I marched in Southern Band starting in 1968 with 190 members/no girls with Dr. Freedman as the director. However, that was another era in which no/females was in the marching band. Today, I am not going to say that females should be in the Marching band or not. Because, I don't want any female to read my comment and prove me right.
What's the big deal with having girls in the band? If they're steps are just as high and their notes are just as powerful and in tune why does it matter?
comments like that you shouldn't say out loud. ol head or not because my crab sister alone with some of the other females in the band are kicking hard ass. if you love to see the band like that take a look at some ol' footage with you a-tracks. because of comments like this is what cause shit like what happen back in Nov. (its always family that bring their own family down)
I marched when it was 128 in the early 90's, and for some reason there is a difference, if you notice, with 160 or whatever, SU usually comes from the end zone-downfield, which is cool either way, but there's little room for flexability if you want to experiment and do something a little different that is still SU tradition. Like coming from all four corners of the field or something on those lines, but bottom line is no matter what the size, SU is the best. I'm proud to be apart
I wouldn't mind seeing the band go back to 128. Not saying anything about today's band, but it was a honor to be in that number when I was there. But hey if today's band wants to blaze their own path that's fine too I guess.
dont get me wrong SU aint bad at all but why dont they do other stuff like a regular field show besides lines n stuff? not complainin though dont look bad and its kool that EVERYONE is on step all the time at SU
When they paused during "Crazy" They should have said AS, AS, AS, AS, U! LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just kiddding!

I think that was the best way to kick of a reopening of the superdome. Good soulful sounds of the Human Jukebox.
