Well I rarley got stuck in the weeds and if I catch something too big to reel up then I just beach it on the rocks then I just walk down the cliff to get it,,,,As you can see in this video I ended up on the bottom of the cliff anyways and went eel fishing and also used my fishing rod down there again.

It's best to go for eel's on minus tides so that you can get further out on the rocks and my bait was shrimp and squid!!!

@swimbaitkid - Most of the best fishing spots along the Bay Area Coast have been close by the State and the few places that are open will be picked over. I would recommend fishing near the Pigeon Point Light House as it has easy access. I would stick to using Poke Poles in the rocky areas as you will lose a lot of gear with rod and real. (This gear will usually remain and kill fish uneasily)
