  • If I had psychic powers I'd never tell anyone. As soon as the Government finds out you have them, your going to disappear and never be heard from again.

  • Let’s work to eradicate all religion. Conversely, begin a relationship with Jesus Christ today. You need to repent. Yes, you. Moreover, you should ask God for eternal forgiveness through applying the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ to your life of sin within the quietness of your bedroom tonight. As an unrepentant sinner myself, I made this decision around 15 years ago. This is the most important decision that you could ever make. - Romans 10:9-10

  • @paularenas26 Or not.

  • @paularenas26 "Let’s work to eradicate all religion. Conversely, begin a relationship with Jesus Christ today.” --> those two things don’t go together. Also, having a relationship with a man who died 2000 years ago... Good luck with that.

  • Is this still open???

  • @IDM011 Go to Randi DOT org, they're willing to give out a million bucks if you manage to prove it.

  • I would find blackbeard's lost treasure.

  • i know this shows got a budget, but no lights on set?

  • @dopeasfuckk It was in 2007 bro.

  • @KreatorRage my bad bro, forgot lights weren't invented until 2008...

  • talking about the bible and things like that is 1 thing but talking about Psychic abilitys is a hole new thing you shouldn't talk about unless you really look into it.try looking up John Edward and then put a video up couse he seems like a real Psychic but besides that you got good points abourt weeding out the hacks but i think it is real like ghosts

  • @saur2244 People have been seriously looking for evidence of psychic abilities, ghosts and a whole bunch of other supernatural crap for more over 150 years and not one single shred of convincing evidence has been found. The JREF challenge has been in place for well over a decade and not one individual has ever been able to demonstrate any psychic or magical ability.

There are no "real psychics". There are no "ghosts".

All there are are frauds and occasional interesting perceptual anomalies.

  • 1,000,000 for proof of supernatural power in a controlled environment. if we were in a controlled environment then the point of having supernatural power is irrelevant. we live in a chaotic and egotistic environment, that is why u think your an atheist and others christians. we may not be able to move the physical form with our mind but we can influence others minds with ideas. mind controll exist but at a low level state, now where's my money! lolz calm down...

  • @hmoobontherun

"if we were in a controlled environment then the point of having supernatural power is irrelevan"

Brilliant argument. One step below, "You have to believe in God to see the evidence that will convince you to believe in God".

  • @AntitheistPOV

i believe our minds can take us into a state of god-like. a spiritual or physical god is quite hard to find convicinly and to believe.

  • @hmoobontherun

You can believe whatever you like. What you believe has no effect on what is true.

  • @AntitheistPOV

the truth has no effect on believing.

see it like this, we are just food in somone's stomach slowly being digest. knowing that we are going thru a slow process of death makes people say this is truth that is truth. we all know at the end we are nothing just as how we started.

  • @hmoobontherun

Are you making this stuff up as you go? I honestly have no idea what you're talking about.

  • @AntitheistPOV

no i have observed it, experience it so i speak about it. don't act dumb because u don't like it, okay!

  • @hmoobontherun

I'm not acting dumb, I literally have no idea what you're talking about. Are you refering to some diluted form of nihilism?

Whatever else you said, the statement, "the truth has no effect on believing" is quite true. If it did, you wouldn't be spouting this nonsense.

  • @AntitheistPOV

it's not nonsense, it's known that by breathing oxygen we are slowly dying by it. nonsense would be if you told me your problems that's nonesense.

  • @hmoobontherun

Again, I have no idea what you're getting at. I'm not sure if you're being deliberately vague or if it's a language issue.

  • @AntitheistPOV

Play dumb all u want, but i can't help u.

  • @hmoobontherun

As I said, I'm not "playing dumb". You're not making any sense. Is English your first language?

  • @AntitheistPOV

before this goes any further, tell me why i should keep replying to a person playing mind games?

  • @hmoobontherun

    . . .

I am not playing mind games. I literally do not understand what you're talking about.

You made some vague comment about our environment and ideas. Then when I replied, you started talking about digestion, oxygen and dying as if they had any relevance to the conversation.

I do not know what you are talking about.

  • @AntitheistPOV

i commented u replied dicussion done are u not satisfy?

  • @hmoobontherun

I was hoping you would clarify so I could understand what you were getting at.

Far too much effort, never mind.

  • youre entitled to your opinion as closed-minded as it is.

  • @4my2pitbullsluv You're entitled to your fantasies as moronic as they may be.

  • @TiteProducts

same to u my online friend, same to you.

  • hit 4 every half second. shit shit shit...

  • the end is great: "Please note that we are talking about something stupid today that is not Christianity."

  • the guy from paranormal state chip or something like that has been exposed as a fake.

  • As far as psychics, religion, and the paranormal are concerned, you have to have FAITH in order for it to make sense. Only once you first believe will you start to see that a circle is actually a square and that scant prophecies in ancient texts spell out specific future events. Damn you non-believers, just have a mustard seed of faith and all the cards will fall into place :)

  • Remember, that even if a psychic could prove their powers in a controlled environment, it still wouldn't prove the god of any religion to be true. In fact, and most ironically of all, the majority of religious people actually detest psychics, shamans, soothsayers, etc.

  • @hstg98 so you are calling me unintelligent?strictly because I don't agree with your views???HAHAHA ya can kiss my grits.I don't give a rats ass.Go read a book on iguanas.Get me so bothered because these atheists are so annoying.simply because they don't like living with people who aren't in the same thought as them.in other words they behave like children, trying to seem smart.plzzzzz.just leave me alone. hstg98,i made he or she mad because of my opinion.think i care no.because they dont care t

  • Both Penn and Angel are skeptics who don't believe in "psychics".Uri Geller is a con-man, a really poor one it's very easy to bust..so it sounds like it could be a funny show!

  • @lightandbeautiful HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA OH MAN

  • @lightandbeautiful What is your point?

  • Penn is a pretty cool guy, IMHO.

  • We are talking about something stupid today that is not Christianity. ROFL

  • @GodTheHypothesis

let me tell you something bup.you don't know me so don't say i don't have a life.second your name "GodTheHypothesis" says what you are all about.you want to know the funny thing......GET YOUR FUCKING NOSE OUT OF PEOPLES BELIEFS.STOP SPREADING THIS SO CALLED ATHEISM.IT'S NOT GOOD YOU KNOW WHY.....BECAUSE IT CREATES ARROGANCE,AND DISLIKE....PS DON'T FUCKING PM ME AGAIN.IM SICK AND TIRED OF ATHEISTS LEAVING COMMENTS,I HATE READING WHAT YOU HAVE TO SAY.ARROGANT IDIOTS.BE NICE TO PE

  • @Erstaunliche8Jungen I'd love to but theists keep on attempting to legislate their conflicting ideas of god into the laws of my country. The instant that stops then I will also stop.

  • @Erstaunliche8Jungen I could just destroy your stupid points with a couple of sentences but... u mad bro ?

  • @Erstaunliche8Jungen I know right I cant stand those arrogant atheists going around spreading the idea that this whole entire universe was not created just for me by some magical sky daddy that loves me and wants me to be with him while he plays hide and seek. Calm down and get over yourself, have the humility to admit there are things you don't know instead of making stuff up. Before you get pissed at me understand your comments are useless without supporting evidence.

  • @Erstaunliche8Jungen

Oh I'm sorry. Are you sad the entire universe wasn't made just for you? Are you sad there's no invisible magic man in the sky to hurt the people you don't like?

Well too bad, welcome to reality, now sit the fuck down.

  • @Ryakki sit the fuck down son.

rofl. its hilarious what people believe.. i just dont understand religion. also, if you take a look in history, religion has been used as a tool for repression for centuries. oh well. people will never learn.

  • @Erstaunliche8Jungen I think your cap lock is on. If you're sick of having atheists talking shit to you then why do you post dumb comments on atheist videos. Its kinda like teasing a dog and getting upset when he bites you.

  • There are some atheists who believe in psychics and the supernatural eventhough they don't believe in God though, right?

  • @littlebit19801 I really hope not...

  • @littlebit19801 I think there are, I'm pretty sure one of the people on this show said there were. I mean I could see an atheist NOT believing in God, but maybe having a personal experience to cause him or her to believe in the supernatural.

  • @littlebit19801 Yes, there are some dumb atheists.

  • they are so nerdy sounding.lmao.i understand they want to make facts but,it just seems these these guys have no life.

  • @Erstaunliche8Jungen You see a part of what they do once per week. You have no life troll.

  • @Erstaunliche8Jungen

Yeah just no life at all trying to discredit dishonest fakes who ruin peoples lives. Let me guess- "it's all a bit of fun"

  • @Erstaunliche8Jungen

Yeah, intelligence does have away of sounding ''nerdy'' to those completely unfamiliar with it.

  • Christians talk to their zombie all the time. No wonder they used to be called necromancers as they invoke the powers of a zombie and a ghost, practice (symbolic) cannibalism, and prepare for the end of the world (that is overdue about 1900 years by now)

  • @greyman000 You can even argue that it is not just symbolic cannibalism. Those who believe in the Transubstantiation believe that the wine and wafer really turn into the body and blood of Jesus.

    For them, it's literal cannibalism.

  • @MrFungus420 I know, but as far as we can tell, the earliest Christians (whom adopted that ritual, as well as almost all of it's rituals and beliefs from the pagan mystery cults) viewed it as symbolic. Christianity is at it's core a doomsday cult, who is an amalgamation of lots of different religions.

  • i just watched the episode on youtube

it was pretty awesome to see the "psichic" all angry

the only thing he had to do was "use his powers" and make an easy million

so funny when those people are exposed on tv :D

  • Real psychics know that the Randi Challenge is a trap. :p

  • @blackacidlizzard Yeah. They all know he is a powerful warlock who can block their powers.

  • This is just too funny. lmfao.

  • Oh wow just bring a film crew and a fat girl from newcastle getting laid in a club is proof of supernatural ability in a controlled envioroment. LOL using her chubby powers to blind drunk guys to the smell an face... LOL

  • When I was a kid, I used to believe that some people had psychic powers. I WANTED to believe it, but over the years , I saw absolutely no proof for it. I no longer believe that anyone has psychic powers.

  • @goldenthroat86 George w bush became president.TWICE LOL Theres your evidence.

  • Losing an argument? Just shout bigot.

  • The "Mystery Science Theatre 3000" episode "The Dead Talk Back" is a classic example of this.

  • @SinnFein4ever

    "OH IT'S TRUE!"

    Mike: My mom said so!

  • @NUTCASE71733

    Richard Basehart.

    ;)

  • I have huge doubts when people claim to be psychic, especially when they claim to talk to dead people.Even when they seem to be correct I'm not sure if it is or if it is a good thing even if they are receiving some type of information.Although i have had some dreams that have come true.these were not things that i was trying to acheive or anything like that. They were very mundane things that had no meaning. So i know that there is somthing going on that we dont yet understand.

  • LOL

    Criss Angel owns.

  • @Draginvry2 Indeed he does. I always find it telling that magicians are usually the most anti-supernatural sort of people. Criss Angel, James Randi, etc.

  • If any of this stuff was true... it would just be reality.... and not exciting or mysterious at all!

  • @ahtaimo Isn't reality exciting, interesting and mystical enough? “Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?” Douglas Adams

  • @ahtaimo exactly. no fear, no thrills... well, it would kinda suck too in my personal experience... :S

  • If she's not driven by money issues, why din't she do it for free, just for straight challenge ? I'm amazed by the amount of gullibility available in people's minds.

  • Ok money aside let us put a morality spin on it if someone is a psychic who wouldn't want to know if their child would be sick or a loved one and get to a doctor before the sickness manifested to get treatment.

  • EVERYONE has psychic powers, but only just a little.

  • Uri Geller, 40 years on and still 'bending' spoons

  • A true psychic would never reveal there ability.

  • @Darknight123455 A true leprechaun would never reveal himself to us either.

  • @Darknight123455 why not?

  • @TheAmazingNobody Well think about it. Anyone who really had the ability and was smart about it do you think they would want the media's attention?

  • @Darknight123455 maybe, maybe not. i think it would depend on the person. maybe they wouldnt care about the media's attention but i think they should use their powers to help people like i think they said in this video. they could get millions of dollars in no time and use it to help people. that seems like the best thing to do with powers like that.

  • @Darknight123455 only if he's not allergic to money.

  • minus 0 well maby john edward---IM getting a sherrr, lerrr , flerrr,, berrr.....???audience ..BOB? edward- yeah bob thats what i ment to say the whole time he says HI!!!

  • If it's a contest, they should've gone with James Randi's 1million dollar challenge, higher prize money.

  • I can talk to the dead...thing is, the dead don't talk to me, does that count as me being psychic?

  • I can't click the link to watch Criss own a psuedo-psychic, because the bar below keeps popping up. Damn youtube.

  • @Singlerity It's in the Suggestions bar on the right, buddy

Just helping you out a little

  • 3 people were exposed for not having psychic powers

  • Comment removed

  • Yikes, looks like the recession hit the AE pretty hard. They're down to candlelight.

  • *pffft* Talking to dead ppl is easy!! I do it all the time!!

It's getting them to answer that's the tricky part...

  • @tdjdk lol. thumbs up.

  • @tdjdk Nah, i find in my line of work that they are extreamly good listeners, they do refuse to answer my questions tough, they are so uptight and quiet.

  • 2 people think they have psychic powers -.-

  • what utter crap.

  • Does this 1mil prize applies to the people who have rare mutation of having mutated strains of disieases in them and can spread them to other people however themsleves are not affected by any symptoms?

Kinda like Pestilence from xmen comics and this thing is regarded as superpower in the comics and you have people like that in real life the famous being Typhoid Mary (Mary Mallone).

  • @1DarkMasK1 No, the prize only applies to the paranormal or supernatural. The Typhoid Mary has a clear scientific explanation.

  • @milesalpha1

Yeah but in the comics this is like a superpower :D

  • @1DarkMasK1 Ah but then I could argue they are mutants, and evolved their superpowers naturally.;)

  • I predict that by July 9, 2011 this video will increase its dislikes by more than 200%

As of today (July 6, 2011) it has exactly 1 dislike.

That'll prove my psychic powers. We'll see....

  • I predict that by July 9, 2011 this video will increase its dislikes by more than 200%

  • 1 person thinks he has psychic powers. Bet he didn't see this coming.

  • I have a superhot girlfriend but she lives in Canada. Haha, wow. I hope someone has actually said that.

  • @perfectshot77 then why havent they got thhe $1 mill prize money?

  • I sip Criss, you drink piss.

  • who was raymound hill[sic]?

  • Should be simple to make better video quality... Beside that, you rock!

  • Well aparently John Edward knows a thing or two about hand-to-hand combat:

  • @TheOmegajuice

That is not an argument from ignorance.

Appeal to ignorance goes as follows:

You haven't proved A wrong, therefore A exists. Or, You have proved X true therefore X is not true.

It might be worth asking yourself whether this definition actually applies to you.

  • @TheFounderUtopia

    1) A psychic phenomenon (e.g. the ability to talk to the dead) is possible

    2) Person X claims to be able to show phenomenon however has been proven a fraud

    3) this doesn't prove that nobody can talk to the dead

    4) therefore it is justified to believe that some people can talk to the dead (even though no example of genuine ability has stood up to repeated testing)

the move from 3 to 4 is an argument from ignorance.

  • @TheFounderUtopia Where as my position is:

    1) Nobody has proven/ provided significant evidence that they can talk to the dead (in fact it is possible to fake it very easily using quirks and faults in human psychology and reasoning)

    2) You are not justified in believing a factual claim unless you have a significant justification for that claim

    3) therefore we should not believe that people can talk to the dead (until evidence is presented to support it)

  • @TheOmegajuice

That's irrelevant. I was just pointing out your misinterpretation of the appeal to ignorance fallacy. What you in fact described was a legitimate argument. The appeal to ignorance would come into play only if they went a step further and suggested that the fact that X and Y being false doesn't mean A and B are false MEANS that they are not false.

  • @TheFounderUtopia ... I'm pretty sure that was implied by what I said.

  • @TheOmegajuice

It wasn't. You shifted the focus from the part of a claim that is relevant to the conversation that precedes it, which was not itself the fallacy you were invoking. You don't point out a fallacy by drawing attention to the part where it isn't and assuming that the part where it is will be implied.

  • @TheFounderUtopia

You don't know that they are all fakes therefore some aren't fakes.

I don't think I can make the fallacy any more obvious and simple than that.

  • @TheOmegajuice

For the third time, that's not what you described in your initial post.

You erred, I corrected it, there's nothing else to discuss. Stop replying.

  • @TheOmegajuice "Classic argument from ignorance"

That's a misconception. An Argument from ignorance is a logical fallacy where a proposition asserts X is true because it hasn't been proven false or vice-versa. Furthermore, the argument X,Y,Z,A, and B is fallacious by the Proof By Example Fallacy, not argument from ignorance....

  • Comment removed

  • @IceAges14Aces

It's not a proof by example fallacy by the way. That would take the form

    1) X Y Z claimed to be psychic and are fake

    2) Therefore all people who claim to be psychic are fakes

    3) Therefore A and B are fake.

That's not claimed anywhere in my comment... and definitely not by my hypothetical supernaturalist. His error is assuming his correctness because he hasn't been proved wrong... Argument from Ignorance.

  • @TheOmegajuice You are correct on that. On the other hand, You had clearly stated X, Y, and Z claim to be psychics and proven to be frauds; therefore, A and B, which also claim to be psychics (Without proven fraudulent), are frauds. Then you stated person A: that doesn't mean A and B are frauds. (I forgot the other one) and at the end you concluded that the person A and the other is arguing from ignorance. This is false. You compared X,Y, and Z with A and B, which is a proof by example fallacy.

  • @IceAges14Aces That wasn't what I was claiming, although I accept that any misunderstanding was properly my fault seeing as you are the second person to take issue with my comment.

By the way, making a comparison is not a logical fallacy. The fallacy is where you assume that objects which are related in one sense must also share another unrelated property that not all objects have been shown to show. I didn't do that.

  • @IceAges14Aces

The point I was trying to make is that supernaturalists often argue for their case by pointing to a specific thing or person or event that hasn't yet been shown to have a natural explanation.

  • One of the most damaging and unfortunate hoaxes of all time, the famous £1m Randi challenge. Here's a guy that picks on easy targets. He has been outed by brilliant scientists like Prof. Josephson, Michael Roll to name but two. Psychicism is perfectly real, but if you constantly pick on obvious celebrity hacks like Uri Geller and Jon Edward, you are simply ignorant of the evidence on the table that simple programmes like this cannot dream of tackling

    debunkingskeptics website

  • @PomBare Having browsed that site, I can't see much distinction between them and the other phonies floating around. At least it reinforces my theory that pseudoscience is beginning to pick up religion's mantle. At least religion is inheritly based solely on faith and not science; crap like cryptozoology and uflology have the nerver to act as if they're playing by the rules of science and always come up short. Always. Then have claim that they're being ignored. It's the same crap again and again.

  • @PomBare After browsing that site it doesn't get any better than 'they don't believe us boo hoo hoo'

  • village1diot you are such a nice guy. Taking your time for all those videos including links to other videos mentioned. Thank you very much for all your work!

  • The people who talk to the dead do make a lot of money =/

  • "Please make a note of it: we are talking about something stupid today that is not Christianity."

  • If they had pyschic powers, then wouldn't they already know who would win?

  • I'm sure someone pointed this out but Penn Jillette likes Criss Angel. They've done several stuff together. He makes fun of the Crosses Criss Angel wears.

One more thing, if these Psychics weren't interested in the money then they wouldn't charge for their services which they all do. In great sums.

  • Jim Callaghan has really come down in the world since the days when he was Prime Minister of the UK.

  • @BluecollarAtheist

Excellent response, sir. I salute you.

    And you type properly. =O

  • I totally knew they were going to say psychic powers aren't real!

  • I'm guessing someone here doesn't know how the genome gets modified naturally? Genetic mutation. point mutations and codon additions, deletions, whole chromosomal additions, inversions, transformations of bacteria, etc. Who needs evolution taught to them?

  • Having Uri Geller as a judge on a psychic show is like letting Usama Bin Ladin give out the Nobel peace price.´..

  • Ugh when this show was cancelled in America it just moved to my country with that disgusting fraud Uri Geller, I was do insulted by his nonsense and that people actually thought some of the contestants had psychic powers.

  • @BluecollarAtheist that is a very compelling argument. <=3

  • @BluecollarAtheist a complexity that could be compared to biochemistry

  • @BluecollarAtheist could u please present an exmaple where complexity arise by a non intelligent source. complexity is such a broad statement, and there sources that do occur in a natural setting, but complexity is divided classification. name one, and i would try to refute it at the best of my ability.

  • @kissntellen your an idiot and may the speghetti monster have mercy on your soul

  • @p6a9u1l42 whats better then a large spaghetti down my throat and meat balls up my ass

  • @BluecollarAtheist if i may constructive criticize ur argument, it would be u defining "plausibility" as a form of probability of occurring outcomes. when defining plausible in account of critiquing or evaluating a statment, the definition would be used in a sense of reason over chance of occurrence. to analysis design, u could not calculate chance in a sense of percentage, but rather to reason the situation by its principle. complexity is a great example of element and principle of design.

  • @BluecollarAtheist so u don't think its plausible that the element of design played a role during abiogenesis.

  • @BluecollarAtheist

you say hell way more than you say heaven. in profiles it seems you favor hell more than heaven.

and no, don't consider yourself as one of the scientists. an atheist is just someone with an absence of belief, not a scientist. unless otherwise

  • @BluecollarAtheist

you don't have any idea of what is indeed EVIDENCE to you or these matters

  • maybe they should have called it "American Chalatan".

  • pen jillette is epic

  • These guys are magic, look at their legs! Their legs are invisible.

  • I want these guys to take on Bill O´Reilly hahaha, Bill wouldn't stand a chance!

  • "the atheist experience"- what about the christian experience? what makes you think that the atheist experience is the true one? hence, you make up minority of the world! iow, you're left behind what really exists. don't be slaves to mere human reasoning, something else is in store for us. be happy about it!

  • @libetta You believe an Argumentum ad Populum supports claims of christianity ?

Don't be an Indoctrinated slave held captive because of your blind faith and Willful Ignorance !
