This "gender wage gap" is non-existent when you take a good look at the stats. Overall, men work more in general (less part-timers), work more overhours, retire at a later age and are less likely to be abstence for a long period of time (aka pregnancy). There are also more men in higher positions of politics and bussiness, because far more men try to achieve this.

After correction for these variables you could even argue that men should be earning more since they're more involved in risky work.

We are in 2011, thus he not only has fabricated information but outdated information.
