Having little support from outside drag racers, makes the source of mazda racing such as abel ibarras race cars slow down in competitioin. Being my cousin and 100 percent in the drag racing game, the one time fastest rotary r 100 mazda was the fastest and quickest car in the usa.

Where has Able Ibarra gone? I used to read about him in all the import magazines and watch him race. . . then he faded out some how. I wanted an RX-7 when i was coming up in the scene just because of him. I remeber back in the day he was like a mazda god. Wonder what Mr. Ibarra is up too now? The Import scene needs him.

@synaptic1 not taking anything away from this car or rotarys in general but everytime ive seen a potentially sub 9 sec rotary car run, it simply doesnt. always hiccuping or never spooling. dont seem too reliable

It was only testing, so it did a 5.28 in the 1/8th mile in only 1st, 2nd, and coasting in 3rd. The car will run at the NHRA nationals in Pomona, the Pro Race.
