When they talk about the heat - It wasn't overstated. When we had to conduct charges everyone was so hot they'd run water out to everyone where they stood between takes. And always a new crew of soldiers (somewhat fresh) "ready at one" for the next take while the previous group crawled off.

It would still be pushing 100 degrees at midnight!

Ah, those were the days!

And my regards to anyone involved with the movie who sees this!

I was there!! they filmed in my Hometown and my friend's dad was the Horse handler dude.. and I ate a banana in front of Collin.. although I didn't really know how big the movie was going to be or how hot Colin really was cause when I saw him he was all caked in make-up but he said "Excuse me" when I was eating, and I was like.. "no, no, Excuse me." My face was stuffed, of course.
