It's been for a long time obvious that European countries dont carry independent policy. Its only now that Putin can express this circumstance profoundly. I'd think, European countries should be anxious about this. Instead some of them even choose their leaders according to US suggestions. Just like Georgia did. But Georgia is a poor country indeed, incomparable with any European - its dependent status is at least explainable. In Europe, however, this can be explained only by thirst for money.

...at the same time the US troops have remained in Europe. For what purpose? In order to keep a blok-like discipline within, you need an external enemy. And Iran doesn't quite fit that image. So there is a great desire for the rebirth an enemy in the image of Russia. But Europe should know better by now.
