Alrighty then... seventies tv specials were often quite weird... but after watching this clip I guess I better understand George Kirby as a guest on Jack's show--they did seem very playful and relaxed together, as though they were truly friends.
I can't believe I'm losing you -- is the only song that has ever made me shed a tear. Honey by Bobby Goldboro didin't even do that for me. The way the orchestra falls at the end is powerful.
I have been a fan of his for a long time. Growing up in the 60's and 70's we had the best entertainers and music. He truly has a great voice and still is very handsome! Love Wives and Lovers! Can really relate to it as a woman not a little girl......what a classic!!!
That show is huge ! I got to know and appreciate Jack Jones when living in England in the 70's and always loved him since !Pity there's no DVD on that special show !
Thank you so much! Excellent stuff! Did he do a lot of these specials/shows? They would be a great idea to release on DVD, I think. Since he's got legions of fans in the US, UK and Japan - and me in Denmark. :)
ISO agree with you. A fan of 40 yrs or so and a member of Jack's original fan club I suggested years ago that another video (no DVDs then) would be nice but he didn't think there was the demand. The one of the show recorded in Atlanta in the 70's is great but very worn now. Looking forward so much to the forthcoming UK tour.
I LOVE JACK JONES !!!

Duh - what you do you think a video called Jack Jones Special Part 1 1974 would have been recorded?

Very handsome and a wonderful singer. My favorite singer of all time.

A gentleman with a warm voice even when he talks, simply indicates the
voice quality of a singer.
That's Jack Jones folks!

OMG what's more amazing is seeing that WLVI logo. I grew up in the 70s and Boston was just a stone's throw from Providence!!!! Amazing footage

Frankie Laine has told me many times how much he admired Jack Jones and I have to agree with him. He's the ultimate singer!

Sinatra has said that Jack's his kind of singer!
