I cant mask on Sony Vega Pro 11

I got a major problem once i finish masking it does not work at all it shows the dot lines but the background does not go dark it was on postive then i turned it to negative nothing...nothing happened at all what so ever

Great tutorial! Unfortunately, I think only the full Sony Vegas Pro has the masking feature, leaving the "Vegas Movie Studio" trees completely left out.

@HobbiesLaoagCity Are you using Vegas Move Studio? In that case, that program does not have the masking feature. If you are using the Vegas Pro , then the mask feature should be there.

@100Sweetflowergirl this is the only was to mask moving scenes in Vegas Pro programs. You have to mask every single movement of your clip to make a moving mask. In Adobe After Effects there is a feature that allows you to mask Once, and the program will understand the movement of the mask and mask it automatically. But in Vegas, there is no such thing :/

I have a problem masking my video clip.

Once i finish going over masking it it does not work. It just keeps the dotted lines but the background does not go away on the clip. help please

@Kiwikick238 i use sony vegas pro when u mask pics of video clips when your done the masking you have to click the dot you started with the dot that you finished with then the dots will go yellow and you will see on the screen that the background of the clips is gone hope this helped

@Kiwikick238 Hey, sorry to get to you so lately... Well, there are a few things I that could be the cause of problem. After your done masking, does the background darken? Like, LITERALLY after you connect those dots it should keep the part that you masked light but the background darkens-- simulating the disappearance of the background. If not, check your mask settings on the left. The Mode should be positive. If it's disabled, that's why c:

@WinxForever18 Did you go to the Pan/Crop area? It's that little box at the corner of the clip. There should be a little tab at the bottom that says position, and a tab underneath it that says Mask.
