  • This is awesome. The only video I've made that has more dislikes than likes is probably gonna be my most watched video. I guess I should make more videos that people hate.

  • uuh warwick fortress. im myself thumb fan but all warwicks own ass :P A real one or rockbass or pro series? :D

  • that's not thommy the cat........not even close.

  • i am so sorry ...but that is ...WAY off

  • YOU SOUND EXACTLY LIKE JON LAJOIE. Good video btw.

  • dude your making it way harder then should be! But still i hafe to admit you have some skills if you can play that song with a fuckin double thumb!

  • Maybe in it's own song it'd sound cool, but not tommy the cat

  • A person saying they don't like the way he's playing here is missing the point. He's not playing anything, it's a demonstration.

  • Não ta la grandes merdas

  • meh not bad, still not quite

  • see mi version

    nice video

  • yes, you are good bassiet, but i really dont like the way you play this awesome song... but then again its just my opinion so do as you please.

  • not even close

  • Closer than the other crappy videos on youtube here at least I have good slap technique unlike the other tommy the cat videos I've seen.

  • Don't be so cocky, no offense. I think that you are really good, but not quite as good as you think you are. Work on it a little more and I'm sure you'll get it cause your pretty close.

  • @bassbaby82 Technique is good, and rhythmically you're pretty spot on, but there's way too many ghost notes.

Claypool does not double thump (NOT double thumb, which is two successive thumb down strokes in one wrist movement, which he does all the time). Ever. However it works rhythmically here, you just need to add the notes that are missing. After the power chord hammer on, he plays E, hammer G, 2 ghost notes, F, hammer G, ghost, G, 2 ghost, G, 2 ghost. Add in the notes and you got it.
