I strongly urge all of you to watch the Oil Non-Crises. It's on google video. If the premise of that video is true, oil producing nations that are friendly to the US are forced to take a portion of their oil revenues and buy American treasury bills. That means whenever the US buys oil from them, a portion of that money - your tax money - purchases the debt of the US. This is a hidden form of taxation on the American people. Two oil countries refused: Iraq, Iran. Guess who's next?

Now we're getting it! Finally! Iraq dropped the US dollar in 2001 and who did we invade??? Funny how Iran, and Venezuela who have BOTH talked about dropping the dollar and trying to use their influence to get OPEC to do the same are now being targeted by the media and administration as "evil". It's interesting you mentioned the British reinstalling the taliban, I saw something on the news just this morning regarding British and American forces retraining the forces in Afghanistan to take care of themselves basically. I thought that was terribly odd. Living in Asia I hear a lot of news related to Russian/China/India relations. I also see Japan helping to India and China. I wonder how they will play their hand should it come the need.
