sub doesn't stop at anymore. You can see it if you ride the 8th and market train to the gallery... but keep your eyes peeled because the train goes by pretty fast ;)

kkkkkkkirby already said it's the old Spring Garden Station on the Ridge-Spur Subway abandoned abt 15 yrs ago. For those that claim to have taken the subway everyday & never saw it? You'd have to have only ridden on the main subway line. This is apart from it, starting @ 8th& Market, then Chinatown, Spring Garden and Fairmount (which joins the main subway's Fairmnount station) and then joins the main subway.

I'd love to go down there sometime, without getting arrested or electrocuted lol ~_~.
