Is this really an Indian AD? Cos i would imagine that there wud be some resistance to it in India. If they made the ad in India and it is being aired, then Im really happy cos its a sign of growth of Indian mentality!

Yes it is an Indian ad.. the male/female models aswell as agency are all Indian. Even the jingle is composed by Indian specifically for this ad. The ad plays without any trouble in almost all genre of channels (news, music, movies, etc).

Get to know the Indian mind, buddy. The world,(read western media) has always presented India in an inside the box, never changing country. There are commercials that are more sexy than this one. It is not to say that the Indian society has got extremely liberal from all perspectives, but that Indians look and welcome everything new. You need to see the new Indian cinema(again jinxed by western media, as I bet they have pre-concieved notions here as well) to get to understand what I am saying.

Also do check out the number of awards Indian commercials won last year and this year at the Cannes Commercials awards, the mecca for TV commercials. You are well in for a major surprise.
