easy to solve..google john mayer and who he's toured with bet you glen philips isnt on there..then look up nickel creek- they toured constantly with phillips as well as phillips appearing a a couple of videos..at the end of this recording has phillips v saying " i think this gonna be an intresting tour" sean watkins from nickel creek was joking calling phillips john mayer...it WAS A JOKE..the very end of this was cut off....

actually, this is Glen Phillips and John Mayer when Mayer was opening for Glen on a solo tour (they spent a few months driving from gig to gig). Not sure what show this is from but I did see them do this @ The Cellar @ Johnny's Foley's in San Francisco back around '99. They also covered Kool & the Gang's "Celebration" acousticly as well.

this was nickel creek with toads glen phillips... the voice at the begining was sean watkins saw them in buffalo and they did this together...at the end of this recording you can hear him say "this is gonna be a fun tour" watkins called him john mayer because of the many simillarities between mayer and phillips
