nice kit...Mine is similar but without minitool and instead of flash light I carry a 2000mw blue laser with a glow in the dark cap. With the cap on its the brightest light you have ever seen and with the cap off I could signal aircraft's in outerspace should such an emergency occur.
I also like your little container for Advil...Smart thinking...I will look for a container like that...cheers man.
This is good. A small pill container for your stash to stay dry in, scissors to cut your stash up, and a lighter to burn your stash. All your missing is a zigzag.
Best edc ever !!! i also want the trekker but now i have victorinox picknicker and i love the non serration blad and the point. i just wanted to know of the trekker has also a sharp point ? very good !!!
@MegaYeshua33 - I'm confident that in reality your ego outpaces your ability and your age far outnumbers your I.Q.!!! So, while I have no need to "man up" you sincerely have a need to "grow up."
anyways, that vic tracker is what i carry most of the time as well as you, but i've taken off the serrations and made it a plain v-edge so it's more of a knife now than a ropecutter. have a good one friend!
@psytac71 - Clearly you have no idea what you are talking about. Typically of an armchair wannabe who never leaves their computer to venture into the real world.
If you are familiar with the ordinary series of Victorinox small pocket knifes i can see why you think its uncool.
This particular series of locking Victorinox is actually very good, i have used the model with partly serrated blade for many years without trouble, the versatility of this pocket knife is simply great!
The Emerson may beat many knifes in cutting sheet metal but you will most likely not do that in a emergency situation in the woods.
Not bad but you should drop the lighter and get ferrozerium/magnesium firestarter tools. They are about a trillion times more durable than the lighter. Also, PB lighters won't work under 15 degrees below
@pttike1981 - Since this is my EDC for an urban environment the lighter fits my needs. When I am out hiking, backpacking, or camping I always have a Swedish Light My Fire Firesteel.
Couldn't agree more with your assessment of the saw on the SAK. I have used the saw on smaller versions with great success, so I bought the Rucksack model which has a longer saw and blade. Prior to viewing your video, I purchased the Micro Stream Light. You aren't kidding when you say that little thing puts out some light!
Simple, Robust, and Effective. Great ideas and selection. The only item I might add when I put this kit together is some sort of navigation item like a button compass that will attach to the ring. It would have obvious uses in the woods, but also for times when you might be told to "exit the south exit" in a mall or building... and might be wondering just which way that is. And I'm thinking it could also help when getting "turned around" and confused on winding streets in the city.
i carry a phone and i can get help anytime i want

@MultiEliaz - The Trekker has a rounded point. It would not work well at all to stab through an item.

You should switch the Streamlight Microstream for a Xeno E03. It puts out 490 lumens instead of
just 20 lumens.

That Victorinox is totally uncool, get an Emerson or a Strider. Maybe u want to switch the Advils for cyanide ampoulles!

I carry the same kit with the exception of the Micra. I carry a Squirt PS4 and I added a slim ferrocerium rod.

If you use Motrin IB or generic thereof you can fit a good bit more ibuprofen in that container. Same strength, smaller pills than Advil.
wb5mgr 3 months ago
U should check at a Squirt PS4, the juice is alot bigger (to big for a keychain) and the squirt has everything the micra has.
