  • Sorry for commenting on an old comment, but after reading the comment below on how stamping isn't art and then how music is the greatest art of all...using this person's reasoning isn't it a "waste" to use a $400 instrument to play music that someone else wrote?. I have been both an artist and a crafter for over 30 years, and stamping gives me my greatest relaxation! Some people just aren't happy if they're not complaining! Love the videos Suzanne, I adore what I see, and what I learn. God Bless

  • Suzanne, your videos are great and your classes are superb. How one expresses their art is never to be criticized. I do not and will never understand why when people use e-mail and/or leave comments on blogs, that they fail to use punctuation. I suggest that everyone ignore basalisk's comments until the individual writes a proper sentence.

  • Interesting that basalisk has gone to several copic videos and posted negative comments....why watch?

  • Great video, please do more videos. You are an inspiration and a great teacher.

  • Wow, you make using these copics look so easy, great lesson thanks.

  • Suzanne - I love this video, the way the apples pop at the end is amazing. Anyone who know anything about art also knows that it doesn't matter what you start with, its how you make it your own that turns your piece into "art". We all have differences of opinions on what we like and dislike but using copics and using them the right way is art. Its no different than buying a certain paint or pencil to paint canvas work or trace an image. Keep up the great work! I'm definately a fan!

  • hey! soo cool! and a question do you recomend copic markers ?? and say if you were blending like you just did but it was not those colors and you had black and you shaded it with yellow would the tip of the yellow go black or look black??

  • Unfortunately I strongly disagree with you. Any expression of art or crafting is a creative use of one's self. That's the beauty of art--it's takes form thru many different things whether it's graffiti on wall, landscaping art, crafting, stamping, drawing or writing! No one art takes precedence over another---

  • The reson i dislike stamp coloring is that you arn't expressing creativity, you're coloring like in a coloring book Art is expressing your creativity in a beutiful way, not cmpleting someone eses creativity

  • and you forgot music the greatest art of all

  • well, don't you choose the colors on the stamps?

scrapbooking also involves you putting art in such a way in which it appeals to people and convinces them to buy your card.

and you don't have to say it to begin with; what people like is what they like.

  • Many agree with me stamping is not an art, it's buying others creatifity and coloring it. Like a five years old coloring book. This isn't scrapbooking either this is getting rubber, getting it wet and touching paper with it, real artistic! (if you're too stupid to realize that was sarcasm) And in the big official group of art and stuff like that (pretty much kennel club for art) Doesn't even speak of this.

  • @suzannejdean i know it's an old argument but after receiving a reply from some random person think i dislike copics has made make one more statment, Why not try to make your own stamps? then it's fully your creativity

  • @Basalisk172 if you don't like copics why are you watching the videos?

  • @theresa1727 i love copics they're great but using $7 markers of ART on stamps in a waste, i like copics i don't like the way these people are wasting them.

  • Awesome!!

  • Thank You, Suzanne, for your post on using copics! Such an expensive art supply... but so is scrapbooking/cardmaking!

    KEEP UP THE GREAT VIDS!

  • Great video!!! Keep them coming!!
