  • a person's race has nothing to do with ingrown hairs.

  • No, ingrown hair does not equal shave bumps.

Shaving Bumps [caused primarily by irritation from shaving] block the hair follicles on the surface of the skin. Hair growing out normally is then forced to grow into the existing bump blocking the hair follicle [hence the term "ingrown/entrapped hair"]

    Solution:

Use the BREEJ BUMP ZAPPER KIT to resolve existing bumps [thereby freeing the entrapped hairs]. Normal shaving can now be resumed. Use BREEJ BUMP ZAPPER Anti Bump Lotion after shaving

  • so ingrown hair=shave bumps??

  • It is a bad idea to use multi blade razors, they work on the hysteresis principle - a blade pulls it up and the next one cuts it, this causes a hair to be PULLED above the skin line then cut, this will obviously result in it falling back below the skin line, when people shave they often use hot water which opens the pores, so after the shave the pore will close as it gets cold. So now you have a hair under the skin and the pore closed above it. the best way is A cold shave with a single blade.

  • @StockySie how can a blade of a multi blade razor pull the hair up if you are shaving downward? i imagine it would either cut it or glide over it. i only ask bc i want to understand.

i see your point with hot water

  • @DemDaggers as the razor cuts the hair it gripps only slightly before it cuts it, this results in it being pulled slightly upwards (not as in up the face, as in it is pulled from the hair follicle), the hysteresis principle relies on the fact that there is a slight pause before the hair follicle will relax and cause the hair to return to its origin, in this time the next blade cuts it, once it does then relax it drops below the skin line.

Personally i now use a Cut throat razor for this reason.

  • dude at the end ain't black i mean i've seen some black people with gud hair but damn what's his secret that ain't no dr. miracle relaxer neither

  • ingrown hair is a problem for everyone

  • Okay go ahead. Who purchased this and would like to tell us whether it works or not.

  • I wipe my skin with mini alcohol pads about 3 times a day, that helps a ton. If I don't then my bumps get pretty bad. I suggest this to all with the issue. Also my barber instructed me to scrub the area a any type of somewhat hard sponge while in the shower. You can get these pads from the first aid isle in any drug store or pharmacy.

  • I like to pull the hairs out with the edge of a alcohol wipe. The hairs are very small but their is uaually one in the middle or outter edge of ec=very hair bump. Find a good mirror and pull the hairs out. Dont cut it yet, but let it continue to grow out. Once the swelling goes down and the hair grows then cut it but about the skin, not close. You have to let ur face heal. If u cut it while ur face isnt healed u might just shave over a scab making it look worse.....trimmers work best tho.

  • wait. at the same time this commercial looks real, but then again, looks fake. I mean, it had me there when it had the CVS logo, but then reached out more to the African Americans...

    is it real?...lol.

i get ingrown hairs and a very few shaving bumps and i'm asian.

  • I use this stuff everyday! It is available at CVS stores and it REALLY does work. You should try the shower gel as a shave gel. It works FANTASTIC! I am not affiliated with the company. I just tell everyone that I can about this stuff in hopes that more people would buy so that it stays around longer. Try it! you won't regret!

  • Heh, African Americans often have curly hair, which becomes more ingrown then normal hair. Asians hardly ever have curly hair, which could explain why you get so few.

  • @pancheezyfosheezy Lol Yeah it reached out more to African Americans because that's who it's targeting. Like RantzOn and the vid said, African Americans and ppl with curly hair tend to have these problems more. It's like Snuggie, targeting Caucasians, I mean, have you seen a Black, Hispanic, or Asian on those commercials? Lmao

My question is, why can't they include women?! I want some of this shit! Lol

  • @pancheezyfosheezy It is marketed to African Americans 1) they are looking for shaving products 2) it explained some people are more prone to irritation related to melanin, which you also have more of, not being European, and 3) because marketing systems reinforce human ignorance of which parts of us are different and which are the same. So if you watched the video and think you might have sensitive skin, try it.

  • I have had horrible razor bumps on my head for the longest and have tried everthing. THIS STUFF REALLY WORKS!!! Better than Bumpstopper, Tend Skin, and everything else. Someone in the medical field has FINALLY said what I have been saying for YEARS. The hair was NOT growing out of the skin then back into it. My hair was growing under the skin AFTER the shave process. It's a shame all these dermatologists could not see this. Finally, A DOC with some common sense. Corny name but this stuff works!

  • you know ive tried nair, but like idk it always gives me a rash on my legs, like i always get a lot of red bumps

  • well nair is a strong chemical,it made my face burn a little after i used it.the best way to remove hair is to use the wax removal,or lazer.I dont get bumps when i shave my legs, but i rarely shave my legs anyway..for the pubic area i use a micro shaver, just google or web search micro shaver, its very small and fully waterproof, you can actually shave underwater

  • I am white and I get ingrown hairs.

  • @leannaknight

You're the exception that proves the rule

  • @leannaknight You might have sensitive skin. In any case, your having ingrown hairs suggests that what the video says might be correct, yet I think having curly hair still exacerbates some problems. What is your specific European heritage, I wonder?

  • Also, I'm female. I made it pretty obvious so I don't know why you're doubting my gender.

  • I know, and I'm not willing to apply nair to my pubic region. And I'm not willing to get laser treatments.

And I watched the video, I'm aware its not about ingrown hairs. Me wondering if it can work for ingrown hairs does not make me an idiot.

  • i dont think its just black ppl whpo get them though, i get loads!

  • Pff, where do you think I got these problems?! I love my mama, but I can NOT follow some of her tips!

  • What about us African American women shaving our coochies? >;\

  • SHAVING GUIDE

Get rid of exiting bumps with BUMP ZAPPER KIT [never shave over existing bumps - will worsen the condition]

    Multi-Blade Razors recommended.

Lubricate skin with warm water & shave gel.

Shave with 4-Blade Schick Quattro Power Razor or 5-Blade Gillette Fusion Power Razor

    Apply BUMP ZAPPER Healing Lotion

ELECTRIC RAZOR SHAVE: Lubricate skin with BREEJ Anti Bump Pre-Electric Shave Lotion and shave with the 3-head rotary Norelco shaver.

Apply BUMP ZAPPER Healing Lotion to shaved area

  • With BUMP ZAPPER shavers are guaranteed smooth, stubble-free, bump-free, skin

Bumps are primarily caused by Trauma from Shaving, resulting in inflammation of shaved area manifested as "bumps" as the body reacts to the trauma. Irritated keratinocytes triggers melanogenesis [production of skin pigment melanin] a complex biochemical process that also produces additional inflammatory mediators [explains why African Americans with higher melanin levels suffer disproportionately from Bumps]

  • personally i would rather have some stubble on my face than be covered in razor bumps. its up to you. sometimes people say to me 'you could do with a shave' i think to myself. 'yeah your face is in a mess because of razor damage. i think ill stick with my stubble.'

  • if you get razor bumps its because your're skin has not yet become conditioned to regular and vigorous shaving. if your skin is prone to razor bumps i would simply advise you not to close or wet shave, Instead try using a beard trimmer that has optional length settings. i used to get razor bumps when i closed shaved with an electrical razor. i stopped close shaving 6 years ago and started using a beard trimmer i havent had a razor bump in 6 years. coincidence?

  • I am as white as one fella can get and I get these bumps. The most ironic thing? The more exspensive the razor, the worse the bumps are. I don't know the reason. I have no clue.

  • why do only black dudes have bumps? and if they arent the only ones that have them, why did the chamercial try to put that point forward?

  • I have hirsutism, (hairy skin) I have folliculitis, (ingrown hairs) Does this product really work? If so, I am going to buy some tomorrow. I like to have soft, smooth skin and I can not with folliculitis.

  • Our Products Work!

Put them to the test. You will be glad you did
