looks like he pierced it through just the skin and not the cartilage. the needle went through to easily. the right way to do a septum piercing is through cartilage

@TheDirtymonkey678 the needle isn't even supposed to go throught the cartilage when pierxing a septum - the only piercings where they pierce through the cartilage are the different ones you can have in your ears like; tragus, antitragus, helix, antihelix, industrial, conch, daith, rook and snug

@EVERYTHING1029 Septum piercings are always on the skin, but some people may have not enough skin so they do it on the cartilage. But what you really mean with ''skin'' ? The septum piercing is between your skin and the cartilage, in the thin thing you have between, lol.

@EVERYTHING1029 Put your pointer finger in each nostril and gently pull down. Feel how there is a thick spot, thin spot, then thick spot again? That thin spot is where they try to pierce through (it's called the sweet spot).

@charltomwintale So I did end up getting my septum Pierced like two weeks ago. Oddly enough it hurt REALLY bad for me which I wasn't expecting. Then after two days it swelled up huge and hurt more. But at day 5 it felt fine and now at 2 weeks it's healing really well with no pain. I'm really glad I got it. Definitely my favorite piercing I get stopped on the street and asked about it all the time lol! Thanks so much for the vid.

But I also do have a high tolerance for pain and pierced my hand myself :P

@SourPicklee when you have a horseshoe ring put in you can flip it up inside your nose to hide it :) if you search how to hide a septum piercing you can see how :) so when I was at home or around my parents that's what I did :) .xo

@charltomwintale GOSH at first, when I got my septum pierced, I couldn't hide at all. Srsly, it hurts a lot. I had to change the piercing first, I had to put a smaller piercings so I could hide it.

I don't have it anymore, and I really miss it. hahaha
