what happens if you use a red dot or holographic like that or something and someone shot the glass on the sight?

There are 3 models, each with a different reticle. The 2-0 has the 65 MOA ring and the 1 MOA center dot. The 2-1 has only the 1 MOA dot and the 2-2 has the 65 MOA ring, the 1 MOA center dot and the 1 MOA BDC (bullet drop compensator) dot

The XPS3 series is the same as the 2 series with the exception that it includes support for night vision optics.

As for BUIS, they do not interfere and can be used as a co-witness or if the battery goes dead without having to remove the optic.

so as the firearm was used the springs were eventually worn out

I never owned one, I just hear this a lot (from Aimpoint owners) so I don't want to paint too bleak an image of the EOTechs.. they are popular and I doubt they would be if they all fell apart

I'd ask around for people who own that model to see if there are known issues

My M4gery has several thousand rounds downrange with a 512, and I've never had battery issues. I'm sure it COULD be a problem, but mainly to full auto shooters.

we need to get this straight what happened with the batter way this.

at one point eotech decided to use a diff manuf to make their battery contacts(a cheaper one) and it caused alot of issues with recoil making optics go out, but it has since been fixed and eotech replaced everyones old battery contacts for free

Well,, the XPS -3 is the night vision compatible model (3 buttons) but there are THREE versions of the XPS and TWO models for a total of 6 separate units..

There is no mention on the EO Tech website or anyplace else I've seen that says they make ONE device with THREE reticles in it that can change

@CGPAryan the XPS2-0 has the standard ring and dot, the -1 has single dot, and the -2 had the ring with 2 dots. I may have mixed up the last two, but basically no model carries all 3, they have their own specific reticules

What you read is that there are three reticules you can choose from by choosing either XPS-0 (standard 65mil circle with 1mil dot), XPS-1 ( single 1mil dot alone), XPS-2 (standard 65mil circle with two 1mil dots). GW is correct.

there are holo sights for around 200 bucks without parallax issues.... is it as tough or as durable? no probably not but its over half the price

The sight is what it is. great vid thought thank like to see new stuff so i don't wast money on the bad new stuff. keep the vids comming
