  • @tennisprodigy11 The followthrough is a byproduct of what the player wanted to do with the ball. U12 kids should be exposed to all the fh intentions vis a vis speed, spin, direction, height and length. What followthrough is needed for any one of those variables will show up naturally eg. hardly at all for a fh drop shot or around the hip for a drive.

  • Did that forehand go in or out.

  • beautiful move!

  • actually feds forehand is a bad example for kids. to much wrist and look at the follow through.

  • @tennisprodigy11 I don't know what kids think but I want Fed's forehand :)

  • @tennisprodigy11 doesnt it mean that we need a new example then?

  • @tennisprodigy11 I copied it as well as I could and I came out with some booming forehands. Bad example? Who doesn't want Fed's forehand.

  • @tennisprodigy11 I'll agree that it may be a bad example for kids in that they will most likely notice the wrist snap and emulate that, but to an extent, the followthrough is not necessarily a bad thing to notice. Yes, kids should probably first start learning over the shoulder, but with those new foam balls and stuff, coming over the ball a little more is something that they can afford to learn earlier. Everything else in feds forehand is sound and easier to emulate than a lot of tour pros.

  • looking at his feet, it's like he's floating on the moon!

  • Tennis Ball: "Hit me Roger!"

    -boom-

    Tennis Ball: "Wheeee"

    lol random xD

  • The end is almost like he's sheathing a sword.

    *Shiiiiink*

  • I love how after he shoots a winner, Federer lets his racket down. It's like he's sheathing a sword.

  • @Jaygenius Thats an awesome metaphor, I never looked @ it that way but it sure captures the visage. I'm thankful that we lived in times that saw the likes of him!

  • @Jaygenius Lol, I just said that, then read that you said it. Whoops.

    Astute observation there sir. Lol.

  • winner

  • did anybody see shakespeare in here? all i see is poetry....

  • @fastmilion Lol Agreed!

  • Classic!

  • Compared to his racket arm his other arm is very thin.

  • @locopolka That's understandable seeing how he doesn't use his left arm at all other than holding the V of the racket.

  • FOOTWORK = AMAMZING!

  • @krishu1997 Federer=AMAZING!

  • @krishu1997 ur mum amazing

  • @nasnek ???? ur dad's better

  • i can do that

  • wow.. magnifico gesto.

  • Will Fed win another major?

  • @BenKey4 i think so ^^ thats even pretty likely in my opinion but i want to see him on no 1! because then all these guy underestimating him will hopefully stop doubting if he's the GOAT, because he definately is and i think hes gonna show taht once more, ore twice ...... xD :)

  • What is that twist on his serve? That may be cheating, physics laws.

  • if you see federer's forehand and don't wet yourself, you have a serious problem.i literally drooled like a four year old who hasn't seen mommy in ages.

  • wich kind of grip does he use for serve ?

  • @mazzu10 In that video it looks like he doesnt change grip for the forehand and he uses eastern forehand grip. I could be wrong though. But i use eastern for both my serves and forehand.

  • @Kiasko he does change the grip , look at his hand at 0.27 , its moving, and the racket also spins a little bit :)

  • @tvtotalforever Oh ok

  • federer +forehand = NEW SHORTS please

  • is he snapping his wrist or pronating???

  • @shardv36 Pronating

  • his racket head speed in slow motion is the same as mine in regular motion.

  • jajaaaa gradius55...

  • @gradius55

    exactly like my case

  • Fatality! : D

  • SPETTACOLO

  • dude he ons alfdj;alskdfa;lsf

  • 0:10 - Racket side that makes contact facing towards roger's head

0:10 - Racket side that makes contact facing towards opponent

0:10 - Racket side that makes contact facing away from Roger's head.

  • Almost looks real-time close to impact.

  • just gorgeous. thank you!

  • I don't care if I sound gay or not, but this is really beautiful, the way he moves and hit that forrehand is awesome!

  • @neme6ben trust me, I'm as straight as it gets - and that forehand is just gorgeous. especially the way he moves into it, the take back and rotation.

  • WOW u can really see how fast he pronates at 0:10
