This DVD present some masters and practice of Bokator, it is not saying that this is the only practice or the true one. you mean the term "Bokator" does not encompass entire Khmer martial arts as MDV claims. Not "bokator is not Khmer martial art." It obviously is as it had been referred to and documented in Cambodia's dictionary. However, this term just refer to the short stick and staff forms.
I don't. But i am interested in learning authentic Khmer art for preservation sake. By learning i don't mean practice -I am no fighter but, I want history to be preserve and documented. Despite many been lead to believe, Bokator didn't just resurface, it had enough mainstream popularity to be referenced in 60s' movie starring Trente Deux. That was where I saw "Bokator" on video first time, not in 2005 when youtube first came out.
