As a small child, I had a babysitter whose name happened to be Barbara Walker. The first time I heard this song, my chin dropped at that last line. Of course I know it most likely isn't the *same* Barbara Walker, but I found it interesting.

My mom is from Olive Hill, Ky. She dated Tom for a very short time in high school, as she put it, she was a cheerleader and he a football player. It didn't last long but every year we had to go to Olive Hill to hear Tom T. play in his home town. I always loved it!! When I had children I made sure they knew his music, it is so innocent and clean, not like the music now a days. I'm so glad that he is doing well and I pray he keeps writing!!!!!!!!

I hear the magic too. I'm 35 and just discovered Tom Hall a few weeks ago and I can't get enough of him. This guy was a musical genius. I've talked to my dad and he knew all about him. Wish he would have played his music when I was a child.

I grew up listening to Tom T Hall everyday and i still hear a new one every now and then, and i can honestly say i've never once heard one of his songs i didn't like.

This song was written for my mother and father (Freddie Jim Hartline and Jeanette L Hartline) Fred and Jan I was born in 1964 and his parents lived next to mine in a trailer park in Grand Prairie, Texas my mother had the original on a 45 rpm record signed by him on the reverse side was Mr Bojangles.

I first became aware of Tom T in the early 1970s. 35 years of so later I still think he is great. This is one of his best.
