Civil unions do not give you all the rights that a civil marriage would give you, that is the problem. even with civil unions gay people are still denied hospital visitation rights. A lesbian was denied being allowed to see her partner after a stoke, even after showing there documents and her partner died alone, civil unions do not equal civil marriage.

Civil unions do not give you all the rights that a civil marriage would give you, that is the problem. even with civil unions gay people are still denied hospital visitation rights. A lesbian was denied being allowed to see her partner after a stoke, even after showing there documents and her partner died alone, civil unions do not equal civil marriage.

He said it has nothing whatsoever to do with the "definition" or marriage or "protecting marriage," but rather was a form of gay bashing meant to treat gay people as second class. It disgusts me that heterosexuals are so insecure about themselves that they need to bully gay people at the ballot box.
