@phil656565 Racers slide bike and forth across the seat all the time (If this is what he was referring to). He may have been leaning off the bike too much for his entry and his body clipped the wall. But yeah I agree the announcers on these video shows usually don't know what they are talking about, embellishing the actual truth all the time. Then the posters make it worse by using false titles. Crash wasn't at 170mph. That was his top speeds beforehand in other areas.

after he brushed the wall on the left he knew he was going to crash, thats why he took his hands off the bars in preparation for impact. thats probably what saved his life, him not holding on to the bike on impact. the best coarse of action is actually to launch yourself from the bike instead of holding on to it.

Another example of why you can never trust the mainstream media to give you the truth. 170mph my ass. Quayle was doing about 90mph when he hit the wall. And he only bruised his lung? "Milky" was so seriously injured he was unconscious and had to be airlifted to a hospital. When he got there he was put on a ventilator. They removed his spleen, he had cracked ribs, broken ankle, and a bruised kidney in addition to his lung. When he awoke he couldn't even remember the crash.

Crashed going maybe 100-120 mph at the most. Classic over exaggeration of actual events. Kinda like the car chase shows where the perp "nearly killed that bus load of children" when the bus was about 400 feet away on another street going the other way. However, this is not the case in corners where you can't afford to drift beyond the outside road. My comment was specific to the situation in this vid. In corners, you let the bike straighten itself out of the wobble, which is why he let go, pinched the tank and prayed.

Btw, the wobble that I saw was at 0:35 and then he crashed.
