He's got a great voice and timbre. This song shows a very small range of notes and he doesn't emulate any of the trills or 16th note runs. According to Santana, every guitar solo should be singable, which this guy really shows is the way to go.  he also wasn't doing any arpeggios and he can't sing chords, so I would imagine that after a one-song demonstration this gets boring fast.
