  • Oh man! Wow, I had never seen the part with the bread slices!

  • I have the feeling that if Robert Sean Leonard, Wilson from House M.D, could sing, he would make the perfect Dan.

  • What happened to everything else?

  • *Speaker tells people that recording is prohibited*

*Pulls out camera and starts taping*

    lol :)

  • so um the three best parts of this musical: the music, the characters, aaron tveit being shirtless in the first three minutes of the musical.

  • i. love. brian. d'arcy. james. as. dan.

  • Is this from Broadway or Pre Broadway? Does anyone know? Thanks :)

  • @defygravity1998 it's off-broadway :)

  • Thank you so so so SO much for posting this. It's amazing how much it changed before the Broadway production. This show is hands down the greatest ever written.

  • On one level, it probably wasn't necessary to have Aaron shirtless, but on another, it was completely, 100% necessary ;)

  • 'The taking of photographs is strictly forbidden.'

    *brings up camera*

  • What happened to Just Another Day?? The lyrics changed! (and i don't like it too much)

  • @CrazySVUFan This is the show LONG before it reached Broadway. This version of the show is actually about 3 rewrites before the final Broadway version. In fact, it still has Brian d'Arcy James in it.

  • @CrazySVUFan This was the version of the show that came before the version we love so very much. There a amazing parts and parts that deserved to be cut.

  • Oh. My. God. Thank you to the director for having aaron tviet come on shirtless!

  • I love it so much better with Curt Hansen

  • They changed the opening lyrics so much.. Goodness.

  • 7:52 when she's laying on the bread hahaha

  • never saw this opening before love it

  • love it.

  • OMG THANK YOU!

  • i LOVE how they made Dan do an impersonation like they make the doctor do

  • I love how you had the camera running for the part that talked about turning off electronics! haha Thanks 1000000x for posting this!

  • aaron tveit makes me feel funny in my tummy.

  • @eisnergurlzz58 agreed, he is an incredible talent and such a sweet guy!

  • @ImFancyPants yes! most people just like him for his looks (which, or course i do...) but he's also genuinely sweet and caring and SOO talented! :)

  • I love Nats lyrics here more than those seen as official its more teenage or something seems more realistic

  • i died the second i saw aaron tveit's abs in combination with his voice.

  • i could tell that was Brian D Arcy James by his eyebrows in the very beggining

  • I feel like the majority of the lyrical changes were to get rid of the stupid clichés... like changing "with tender loving care" to "with patience and with care" and the "let there be light" to "we need some light." The new lyrics are MUCH better.

  • @EntertainmentAddams If they're anything like my theatre, they eat all the food anyways. :D

  • how much bread did they waste during the whole run off-broadway and broadway? lol

  • Yay thanks for recording.

  • @carzady895 Ah. the shaky passion of alice ripley is what makes the character so beautiful. Not perfect, but next to it. Haunting even. At first, irritiating, but upon closer inspection, a true work of art

  • I'd like to personally thank who ever made the decision to have Gabe shirtless during this song.

  • @ellenrocksyourworld i second that thank. amen :)

  • i love the part when Alice became crazy with the breakfast, because the lyrics are funny but when you see Alice is really "shocking" or like "Wow what happen?"

  • this is strictly prohibited. :p

  • It's so interesting to see the difference in lyrics. I don't know why, I guess it's because I'm fascinated by the creative process.

  • oh foreshadowing!

  • Sometimes I'm in love with Brian D'Arcy James....

I lied. It's all the time. I'm in love with him. All. The. Time.

  • if this is the off broadway one then they didnt have allot of the final ideas down yet

  • 5:50 why this part was removed from the soundtrack I don't know.

  • where is everything else?

  • alice ripley in that red satin...WOW

  • @mongrelbreed81 along with that, this performance is fantastic! I LOVE this show :D

  • chills the entire time. love it

  • This is AMAZING! Alice Ripley and the daughter are amazing!

  • I only saw this three days before cllosing... i wish i saw it several times before. I love this show too much to not miss it... I'm going to use their songs for auditions soon <3

  • I miss this show so much. <3

  • Wow, when was this filmed? I didn't think they added the "and I think the house is spinning" bit until Arena Stage.

  • Electronic devices off, no photography???? Umm..do you follow rules?! you can be in huge trouble.

  • @lilsquirt2221

but without this bootleg copy you wouldnt have this DON'T COMPLAIN

  • Wait a second.....it's all the original cast except for the husband. (I don't remember his name >.>)

  • @carriewhite410 I think his name was bobby something...I can't quite rememebr

  • Comment removed

  • @carriewhite410 Brian D'Arcy James was the original Dan in the off-broadway run (which this video is) also, the doctor is different. Louis Hobson is OBC Doctor, Asa Somers is the doctor in these videos. He is currently playing Dan in the tour production as well

  • I don't think they should have cut the "light" from the prelude.. i LOVE it!

  • @MakeupBySav Yes but, when you go to the theatre, all the time before start the lights are on

  • @MakeupBySav Well once they changed the lyrics to light, it didn't work so well, is my guess.

  • @MakeupBySav It is nice, but I think that the power of the Prelude as it's heard on the soundtrack much better is used without Light. :)

  • he's shirtless?? he's shirtless!!! why wasn't aaron tveit shirtless on broadway?? why?!! :D

  • @broadwaybeltit He was when I saw him...

  • @broadwaybeltit Hmm...I don't know. I saw it awhile ago in LA and Gabe was shirtless there.

  • @broadwaybeltit Hmm...I don't know. I saw it awhile ago in LA and Gabe was shirtless there. But some of the jokes were apparently cut. They didn't have Dan start screaming "Woo-hee, let's see that snake oil salesmen!"

  • This is the only musical that made me cry. It felt so real. I mean how they all reacted isn't all "acted" to make it funny. It's just true.

  • This is the best musical IN THE WORLD!!!

  • @Meadowlark87 My father is going to direct it on argentina IT'S GOING TO BE A SUCCES!!

  • @Claxonrock Fantastic!!!

  • I love "Perfect". Not as much as "Everything Else" but....it's...well, perfect.

  • THE FIRST PART IS FINALLY HERE!

  • "why does he hate me?" thats so sad.
