I could be wrong, but is it possible that you cannot truly be obedient to Christ a part from love? It seems like you're saying that you can earn your way to heaven through obedience. I always thought that your obedience was based on your love. If not, then obedience would actually just point people to your actions and not to God's redeeming love that is reflected in your obedience. But, hey, I just love Jesus and do my best to show the world how much He loves me.

I disagree with them because Paul of the Bible himself says his teachings do not come from the wisdom of man but directly from the Holy Spirit (God Himself). When a man takes theology, he has to pay money for it. The teachers who teach it don't teach it out of the love of God, but FOR MONEY, so they don't even know the truth to begin with. They teach a form of Christianity that does not involve repentance but blessings and good.

I could be wrong, but is it possible that you cannot truly be obedient to Christ a part from love? It seems like you're saying that you can earn your way to heaven through obedience. I always thought that your obedience was based on your love. If not, then obedience would actually just point people to your actions and not to God's redeeming love that is reflected in your obedience. First of all, whoever made this does NOT know what Mark Driscoll teaches AT ALL, not even VAGUELY, because what Driscoll teaches that your teaching lacks is the balance of Grace. Yes, righteousness is important, but if we were able to be righteous through our own works, Jesus wouldn't have been necessary. Why did God need to send his Son to die, if our righteousness is enough? Truth and law without grace futile, and i wish it would let me type more!

Preaching is done at full volume ("to cry out"/kerusso in Greek). Talking one to one is not preaching. What we did at Mars Hill is Isa 58:1 and Eph 5:11, and IS loving one's neighbor. I disagree with them because Paul of the Bible himself says his teachings do not come from the wisdom of man but directly from the Holy Spirit (God Himself). When a man takes theology, he has to pay money for it. The teachers who teach it don't teach it out of the love of God, but FOR MONEY, so they don't even know the truth to begin with. They teach a form of Christianity that does not involve repentance but blessings and good.

They live strictly according to scripture. The scripture is sufficient. The church I go to I have been going my entire life, but it is still false and corrupt as can be. A lot of what they do/speak is watered down. If you think about it, how's it biblical that the pastor chooses who gets to preach? Then it is very possible he exercises favoritism and ignores those who speak truth.

@overboardbriggs Well, considering that Jacobus Arminius (founder of Arminian Theology, as I'm sure you know) lived in the late 16th, early 17th century, and the Remonstrants didn't start until well into the 17th Century, Arminiam theology is not really any older than Calvinism. In fact, Calvin started his writings around 1534, so if anything, Calvinism is an older doctrine than Arminian theology.

@Rocky777 CHurch goers are not saved, they are religious. They don't believe the Bible. They are on the BROADWAY to destruction led by the blind leading the blind. One person finished the sentence-big deal. They tolerate sin(like homos, fornicators, hypocrits), there is no conviction of sin, no repentance, no godly sorrow, no conversion, no holy Ghost power to save, to heal, to deliver...no signs following them, no holiness, no evangelism in the city streets, carnal rock n roll worshiptainment

@overboardbriggs Agreed! I dont believe going to church gets you saved. In fact i hate religion. I go to church to be surrounded by other believers, fellowship & meet brothers to keep me accountable. Iron sharpens iron. LOL they dont tolerate sin. Mark says homosexuality is a sin. I think you should be telling this stuff to joel osteen followers lol. Mark is a solid teacher. you still havent showed me examples how his teaching is undoctrinal.

@overboardbriggs sweet. I know the bible says don't be ashamed of the Gospel and that the Gospel will be offensive, but I think if your approach was less in your face itll be more effective. maybe try to hand out pamphlets that show unbiblical quotes of the teacher you dont agree with. build a relationship with the person first then share with them. Ive evangelized in the streets of Hollywood before and thats more effective than a bullhorn in their face.

Most in Mars Hill are going to hell because they have no fruit of repentance, nor active working faith obeyting the gospel Jesus brought to men. Mark D is a calvinist and promotes Once Saved Always Saved, is anti pentecost and tongues, is a lover of worldliness, and many other false ways. Eph 5:11 is why we went, so some might repent,& follow Jesus rather than a man

You blatantly pass over the passages that talk about salvation as a gift (Jesus is the author and perfecter of my faith), and you pick and choose to make God seem like an abusive father. We cannot lose our salvation. Salvation is of the lord. - Jonah 2:9.

@MrSB1274 Mark is a wolf teaching tickling ear demon doctrines such as Once Saved Always Saved. Read your Bible, ALL of it (Psa119:160; Mt 4:4) to come to the "whole counsel of GOd" on the subject.
IF means conditional. Rev 3:16 and Hosea 9:15-17 say you can be vomited out into hell, and not loved anymore!

Only God judges the fate of Men. Not you. The bible commands us to love, not condemn. Romans 3:23 says " for all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.

@overboardbriggs "So what are you DOING to evangelize...?" Last I checked, we are not saved by what we do, but by faith. If you think we can lose salvation, you place an inaccurate weight on what we can do to merit our salvation. You can also go in the opposite direction and say that since salvation is assured, you can sin and do whatever you want and still be saved. Both views are false. What you do will not save you, but if you are not born again and receive a new heart you are not saved.

@MrSB1274 If you aren't doing what Jesus commanded you, you don't love him, and are deceiving yourself. He commanded us to DO things IF we are indeed born of His Spirit. ONe of those things we are COMMANDED to DO is evangelism Mk16:15 to the world so they can repent, etc. Jn14:15, 21-23; 1 Jn2:4; 5-3; btw Jesus was a street preachewr? Why then aren't you if you are following him? Maybe tyou follow another jesus who doesn't care about finding the lost sheep of Israel, jew or heathen eh?

@overboardbriggs You are saved by grace. We are all works in progress. Salvation is a gift. This is shown by numerous examples in the bible. As I layed out for you. You can sit there and try to point out that I am sinful. But those kind of people are usually the ones who ignore their own sin. There's a giant plank of Pride in your eye by the way.

@overboardbriggs: Romans 4:5 says salvation is a free gift. Romans 6:23 says that it is received through faith and 1 Thessalonians 4:7 says that once we are saved we are to live a holy or consecrated life. Jesus never says anywhere that you can lose your salvation.
