@rikkilucario7 no it isnt. ive done it before back when i was like 10. the vinegar eats the shell away, bu the semi-permeable membrane inside remains intact. since it is only semi permeable, things like water can go through the membreane and some things cant. also if you soak it in...i think it was corn syrup, then extremely think syrup will cause the moisture in the soft egg to be drawn out, to balance the pressure, and the egg will shrink to the size of the yolk. go ahead and try it.

I did this experiment in school. Except we took it a little further, It took a total of three days with vinegar, maple syrup and gaterade. It removed the egg shell then it shrunk the egg then the gaterade expanded the egg and changed its color! It was awesome!
