Well, there is the "singable" translation, and the correct word translation.

ENG: Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good

DE: Dankt dem Herrn, denn er ist gut

IT: Lodate il Signore perché è buono

And my language, Swedish, we have our own:

Tacka Herren, ty Han är god!

At which day did you record this? I remember starting this song very late in the evening service on my last day in Taize

It was on the 9th of august (a saturday). I guess this song has been sung lots of times in the evening services though...
