this comment is so late (i'm really trying to catch up with my subscriptions), but i just wanted to say that running around with your dogs is also a spectacular way to get exercise. i have two puppies who have crazy amounts of energy, so it's easy to get some fun exercise playing with them!
So true! I'm fourteen, and I have younger cousins (7 and 9) with tons of energy, so every time they come over we play DDR or bounce on the trampoline, things I'm not normally motivated to do (even though they're fun).
I'm 19, and I do agree with this tip. Playing with my little cousins is definitely some (usually) fun exercise. Unfortunately, I only see them a couple times a year, at best, since they live pretty far away.
I have an older brother who's 21 and in the air force so he's quite fit, and two little brothers who are 7 and 8, they have plenty of energy at their age too, it really is good exercise.
what if i am a small children? well i sure act like it but whatever. I'm 13 years old (June 6 is my b-day) and all my small relatives are in San Jose. I'm in Stockton.... do you see my problem..
Well two days ago I turned 60 I have a Martial arts school to keep me busy and I built a gym in my home (free weights, cable equipment and dumbbells. I work with kids all the time so I understand where you are coming from. Hang in there!
I'm 22 and I don't have any kids around me, but when I'm home from school I play with my family's 2 dogs. Running around with them and taking them for walks definitely helps since I don't belong to a gym at home.
I'm 19 with a 7 year-old nephew and he is never tired! I remember being a kid and my parents asking "where does all that energy come from???" Now I don't know where it went! But playing with my nephew always gets me moving because he just never stops--even when we're cooped up inside during the winter!
Hey John. I'm 42 and have two kids, 6 and 2, so I definitely keep more active than I otherwise would, by chasing around after them... the 2 year old especially, because he bears more watching, and because his activity is less, shall we say, *directed* than his elder brother. He's kind of all over the place, and is easily diverted off-course, so he keeps me running, for sure. I encourage anyone who is looking for a fun and different workout to spend time with a toddler in a park setting.
I'm 22 and have a good amount of energy, but working as a nanny last summer kicked my butt! I cared for a 5 year old boy and a 9 year old girl. At one point I realized that I was eating more because I was snacking with the kids (apples, trail mix, the occasional Oreo), but surprisingly I lost weight (just a little!) because we spent so much time in action. It was a great summer job, and a great excuse to get fit. I need to see if I can get that job again this summer!
I totally know what you mean about playing with young kids. I'm 35 with two nieces age 3 and a half and 5 months and I spent last weekend with them playing , hiding under tables , running around in circles , a video is on my channel.
John it must be hard to travel all the time and keep fit, as airports only have juck food in them. Along with all the sititng around waiting for flights. I know I have traveled a lot before.

Toledo...is boring.
I'm 24! Alas, there are no little kids around! Maybe I'll go to the zoo and chase random children.
