@fillig0n nah it's not a xylophone, it's a rotary organ, probably B3 Hammond, with percusive setting.

@npoulis There's B3 Hammond + some electric piano. The bit that's got me though is how the phasing effect @ 2:28 is done. I remember Al Kooper doing similar stuff on the B3 in the mid '60s.

@DrDave953 Hm that about B3 + electric piano sounds to be an interesting thing for experimentation. Also the phasing effect is easy to reproduce. Yet I strongly feel that at 2:57 the B3 is on precussion mode (faster waveform attack) but nothing can be taken for granted. I really enjoy that solo.

@npoulis You're definitely right on that count. The part at 2:57 is B3 set to percussive. Never had any success with software phasing effects. NI B3 emulator, that system's not up & running while I'm sorting the house out so can't remember the freeware phasers I tried.
