  • Aris announcement he did a back while ago kind of reminds me of that time i turn 18 and all my relatives came to visit and i was about to have a speech.. i froze so all that came out of my mouth was.. I LIKE BOYS OK?. and everybody looked at me.

  • aris whould make a perfect bitch in prison with his long blond hair :)

  • Ohh get the tissues... And the napkins

  • Aris was an asshole for saying/doing what he did after his college party. BUT Aris can't be blamed fully his college was most likely a liberal shit hole. Liberals shit all over everyone and everything.

  • his daughter is so cute.

  • What the hell hummus and falafel are doing in a Greek restaurant?

  • That son is a piece of shit. I continued to watch, and I was shocked by what the son did. Jesus.

  • It's annoying that the son is acting like a dancer/entertainer. It's a joke.

  • Thank you so much for posting this video!

  • Is it me or does Aris look like David Ellefson from Megadeth?

  • If the people loved the food, Chef Ramsay wouldn't have been called

  • 26:55 "take the opportunity to give them a little privacy" BAM CAMERA TO THE FACE

  • Hot fuckin daughter!

  • no gyros? fake greek place...im african am and i knw that..smh

  • lmfao disco balls

  • Fish and chips isn't Greek.

  • @Leviskardsen it is to americans, you could put burgers on teh menu and call them greek burgers and they would think they are in athens

  • @czrpez220290, does it really matter, because Marica isn't Spanish, she's Greek, and it's probably a common name in Greece. So who the Hell cares?! She's still pretty hot no matter what her name is, right?!

  • @dna598, seriously, you got nothing, especially on American & British shows, and for you to dis me about my mama like that, that's a lie, because you're GAY as Hell, like your boyfriend. GAY GAY GAY!

  • @axelpayne69 rofl

  • @dna598, you're still a FAGGOT, "Infidel"!

  • tbh, if my parents tried to guilt-trip me into fixing their broke ass restaurant, I'd probably tell them off too. What did Aris go to college for--probably not culinary arts!

Does he have to ditch his education to work in some shithole dive? If I finished my EE and someone in my family tried to drag me into working in their restaurant I'd tell them to pay me equivalent or go jump off a pier.

  • @syn010110 It was the fact that he was disrespectful to his family who paid for his ass to go to college. Besides, owning a business by the sea-side in a nice state isnt exactly a 'shit-hole' May surprise you, but some people actually want to own restraunts

  • @syn010110

Not a dive but a family restaurant, unfortunately you can't seem to grasp the situation, why do you think he changed his mind after his college days were over, the reality is that this restaurant probably generates a hefty sum of money if properly looked after, it means this guy can have a decent future with a stable income, his father basically built a foundation for his future.

  • @mackjeez also this was probably filmed before the economic crisis which means that aris probably thought goign after his dreams were more important than the family business. Well,as we knwo the economy collapsed, all the great jobs went over seas and we are in the sh#T.

  • @syn010110 I get your point. However, is that son able to get another job on his own? That's what I'm wondering. It seems like the father does not even really want him there anyway.

  • haha, those chairs are at the majority of greek run business' in australia

  • Since when is Dancing with a table in your mouth some greek tradition?

Falafel and Hummus are Greek? I dont know what those guys are smoking over there, really i dont know, but even me as a Bavarian knows that Falafel and Hummus are nothing greek!

  • @KongoOttov2 ..agreed! i am Greek in Athens and never see Falafel & Hummus in restaurants. only in a big A.B. supermarket or something.

  • The father/owner looks like Peter Griffin from the Family Guy.

  • i think chef ramsey would think my fried bannock dogs would be absolutely dreadful, but i likes them....

  • I would be more amazed if that fucker could eat the Table!..Just saying ;D

  • Gorgeous girl 32:25

  • all kitchen nightmare daughters are pretty LOL. Sushi Ko reference.

  • Restaurant Impossible isnt on... i guess ill just watch kitchen nightmares...

  • Ares is hot unf

  • Right by the Beach. Great restaurant location!

  • So hungry damn it

  • the greek guy looks like real life peter griffin

  • Business not goin well son, too many complains !!! " go out and dance " LOL

  • lol @ 17:34. Not a very good actress

  • how's hommus and felafel greek food? i thought they were middle eastern.

  • @neosapien247

    Food travels.

  • @neosapien247 if you look at the history of greece, for much of the early modern era, they've been under the rule of the ottoman empire which consists largely of turks. and historically, greece has been more involved with affairs in asia minor than they have with europe (eg, the eastward expansion of the macedonian empire). so yeah, it's no surprise modern greek cuisines borrows so heavily from the middle east

  • @CaptainFluffy6644 I would disagree with you. The Greek cuisine relies heavily on tons of sea food dishes and meat dishes that Turkey does not have, and as a Greek I enjoy both cuisines. However, Turkish is not Middle East, maybe a small fraction. Big difference.

  • @CaptainFluffy6644 Greek food is Greek food. You forget to mention that Ancient Greece ruled Turkey, Southern Italy, even the south of France for thousands of years, so it;s more likely that their food is influenced by Greek dishes.(btw Turkey is not middle east)Some Greek dishes even go back thousands of years. Take Loukamades for example, the worlds first donought served at the Olympics

  • @neosapien247 Greek food is Greek food. Have NO clue why they're using hommus.(which I see in Israel), but I guess,as the one poster states, food travels. You wont find that in a typical Greek restraunt in Greece though

  • @EffLabels

Hummus like felafel are not commonly foods found in Greece but they are constantly requested by American customers to a point that you have no choice but to put them on the menu, American's have little education when it comes to international customs and cuisine, to them they see a Souvlaki and automatically think that we serve Arabic food because of the similarities, even though Souvlaki is pork and its something a Arab which is likely to be a Muslim will never eat.

  • @mackjeez ...i am Greek & live in Athens, there isn't any Hummus & Belly Dancing here. i have lived in America briefly & worked in 2 Greek Restaurants. I was shocked at how expensive & unauthentic Greek restaurants are in America. i highly recommend u don't go to Greek Restaurants in America, they are a joke. Come to Athens or anywhere in Greece & get some wholesome authentic dishes. i love the food here in my country! try: Youvetsi, Tsipoura Fish, Kokoretsi, Village Salad, Pastichio, etc.

  • @HellenicWarrior10

I'm Greek. I was just saying how Greek American restaurants function.

  • @HellenicWarrior10 i like how you market the tourism in your country. lol

  • @mackjeez The problem is that Greece is close to countries like Turkey and North Africa, which ARE mainly Muslim countries, so I can't really blame them.

  • @RocMegamanX

Well what about Italy, Spain or Portugal they're closer to Africa than Greece in terms of distance, should we assume that their cuisine consists of Felafels and Hummus?

  • @mackjeez That's not the point, though.

  • @mackjeez YES! its the same with chinese food...i am a chinese in singapore and i have never eaten eggrolls in my life!!! KUNGPOW CHICKEN?! you got t be freakng kidding me

  • Good on you Ramsey more people should use their talent to help others the way he does

  • @KayLyda too bad most of this show you can tell is staged and scripted and most of these restaurants end up closing doors...not b/c of ramsay but b/c his help is often too late. i will say this ramsay does seem like a genuine good guy...and his temper only erupts because he just can't stand laziness, stupidity, or denial

  • Oh, and suscribed. :)

  • Awesome job, just sublime.

  • typically felafel and hummus are NOT Greek food...Mediterranean yes,but not Greek food

  • no,no,no

  • Im from greece!

And this is not real musaka!!First come to greece, eat our foods and then try to judge us!

  • that is NOT greek food or greek dancing!!!we don't have falafels or houmous, mousaka isn't supposed to look like that!dancing with a table in your mouth isn't how greeks entertaine themselves αnd belly dancing isn't a greek dance at all!yes we dance the so called tsifteteli but it's not a greek dance at all it's more like remnants of the turks!i'm real tired to see people misrepresent greece! it's fucking embarassing to say the least!

  • @vickymargari I agree with you 100% They mis-represent

  • Makis=Newman?

  • @malonemalo are you stupid? Maricon means faggot, marika means nothing in Spanish you disgraceful bitch

  • @allaroundkid7 You are wrong, In some countries "Marica" means Faggot, he is right.

  • @allaroundkid7 thanks for teaching me a lesson in my own language, dumbass. Por cierto, giliopllas, Maricon, Marica y Mariquita, significan "faggot" en español. A ver si va a venir un capullo gordo yanki a decirme a mí como coño se habla mi idioma, mamonazo.

  • Why do they keep talking about Catalonia?

  • @malonemalo I know. This is a greek restaurant, for God's sakes.

  • In spanish, Marika means faggot.

  • As a great fan of this show, may I give you help for french subtitles ? At least for this episode ? :)

  • aries is soo handsome :)

  • "I think Chef Ramsey will really like my food". Famous last words.

  • Good show, nice and unbelievable to see the interviews.

  • YUP CRYABOOT THE DAUGHTER IS BEAUTIFUL WHO IS THE OTHER PRETTY GIRL IN A FLOWER DRESS ?

  • bullshit i am from Kefallonia, he cooks shit :D

  • @YiannisThiakos this guy has lived so many years abroad that he forgot how to cook his traditional dishes? lol

  • marika is hot wanna date her sometime

  • finally something edible hahahaha

  • Gordon should do a new show....."Gordon Ramsays family nightmares"

  • i couldn´t even watch 2 minuets of this Yank bollocks....stick to the UK Ramsey!

  • i only watch these to see ramsey eat the food then i turn it off.

  • the son is hottt

  • haha gordon pronounced the gyro wrong :p

  • omg the daughter is so hawttttt!!!

  • @DoTaNeWb1247 all greeks are "hawt"

  • goddamn american tv music is so annoying

  • @dna598, if you don't like it, then why don't you turn the TV off, FAGGOT!

  • I used to really like this show, but I'm starting to agree with nevermind. It's getting repetitive. They are not showing what is really happening in the kitchen. They seem to be creating a formula story of family drama. The father never teaches the son how to cook or lets him in the kitchen; finally he shows him how to make a simple pasta dish, and suddenly the son is a chef who can run a kitchen? A little far fetched. Something was left out.

  • Nice editing...thanks for those who can 't watch live!!

  • The son is the epitome of what is wrong with OccupyWallStreet. He thinks having a college degree entitles him to an easier life then his parents who are hard workers and don't expect things to come on a platter because he $20K piece of paper showing you can memorize an regurgitate information

  • @ubermisogynist They are fighting for the financial injustices within our country. Do you have a job? If so, how much of that money is taken out for taxes? If so, where are those taxes going to and what exactly are the benefits that you see flowing back into the community? (Keep in mind we have education cuts, military cuts, on the brink of a government shut down, etc.) Do you know who is not taking budget cuts? United states congress. That's what they are fighting against.

  • @UglyPinkMachine College is a banal system . It's more of industry in creating debtors then it is about education. I gruadted with a B.A. in Computer Science and 80% of the stuff I learned just reading books on my own while in high school. I have friends who dropped out who are making morey money than me in the same feild and they deserve it because I know they are better programmers than me. They knew College was B.S. from the get go and thats why they quit.

  • @UglyPinkMachine also I realize that's life..nothing in life is fair or guaranteed and the OccupyWall Street need to put their lives in context. In other countries people work for $1.00 or less a day. With the US military destroying Iraq and Afgahnistan those people there have a right to be upset.

  • If women didn't fight for their rights, we would still be baby sitting men by law and moral. If colored people didn't fight for their rights, there would still be an excess of segregation. They are fighting for a better system, you should be backing them up. And also, a college degree means you've put in the time to study and learn all you could about your major (Obviously you don't have one.) Would you trust a surgeon with no degree and proper training? No.

  • @UglyPinkMachine no degree an proper training? I'm okay with that! :P

  • @UglyPinkMachine You sound very oppressive. You must have voted for George Bush you pedo.

  • @ubermisogynist I know what you mean. I felt SO bad for the father when the son said 'I am going to make something out of my life..and not work in a reastraunt' How rude and cruel!. My father came from Greece and provided for me so I could have a good education, a roof over my head etc.., I would NEVER dis-honor him like that. Very sad.

  • i give the fudda thumbs up the 90s was the bomb grunge did a lay folks

  • In hi older shows, and especially the British version, there used to such interaction between the chefs, cooks, the kitchen staff, and Gordon. But sadly these days it seems to be mostly about family drama and all that. And the story unfolds the same way it does every time. It's getting a bit redundant. Gone are the moments when Gordon used to teach the cooks new dishes and find ways to inspire them. Is it coz all the cooks in the newer American episodes are Mexicans? But Mexicans are cool too.

  • @nevermind55555 Maybe he can't stand the Mexican body odor.

  • damn, that family reunion teared me up !!!

  • Hot Greek Girl!

  • I love this show, but the only problem is that I can't watch it without eating :D

  • @summerskyflower hahaha ya! it makes u hungry

  • I don't know Maki but u must say that he is lovely by this video the judge. love him my favorite person ever on this show

  • her name is Marika? XD

  • @NotreFestin hahaha yeah... is a nickname for Maria (little maria)

  • man, this episode its one of the best, the story about the son and the father has bringing so many sad memories about my brother and my dad... it put tears on my eyes again. i hope it all works out to this family and business

  • @karilily Both my Dad and Brother died in the last few years. My Brother died this year and I can tell the son is putting a BRAVE face on when he's told to get out.

I wish I'd spent more time with both of them and that Father is wasting precious time just because of pride that at the end of the day means NOTHING compared being with loved ones.

  • Its been awhile since I've been to The Greek...excited to see they made some changes. I can't wait to try it post-show!

  • Aris(the son) is cute!

  • Plus u spanish speaking people r urging americans to start speaking spanish because the majority of people in america is now latino? Y should I, so I can speak to the maids and gardners?? The world speaks english for a reason, it is because america is the only worlds superpower now. u latinos have been here for generations now and still have LOWER THAN AVG HOUSEHOLD INCOME than the national average. Other ethnics have been here shorter and have a higher family income......................

  • @karz12 At last correct your grammar, and the reason English is spoken around the world is because of the colonization, England established colonies all around the world, is the same with Spanish, Spaniards established colonies, mostly on America. And the US became a world power after the WWII, and is not the only world power, there are many countries with better economy than the US, like Norway for example, so think better before you say something stupid.

    Have a nice day

  • @navasalejandra and they say latin is the universal language, lol...go english

  • 19:13

"Finally something edible!" I laughed so hard at that line! :D

  • I used to work here and the family is the greatest- the food and atmosphere are just a reflection! Opa! To the Mikelatos! Tracey

  • @karz12 shut up vindaloo eating chink

  • @karz12

Wrong, vato. I'm from la and I know for a fact that the west coast belongs to whole foods, starbucks, Jack in the crack, Mcdonalds and Carl's Jr, first. The comes mexican food and faux international food like Olive Garden, etc, and then American-inspired international cuisine, with asian food being in the bottom three. Not including china town, obviously. Persians? Please. I love eating out and we've been to a Armenian (they don't call themselves Persians anymore, you duntz) only once.

  • @engageAGC after reading ur comments, i take it ur one of those cholo mexican retards that just brings our down our education lvl here in cali. I was not talking about fast food here, i was talking about the influence in the city of los angeles and orange county. Mexican....please, mexican food is one of those cuisines that people only want to eat once a week, because it causes heavy acid and diarrhea. MEXICAN FINE DINING? HAHHAHAAAHAHAHHAAHAH

  • @karz12

Cali? Nobody born and bred in California calls it "Cali" and your profile says you're from Persepolis, wherever the hell that is. So, I think you could be full of shit. Maybe I'm wrong. At any rate, I'm Italian, French and Puerto-Rican. So, you definitely offended someone...but it wasn't me. You got a big mouth, though. One day someone's gonna close it for you.

  • Trust me, if some1 tried to close my mouth and succeeded, I would open it again without hesitation. They would have to cut if off to succeed. VATO............LOL......what a vocabulary.......VATO

  • @engageAGC Calm down breh. Leave it at the internet.

  • Oh, unless you call the B and C graded (rarely ever seen an A) fast food "Chinese" take out places on every block "Asian", I've never been to one. And P.F. Chiangs is not real Asian, so don't get retarded on me, el pollo loco.

  • Thank you!!
