  • Always loved the bass sound at 1;13. Throughout the show, on the released (and unreleased) tracks, when I first discovered that was your sound a year ago, and to this day. If this were an mp3 I'd have been after it!

  • ITS OVER 9.000!!!!!

  • This really does have an element of the HTC theme in it!

    Nice work !

Getting really funky on that drum pad machine there I liked that :D

    Great stuff

  • what kind of synthersizer did you use while making this video? the sounds are nice

  • thats BAD ASS

  • what number did u use for the key board

  • I remember watching this!, Wow it was 2 years ago @_@.

    Sounds great still!

  • btw I think I paid 500 for mine at Kennelly Keys.

  • thanks, they look worth that amount though

  • How much do those handsonics cost?

  • =] awesome

  • CRAZY!!!!

  • wow awesome love dbz!

  • Man, I used to have that same poster... wish I still did but I think my mom might have thrown it away.

  • that was the poster i REALLLLLLY wanted but cant get it anywhere now :o(

  • hey scott, do you have this song as an mp3 at all?

    it's catchy as hell! lol

  • damn. just damn. that was the sweetest thing I have ever saw. I'm a producer that loves all walks of music (especially music like this!) and always tried to make music like this but it is so damn hard. I'm tryna figure out the basic principles of DBZ music and integrate that style into my own. How do you do it man? oh yeah I subscribed!!!. you are the motherfucking man! that is a 100% pure compliment coming from a person that practically worships this genre of music! =]

  • That drum machine has awesome sounds man!

  • Now I know the man behind the curtains, I forgot how I came across your page but I can see clearly now.. Lol...

  • The guitar was a little much. ^^;

  • how many instruments can this guy play

  • Just out of curiousty, what's your opinion on all of the die hard Japanese DB fans out there that detest the American music?

I for one am in love with this music. I'm not sure what it is. Perhaps I'm biased since I grew up with it, but either way I think there's just something in it that only some people can appreciate.

  • I am buying all the remastered DBZ seasons but I miss the the great American Music the made all the fights and tense momments awsome

  • Warfield, you do know you can go to Setup and select the US music to play instead of the Japanese, right? I do it every time.

  • So, instead of listening to japanese music, you hit U.S. broadcast and it goes to faulconer music ?

  • Yep, and don't worry, it's still uncut.

  • Thanks A lot, for assuring me that it's not just japanese music.

  • I found it so awesome to see how songs get created in DBZ, this was soo awesome! 5/5

  • hehe thx man. Though in reality it was never this fast XD I figured out the sounds ahead of time and had a pretty tight plan before I made the video of course. I think I spent a couple hours in preparation.

  • its effing awesome to watch somebody who worked on funi dbz's music jam out... seriously... for a complete lack of better words...

    ::grabs bubbler::

  • Nice studio!! I'm lookin' to get started on gettin' some gear in mid Spring. These videos are not only of great music, but inspirational.

  • Dude... sweet drum thing! What is that?

  • Its a Roland HandSonic =) Here I'm just using it as a MIDI controller. The actual sound comes from elsewhere.

  • Is it a live drum synth type thing on Cakewalk or Fruitly loops? Or somethin like that...

  • Wicked awesome, dude.

  • Incredible to no end, honestly.

  • Oh, I don't know if I asked this but what happened to Dale Kelly? (Announcer/Cpt. Ginyu which he voiced better then Brice in my opinion)

  • Yeah I liked him too. Trixen01 who voiced the announcement for my Z Music album was immitating Mr. Kelly. I dunno why Dale stopped working on the show tbh.

  • hey that poster is my BG image on YouTube!!

  • So you're a Jedi Knight fan too then? Awesome. And that poster is WIN.

  • You may have answered it in a previous comment, but just a curious question:

What guitar is that? Specifics appreciated ;)

  • What I picture in my head is a 'Super Cell' out to destroy the world.

  • this is insane... so just a regular jam session for you will result in these amazing tracks lol.. that's crazy, you could record this and use it a track just by itself.

  • Oh MAAAaaaaaaan ... You are AWESOME !!!

  • what tayln08 said man

    u and bruce are awesome

  • what programs did you use? I'm starting to get into DBZ style music(again!)

  • Here I'm using Cubase SX and Kontakt3. The choir stab sounds are Voices of the Apocalypse. The DBZ specific sounds I can't reveal unfortunately.

  • So that's how you record the drums. That's very creative.

  • this is amazin you certainly are musical =).

I play drums but ive never seen a drum pad before.

    Good stuff man.

    Dan

  • Thanks :)

Depends on how I decided to do it. On the drum pads I play kick on a pad, not on a pedal so its just a matter of using two hands/thumbs (middle fingers keep the rides going). Check out my HandSonic video, I think I do it in there.

On a keyboard sometimes there's two keys with kick so I alternate those.

Or if it's a little double kick flourish that I do sometimes...those are often edited in the MIDI editor. I just draw in more notes in between the existing ones.

  • this is asome

  • how were u able to get to work with Bruce?

  • He posted an assistant composer ad at my school. I submitted my demos and resume. I had no idea what I would be working on.

  • Wow, awesome stuff. Are you or Bruce going to have any part in the live Dragonball movie?

  • Thanks :) No, the very capable Brian Tyler is doing the live action movie.

  • okay. I knew that Tyler was doing the music, but I didn't know if you were involved. It'd be nice though for the sequel if you were in it since that is most likely where there will be battles with Goku and Vegeta, and it's almost impossible to think of them fighting in reality without the sick guitar riffs playing in the background that got me into rock music.

  • WOw man that's so awesome :) To think my guitar playing got someone into rock!!

Yeah I'd give my left nut to work on the movie, but I'm somewhat of an unknown. I guess I should be beating down doors somewhere XD. Fact is I've kinda settled into a nice day job at Microsoft and music is more of a hobby these days. hmm...gosh I guess I could contact Brian on Myspace...I doubt he'd answer though.

  • Damn!! You're surprised to know that you got somebody into rock?! Everyone that I know that grew up with the show would agree with me that you got us into rock.

I think I might make a petition for you soon. I'm going to try my best to get you into the sequel's soundtrack.

  • Nice Sound...Nice equipment

  • stupid question... who signed your poster i couldn't make it out lol... love the music by the way did you work on hyperbolic time chamber? that songs awesome...

  • Tthat poster is from the Season 3 cast party, so everyone that was there. The two sigs at the start of the vido are Sean Schemmel (Goku\King Kai) & Dale Kelly (announcer and Capt. Ginyu) It then scrolls by Tiffany Vollmer (Bulma) & Chris Sabat(Vegeta, Piccolo, etc). Some other ones are Krillin, Dende, Chi Chi, Master Roshi\Yajirobe, & Barry Watson (producer). Also got a poster from the Cell Saga party.

Nope, didn't work on H. Time Chamber, but I know how it was done ^^ Good stuff

  • Oh thats cool

  • Excuse me for asking, but what was that drum-like thing you were playing on your lap in the beginning?

  • It's the Roland HandSonic 10. Note that here I'm only using it as a MIDI controller. The drums sounds themselves come from elswhere.

Check out my HandSonic video for more of that. It's a sweet device for non-drummers. I can't play with sticks worth $*&%#$&

  • Sick stuff, hah you look kinda like the guy from the silent hill movie, if ya never saw that...then Alec from 007 Goldeneye xD

  • wow.. dude .. this is awesome!!!

  • Is bruce faulconer a nice guy?

  • He's nice enough to talk to. We don't exactly talk anymore though. I didn't leave on very friendly terms...(neither did Mike Smith btw)

  • oh okay.

  • Wanna explained what happened? :P

  • Sorry, shouldn't go into that.

  • didn't leave on friendly terms? :( that sux. Ah well it happens. I've only ever spoken to Bruce once through email lol.

  • Awesome DUDE! That's talent right there!

  • You are a god =]. I love DBZ, Faulconer and Now you haha..your the man at making music.

  • Thats Awesome, u use to work with Bruce

  • Really, really great man :) Nice Job!

  • wow awesome man

  • fuck you on about the drumbeats, it rules and so does the rest of the video man, this guys a true DBZ and Bruce faulconer fan.

  • lol, dunno if I'd call myself a "Faulconer fan". "It's complicated"

    but thanks!!! :)

  • Wow,thats a lot of expensive stuff and complex wireing!XD

  • i like it it sounds so evil

  • do you have this as a mp3 for download if so what is it called

  • Sorry, there's no mp3 of this one. There's lots of other DBZ style tracks on my main website though. Thanks for the interest though; I'll have to consider getting something put together for this :)

  • I like everything except the drum beats. Great vid yet again.

  • kool

  • its actually gonna happen guys. its official come august 2008. its going to be in the dragon ball times though, which is cool with me. i just hope it will be good thats all. i was think that there should a matrix anime or even cartoon series as well.

  • What are you talking about? The movie? Jeez Clarify the topic within your post man.

  • That... is freaking amazing...

    10000/5 =]

  • What can I say? Awesome :)

  • Man! Great job!! I wish you were the composer for the Dragonball live action film!

  • Funi should have at least called you up instead of Menza if they couldn't get Bruce himself xD

  • hehe thx man =D. I wasn't actually bidding for the job though, for a lot of different reasons.

I certainly could have pushed myself to them. They were aware of me all along to some degree.

  • hey, did you do the guitar on "death of a hero" from the cell saga?

  • Yup, that was me :)

(btw, I practically quote it in this vid. Listen carefully)

  • I was wandering one thing. When Dragonball GT came out, it was a different composer. I always thought that I could hear some more music of Bruce. What happened?

By the way, awesome jam! I like to have a copy of that!

  • Hey there :) Mark Menza did GT, so it's all different music. Some of Bruce's practices...were...less tham ethical.

I really don't have an mp3 of this particular track available as its not really a fully produced track. Check out my main webpage for full tracks. Thanks!!

  • Less than ethical? In what way?

  • Well, I really can't go into that... =P

  • omg spuerb....you must had a lot of years of learning all those instruments and not the mention the pc knowhow to make`em all work in perfect sync. great job 5++

  • I can tell you have fun with this. I really enjoy the music you put out.

  • awesome

  • WOW awesome !!!!

  • NOW THAT WAS TIGHT!!

  • haha, that's cool

  • cool dbz poster :P

  • I thought u were bruce dude. But i like your vids keep em coming.

  • That was awesome! 5*
