  • this is to the author: i agree with what your saying baout christinaity being wasteful , but u cannot say u are sinless- because jesus came to help the sinners- it sais in the bible that the only sinless person is jesus christ- if anyone who has ever sinned is goign to hell than why did jesus come? he came to wipe us of our sin- period, and to teach gods love and commandments, u have sinned. u cannot say u havnt because proudness is a sin-lucifer got kicked out of heaven for being proud

  • @tupac4life1989 nooone here ever said we have never sinned in the PAST. pay attention. YOu might learn something. The church says you can never stop sinning. The churches are liars and of the devil 1 jn 3:5-10

  • @overboardbriggs

    John 16:11 KJV

Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.

  • Galatians 2:16-20 HCSB

know that no one is justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ. And we have believed in Christ Jesus so that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law, because by the works of the law no human being will be justified. But if we ourselves are also found to be "sinners" while seeking to be justified by Christ, is Christ then a promoter of sin? Absolutely not! If I rebuild the system I tore down, I show myself to be a lawb

  • Acts 13:39 HCSB

and everyone who believes in Him is justified from everything that you could not be justified from through the law of Moses.

  • @perez85tkd James 2:19 the devil also "believes" and trembles. Is he going to be justified too? You 'cherry pick' one verse out of context to justify and excuse disobedience to the gospel. Heb 5:9. Faith means obeying all that God says Mt 4:4, not merely a head nod in agreement to something in history.

  • @overboardingbriggs I agree with what you're saying, just not how you're saying it. God bless. Peace out.

  • James 2:17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.

John 15:10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.

    John 14:12, 15

    15. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

    15. If ye love me, keep my commandments.

  • @overboardbriggs So which one would come first? Love or obedience.

  • @taylordrake4 FEAR OF GOD comes first- Prov 1:7 and Psa 111:10. Repentance (stop sinning) comes next-Lk13:3,5. Then (because of repentance)comes water baptism for God's pardon-Acts 22:16. Then comes receiving his indwelling Spirit- Acts 5:32, he who fears God, repents deepest and is forgiven much, loves (God) much. Love is obediance to God. Obediance is love for God. Faith is OBEDIANCE to God. Any faith less than obeying God is only "demon faith" James 2:19

  • I could be wrong, but is it possible that you cannot truly be obedient to Christ a part from love? It seems like you're saying that you can earn your way to heaven through obedience. I always thought that your obedience was based on your love. If not, then obedience would actually just point people to your actions and not to God's redeeming love that is reflected in your obedience. But, hey, I just love Jesus and do my best to show the world how much He loves me.

  • @taylordrake4 Heb 5:9; Jn 14:15, 21-23; 15:10; 1 Jn 5:2-3. To love God is to obey God, (His word, His commands). You can't truly love God apart from obediance. Realize that most will not come to the Light (or the Love) inspite of what you do or how much God loves you. They hated Jesus who perfectly loved by perfectly obeying God his Father, and Jesus willingly layed down his life demonstrating his love for those who hate God and STILL the Jews never repented.

  • Are you dumb? Do you really think that you are following the Bible? God says to treat other people like you would want to be treated, you really want them to come yell bull at you? I did not think so. You are about as bad a WBC... Just shut up and let people think what they want to think...

  • @iceboundnormal8 Jesus yelled at people, (Jn7: 28Then cried (Gk=shout, cried aloud)Jesus in the temple as he taught, saying, Ye both know me, and ye know whence I am: and I am not come of myself, but he that sent me is true, whom ye know not.

29 But I know him: for I am from him, and he hath sent me" and v 37, so you would tell Jesus to "shut up and let people think what they want to think." We are "dumb" like Jesus is! PTL! Thanks for the hatred!

  • God's command is to believe Jesus is the son of God, repent, and live for God's glory. Simple, yet so hard.

  • @dzpisx YES. "believe" = OBEY Him; "faith"=works of OBEDIENCE; "repent" =die to sinning. SImple yet so hard on the flesh and religions!

  • @overboardbriggs Yep. Belief is faith. Faith is dead without good works. Repent literally translates to "a change of mind for the better." Or reestablishing of priorities. Your desire to sin should vanish. Your #1 priority should be to glorify God. I deleted folders of porn, put an adult block on my computer (pray for me man, I have addictions! I ask for God's help every time.) Repentance is a change of heart. God doesn't ask us to be perfect (Romans 7), rather, to repent.

  • Love Christian wars

  • @Tomekwinxs I can hardly wait until Jesus goes to war with christianity

  • @Tomekwinxs You have NOT seen ANYTHING YET!!!

  • GOD DEMONSTRATED HIS LOVE TOWARDS US IN THAT WHILE WE WERE YET SINNERS CHRIST DIED FOR US!!!! how can you say God doesn't love sinners when he sent his only son to die for us, also God loved DAVID the man after his own heart, but guess wat david was a lieing, murdering, adulterer but GOD STILL LOVED DAVID, a sinner, jus sayin any theologically unstable belief can be combated directly with scripture, i dont have to quote ghandi, and talk about what isnt in the bible i can talk about what is in it

  • @RookiesProduction DAvid REPENTED Psa 51. If he didn't repent from lying, adultery and murdering he would be in hell now inspite of God's love for sinners. His love for sinners is CONDITIONAL upon their repentance and obedience to His WOrds. YOu cut out Psa 5:5 and 7:11 with your xacto blade

  • .. after rebirth because that's God's Plan, and Philip was God's Man, and did Things God's Way, so the rebirth must be immediate as soon as we believe, like is so commonly found in scripture, and then Baptism follows "salvation" or the rebirth, so salvation is immediate and it is eternal life, so in order to be eternal it can't ever go away or it would have gaps and therefore not be eternal, read Romans 8 explains rebirth, and life as that NEW CREATION.

  • @RookiesProduction You and churchianity contradict Jesus who told Nik we don't perceive or know how and when the rebirth happens. It is wind entering and moving inside of a man's soul and spirit. Jhn 3:8-The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but >CANST NOT TELL< whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit. THe only evidence is the fruit of righteous living evident thereafter. Sins MUST be "washed away" and repented by H2O

  • Respond to this video... this is the gospel that one MUST obey to not experience God's wrath on you Jn3:36; Mk 16:16 and 2Thess 1:7-8and1Pe 4:17.WHy don't you cut those out with you xacto blade too, hmm? And these: Rom 6:3-4;Act 22:16And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and WASH AWAY THY SINS, calling on the name of the Lord";ACTS 2:38-39 Psa 119:60 I made haste, and delayed not to keep thy commandments.

  • @overboardbriggs When I say God doesn't ask us to be perfect, before you throw Matt. 5:38 at me, I mean that it's impossible to literally never sin again. Jesus was giving us a goal. A mindset to long to achieve. You DO NOT KNOW how BADLY I long everyday for perfection. If I could end all sin in the world and in my life right this moment, I'd do it in a heartbeat. I have repented, I believe, and I'm actively working on my good works by faith in Jesus. :) Love you guys.

  • @RookiesProduction ROman 8 starts with water baptism in Romans 6. Also eternal life is only being and remaining, abiding IN and obeying CHRIST Rom 8:1"Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. ", not in sinning after coming to Christ and dying to sin in water burial. 1Cr 6:11; 1Cr 12:13; Gal 3:27; Tts 3:5; Hbr 10:22; 1Pe 3:21;

  • ... and paul states several times that we experience two births water birth ( born as a baby from our mother) and spiritual birth which is rebirth through christ, so baptism ( which would be another water birth) is not part of the spiritual rebirth.. Also in the great commision according to each disciple that recorded it just said to 1. Share the Gospel/Make Disciples ( teach about Christ) THEN BAPTIZE THEM, Philip was sent of God and followed God's word, so when he baptized the Eunach it was...

  • @RookiesProduction You error not knowing the whole counsel of God and by clinging to false doctrine from a pulpit pimp professional eartickler who you pay (tithe)each Sunday. IN the new covenant water immersion is death to self, sin and death to affection for the world which God hates, and it IS REQUIRED to be free from former sins and God's wrath. (The repentant thief on his death cross, ie=water baptism, was OLD TESTAMENT, because Christ hadn't died yet.)

  • You're right obviously we serve a deceptive God, that wants to trick us, GOD SAID THAT HE WOULD PRESERVE HIS WORD AND KEEP IT HOLY, i believe he has and is doing just that, so that i can read it and trust what it says, Chirst loves sinners, because he came to seek and save them Luke 19:10 , also the etheopian eunach was obviously right reborn after Philip talked with him about Christ, because shortly afterwords he was baptized, baptism is not part of the rebirth because Jesus tells nichodemus..

  • @RookiesProduction Psa 18:26 With the pure thou wilt shew thyself pure; and with the froward thou wilt shew thyself froward. FROWARD means twisted, crafty, deceitful. Pro 3:34 Though He scoffs at the scoffers, Yet He gives grace to the afflicted. WHy don't you read and trust what Psa 5:4-5 and Psa 7:11-12 says??? CHirst and GOd only love repentant sinners ewho obey their commands Jn14:15,21-24; 15:10 and 1 Jn5:2-3

  • okay obviously we have different opinions on context of scripture and using the bible as a whole instead of the bits and pieces we like... thank you for this interesting conversation,

  • ... in conclusion, whoever made this video is not as biblically educated as they are self-righteous ... study study study dont just read a verse and jump to a conclusion study and show your self apporved.. and destruction comes from lack of knowledge... STUDY and try to UNDERSTAND exogetically and expositionally what the BIBLE is teaching and actually learn what the WORD OF GOD IS... NOT JUST WHAT YOU WANT IT TO BE OR WHAT YOU HOPE IT IS.... STUDY BEFORE YOU MAKE ANY MORE VIDEOS LIKE THIS PLEASE

  • @RookiesProduction You can ''study'' and still never come the the epignosis of the truth. If you don't do what you are studying, you heap more judgment on yourself and are a fool before God. Also note this:"If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or I speak of myself-Jn7:17. You are the ones who are "hoping and wanting" the Word to mean what YOU want it to mean, not me. Jn5:39-47 ("Believe/hear/ears to hear" means to OBEY,not merely to study

  • Alos, FYI GOD hates sin not sinners... it is his will that none shall perish but have eternal life... ALSO, the only man to live sinless was Christ, that's the beauty of Salvation, CHRIST became sin for us so that WE COULD be made THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF HIM before the Father...the Bible teaches us that when we accpet CHRIST as Savior and are BORN AGAIN that we are made the RIGHTEOUSNESS of CHRIST!!!

  • @RookiesProduction "God hates the sinner, not the sinner"? REALLY? M. Ghandi invented that lie (google it) God hates all workers of iniquity and is angry with the wicked everyday Psa 5:5; 7:11; 2 Thess 1:7-8. "Except YOUR righteousness[NOT Christ's righeousness imputed to you] exceed that of the Pharisees..." , and Rev 19:7-8 says you must "make yourself ready... with righteous works". Jesus is the firstborn of many brethren who are overcoming and not sinning anymore. THat's what he came for!

  • What... being born again is in the bible... JESUS CHRIST HIMSELF tells Nichodemus that for a man to inherit the kingdom of he has to be born again... BIRTH is a ONE TIME THING... how many people do you know that are CONTINUALLY BEING BORN!!! oh yea no one birth is an EVENT that happens not a continuos act... and the APOSTLE PAUL that was CALLED OF CHRIST does tell us the importance of being a part of a LOCAL CHURCH!!!

  • @RookiesProduction No one knows when and how the newbirth occurs or who is born from Above except by their fruit of righteousness. Jhn 3:8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

  • Respond to this video... "Local church"? 1st -"church" is NOT in the Bible (Greek of Hebrew) 2nd-"local" meant in their day a home, not a church building. 3rd Jesus NEVER said "Join a local church" & neither did Paul. Todays' "local church" is apostate, a daughter of Whore Babylon the Great. Rev18:2-8 Jesus COMMANDS His sheep to flee from. IF you don't hear this you aren't His1Jo 4:6 he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us.

  • I like to eat popcorn

  • Completely, utterly absurd.

  • wow.. this is seriously messed up. First of all, whoever made this does NOT know what Mark Driscoll teaches AT ALL, not even VAGUELY, because what Driscoll teaches that your teaching lacks is the balance of Grace. Yes, righteousness is important, but if we were able to be righteous through our own works, Jesus wouldn't have been necessary. Why did God need to send his Son to die, if our righteousness is enough? Truth and law without grace futile, and i wish it would let me type more!

  • This video is ridiculous. Whoever made this video is very deceived.

  • @joshuapitka Mark Driscoll is ridiculous. Whoever made Mars Hill is very deceived.

  • @overboardbriggs Bro I hear your heart man. I think there is a better way to go about it though. Is your heart so broken that you weep over these souls being lost every day? Leonard Ravinhill (I believe it was) said, "To talk to men for God is a great thing. But to talk to God for men is greater still." I think both are necessary. But our message is not a message of condemnation, it is a message that must come from the power of the spirit of God - with power - with substance.

    Love you bro -

  • @overboardbriggs Just know that God will hold you accountable also for all that you do and say. Make sure what you are doing you are doing out of love.

  • "His intent was that now, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms"

Ephesians 3:10 (NIV)....."Therefore take heed to yourselves and to all the flock,

among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers,

to shepherd the church of God which

He purchased with His own blood."

    Acts 20:28 (NKJV). Good Day.

  • @BURREMAT000 The late centuries word "church" is NOT in the Greek N T, but ecclessia is. Big difference! (Good day to you too). Mars Hill is NOT the ecclessia, but it is a "church". So what?

  • This is trash. Believers in the Gospel know why this is trash. A Pharisee telling a group of Christian's that they're not saved because they're too religious. Where did it all go wrong?

  • @BURREMAT000 Christianity (like Mars Hill, ALL denominations, catholicism, pentecostalism, etc) IS "the broad road" to eternal destruction, not the "narrow road" to eternal life. The Devil also is "believer" (Ja.2:19) in God and His gospel. So what?

  • Matthew 7:5 You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye. No one ever embraces the title of Pharisee with open arms, most Pharisees destroy the faith of other believers under the guise of protecting the true message of scripture. By engaging in this conversation, we've both wasted valuable time that could have been spent on sharing the gospel. James 3:17 bro. Check it out.

  • @BURREMAT000 IF you have done the "first" (taking the beam out ), THEN you can see clearly (judge righteously) and help others remove their specks. I am going preaching tonight at the U2 concert in Seattle. What are you doing to preach the gospel? Who is "embracing" that title? Not me! (Becareful not to judge me Mt 7:2). If you are of God, you would hear us, but you don't as evidenced by you confronting us here for proclaiming the truth in front of an icon's whorehouse, Mars Hill... Lk13:3,5

  • @BURREMAT000 Ja 3:17 is not the context of what we did at Mars Hill. Preaching and admonishing socalled "believers" to repentance IS "wisdom from Above". Preaching is done at full volume ("to cry out"/kerusso in Greek). Talking one to one is not preaching. What we did at Mars Hill is Isa 58:1 and Eph 5:11, and IS loving one's neighbor. Lev 19:17;and James 5:19- 20

  • Respond to this video... BTW, BTW, a hypocrit is if I went to church, but then told you not to go to church. I don't "go to church", and "going to church" is unscriptural! Actually "church goers" ARE disobeying Heb 10:25

  • You win. I'm clearly not a believer because I go to church to worship God with other apparently "non believers." Psalm 122: "I was glad when they said unto me,

Let us go into the house of the LORD." Don't lie to people by saying the Bible is anti-church. This is EXACTLY what the Devil wants for Christians. To get us caught up in stupid arguments that divide the church. I am done responding to you, and I will spend my day praying for the people negatively affected by your "LAW LAW LAW!"

  • @BURREMAT000 They who endure to the End, win. BTW- The law of the LORD [is] perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD [is] sure, making wise the simple.Psa 19:7

  • Whoever you are that made this film. I can't help be feel sorry for you. You act like you're without sin, yet you sin throughout this video. The Bible does tell us as His followers to not forsake the assimbling of our selves, and the Bible tells us to give TITHES & offerings. And the bible tells use to preach the Bible to the Church! And you said Mark does whatever will put the most money in his picket. Well think for a moment, he gives a lot of money away for a man who "wants so much money."

  • how ignorant and religious can you be.....I understand we must siff everything, but don't go to the extreme of Faresey (mispelled) even Jesus had a treasurer...... thats why the gospel is so unattractive to the sinner, because we portray it as something you join, but your gona be BROKE BUSTED AND DISGUSTED!!!! Have a balance man.....YES we must search the spirits, but ONLY the Lord will Judge Driscoll for what ever he's doing thats NOT of HIM.

  • :55 voice FAIL

  • we are all sinners! all of us! we can only come to God through Christ! the end! this guy behind the camera thinks he is sinless?

  • MArk preaches everything from the bible! everything!!!! gosh im so upset that this guy filming is just so prideful and rude! Mark preaches JESUS!! and only JESUS! the only guy who needs to repent is the guy behind the camera!

  • @NancyVipPersonal Mark does NOT teach public preaching as commanded by Jesus of all His disciples Mk16:15. Mark does NOT teach being filled with the holy Spirit baptism and speaking in tongues when filled.(Jn7:37-39; Ac2; 10; 19) Mark does NOT teach new testament giving to the poor saints among us, but rather the old testament tithing to fleece the sheep (Ex34)today to support their mega church businesses. Do you want some more doctrines Mark doesn't teach?

  • @overboardbriggs He teaches EVERYTHING JESUS!!! JESUS is enough!

  • doesnt seem like the guys who is filming has any love in him. only pride!!

  • Dude! Mark Driscoll has used the same opening line you did in your sermons! You should listen to some, see how wrong you are about this. haha Hope you have a good day.

  • @mad6andchili Ha ha...he stole it from this video! LOL

  • @overboardbriggs Cept he has been preaching this sense at least '04 man. You need to read the lit and listen to the sermons before you go and bash someone. If there is a gripe than gripe, but you don't know what he says! You should let Driscoll speak the Word to the people God has given him and go out into the city where he doesn't reach.

  • @mad6andchili WHy doesn't HE openair preach in Seattle? Why aren't YOU? Mk 16:15 is for all disciples, not just retired UPS drivers

  • Why dont you preach to unsaved people instead of to people who know Jesus? Wait thats because you are wolf. Ooops.

  • @Samandkit UNsaved, d'ya mean like Mars Hillites? Noone is SAVED until they endure to the End. Salvation is only a hope which many fail and fall short of God's grace to fulfill. Many are called, but few are chosen. Narrow is the way, and constricted is the gate, and few there be that CAN ENTER therein. Mars Hill IS the "broadway leading into Destruction" lead by a blindman, Driscol. Run Forrest, RUN! Rev 18:4 and 2 Cor 6:14-18

  • @overboardbriggs

By unsaved I mean unregenerate. The funny thing is is you are not saved and have many sins in your life that you are unrepentant about even if you deny here you can't deny to God.

  • @Samandkit Are you Psychic? Name my unrepented sins...wise guy. No one is saved until they get to heaven after passing all the tests and trials to prove one's faith and deeds as required by the Author and FInisher of salvation. Many are called, only FEW are chosen, and saved ultimately.

  • @overboardbriggs Well that's a very Christian manner to respond. Tell me this: What are we going to be judged by? Just if we believed in Christ? You tell me.

  • @JCojocaru I am NOT a "christian". Jesus said to "Follow Me", not "become a christian". Christians cause the pagans to blaspheme God as the Jews did by their hypocracy , double standards, and hypocrasy. Did I say "hypocracy"? Eccl 12:13 "Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. 14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil."

  • @overboardbriggs Sorry for the misunderstanding. If you want to be it that way I am not a Christian either. I still tend to use the term Christian rather than "follower of Christ" even though I prefer "Follower of Christ". It's just something I got used to but DO want to change. And I agree with your response. Glad to meet one of the few who KNOWS works are important :) Sure we're not saved by them, but they accompany a TRUE faith. I personally am not with the Church. Know very few true Believrs

  • @JCojocaru Jesus said "I am the way I am the truth I am the light" "no one gets to the father except through me". Mark is very dangerous because he poisons the water with half truths. He says that once saved you are always saved. This is a pure example of New Age theology.

  • @JamesRideout123 I agree. I have plenty of verses to point out the obvious. The most OBVIOUS verses. But people accuse me of "taking it out of context" or "it's meant for another group of people". Really? So God made it so a particular is saved forever, and the others can lose theirs? Right. Adam and Eve were perfect. Yet they fell HARD through deception and were the fall of humanity. How do you go from perfect to dirty? According to all those people, "A good tree only bears good fruits." Just

  • @JamesRideout123 like Adam and Eve right? It's all sad. Everyone follow pastors as if those pastors are perfect and 100% saved. WRONG. We are in the last days. True pastors are RARE. 2 Timothy 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

Why are their churches SO FULL? Because Biblical guidelines are completely ignored.

  • @JCojocaru I agree I agree and I agree some more!

  • @Samandkit So if you're saved, why go to church because the only thing that's gonna happen is "preaching to saved people". True churches no longer exist.

  • @JCojocaru

True churches no longer exist? Did they die with the dinosaurs?

  • @Samandkit Nope, they died when theology was accepted. The church of Christ, which is the body of people, not buildings, will always exist. But churches today are ran incorrectly and unbiblically, out of the will of God therefore not FOR God.

You're probably atheist though so I don't know why I'm even responding.

  • @JCojocaru

I thought theology was just trying to understand God and then who are the real Christians and what church do you go to?

  • @Samandkit Well by theology I mean schools that teach the Bible. I disagree with them because Paul of the Bible himself says his teachings do not come from the wisdom of man but directly from the Holy Spirit (God Himself). When a man takes theology, he has to pay money for it. The teachers who teach it don't teach it out of the love of God, but FOR MONEY, so they don't even know the truth to begin with. They teach a form of Christianity that does not involve repentance but blessings and good.

  • @Samandkit Who I see to be true Christians are those who live on the Narrow path. Those who devote their lives daily to Christ, and do not go after pastors and chase prophets/teachers. They live strictly according to scripture. The scripture is sufficient. The church I go to I have been going my entire life, but it is still false and corrupt as can be. I go there for the people who are sincere and need to know the truth. I expect to hear very little truth but my responsibility is to expose.

  • @JCojocaru

So who are biblical elders, what's their role? and who are they in the church? and do you have a elder over you? if not are you the elder?

  • @Samandkit According to scripture, it is the ELDERS who should run churches. Because they have a lot more experience. But they must also be worthy to praise God. They must be righteous. Nobody is perfect or above anyone, but the Bible is clear that they should be respected and truth is better found from them than the young beginners. Sad thing today, however, is that churches put elders LAST. They're rarely allowed to preach, to do ANYTHING. Because they know the truth better than leaders of

  • @Samandkit today. And the only person I have over me is Jesus Christ, but I respect elders a lot and I would rather go to them to learn anything than ANY PASTOR or Church leader that exists today. A lot of what they do/speak is watered down. If you think about it, how's it biblical that the pastor chooses who gets to preach? Then it is very possible he exercises favoritism and ignores those who speak truth.

1 Peter 5 is a very good read on this topic.

  • @JCojocaru

doesn't God appoint pastors? Eph 4:11 And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers,

  • @Samandkit Oops let me clarify: I meant the younger pastors of today which MAJORITY of churches are ran by. But if you think about it, how do majority of pastors become pastors? Either through vote (which is completely unGodly considering God should be the one to appoint pastors) or through setting up their own church and appointing themselves as pastors. God is not going to do something contrary to his word. Therefore young people should not be pastors. That's what 1 Peter 5 speaks on

  • @JCojocaru

by elder do you mean old person?

and wasn't Timothy a young elder?

1Ti 4:12 Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity.

  • @Samandkit oh and the verse I provided is a direct answer to your questions. My answer may not have been very clear, but 1 Peter 5 should be perfect. RARE that we find a church ran by those standards.

  • @Samandkit Real Christians are people who devote themselves to the Lord and don't try to mix truths with half truths like this man. This man is basically giving young men a license to immorality and presents his Church more as a Bar then a Church. But thats not all he says the following "Once saved you are always Saved". This is incredible arrogance and is one of the ideas taught in New Age doctrine.

  • You need a hug.

  • Wow, obviously, this guy IS blaspheming the Holy Spirit and His work. It is absolutely sad that he will simply end up in hell without any possible means to save him.

  • This guy is so stupid, trying to hinder people from going to church...?!? He needs to really be careful, otherwise he might find himself hindering the possibly workings of Holy Spirit though God's church.

  • going to church is a sin? you take scripture out of context. context determines meaning. the church is called the bride of christ. if you truly want people to meet jesus, and develop a relationship with him, then don't preach your crackpot theology.

  • @flaisbeast What verse says "Lo...the church is called 'the bride of Christ', Amen'? [btw-"church" is not in the Greek N T, It is newspeak invented in Europe about 10m centuries ago] What verse says "go to church"? What verse says Come to a building (church) to meet Jesus"? WHat verse says "thou shalt develop a relationship with him"? NOW, who's got crack in their theology?

  • @overboardbriggs okay, well church is a place where a body of believers form to worship and form a deeper understanding of God's word. it is simply a place where christians meet to serve God. Im sure you and your heretic friends have a place you guys meet up and talk theology and what not?

  • @flaisbeast What verse says "Thou shalt form together to worship Me and form? a deeper? understanding of My word"? WHat verse says "Thou shalt have a place where you meet to serve Me"? WHat does the word "heretic" mean? (you are wrong, BECAUSE you go to church and are NOT beginning to "understand" nor "serve" God. If going to church was so great you would Know what the beginning od knowledge is, it ain't anything close to church going, church crack pot

  • This is a terrible abuse of scripture. Yes, there are many, apostate churches but they all aren't.

I'm thinking you folks have completely missed Hebrew 10:25. You have also completely missed the New Testament covenant. Mark Driscoll has NEVER taught that going to church saves anyone and to say otherwise is a damnable lie. So my friend, you ARE SINNING by misrepresenting Driscoll. To use your words "you are going to hell" because you aren't following the commandments. Study up on GRACE.

  • Man... If this guys theology is right. Then it sucks for the thief on the cross, he never evangelized on the streets and therefore is "going to hell" even though Jesus said otherwise.

  • @philgowmedia Look deeper, friend. He DID evangelize his neighbor thief....THAT is faith + works =Paradise

  • @overboardbriggs No no, you have got it all backward. Faith = Salvation + Works. If you have authentic faith you will produce fruit. Not so that God will love you but because he already has.

    Ephesians 2:8-9

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.

  • Nice taking scripture out of context. Look at fruits.. God helps many people through Mark while you go all biest. Nice job pushing people away lads..

  • @cobra069 Mars Hill "fruit" is BAD fruit because the tree is bad. God, the Truth, pushes sinners away...all the way into the lake of fire, lad. Jn3:17-19; 3:36; Romans 1:18; Psa 5:4-5; 7:11-12; Hosea 9:15-17; Rev 18:2-8; Rev 3:16

  • Meh — Salt Ministries is nothing more than Arminian theology. It's been around forever, and is simply an alternate theology to Calvinism. Nothing more, nothing less. Yawn.

  • @musictom8888 Thank you for confirming the Truth is older than the newer demon doctrines of recent times.

  • @overboardbriggs When I said Arminian theology had "been around forever", I was speaking somewhat poetically. I certainly didn't mean to imply that Arminian theology has biblical roots. Both Calvinism and Arminianism were a birth child of the Reformation.

  • @musictom8888 Isn't Jesus, the I AM who was before Abraham...OLDER than Calvin?

  • @musictom8888 Thank you for confirming the Truth is older than the newer demon doctrines of recent times.

  • @overboardbriggs Well, considering that Jacobus Arminius (founder of Arminian Theology, as I'm sure you know) lived in the late 16th, early 17th century, and the Remonstrants didn't start until well into the 17th Century, Arminiam theology is not really any older than Calvinism. In fact, Calvin started his writings around 1534, so if anything, Calvinism is an older doctrine than Arminian theology.

  • Amen

  • Proverbs 18:19 "A brother offended [is harder to be won] than a strong city: and [their] contentions [are] like the bars of a castle."

We are to exercise proper discernment when trying to bring our lost brothers and sisters out of bondage. It is more difficult to patiently, and meekly deal with the religious and/or lost, and more effective when trying to relay a true message of hope, peace, and salvation to them.

Obedience to God's Word can only be accomplished through faith in Christ.

  • @andrewjbulman 17 He that is first in his own cause seemeth just; but his neighbour cometh and searcheth him.

  • @overboardbriggs - Amen

  • "Going to church doesn't get you to heaven" - Driscoll teaches that. In fact, regarding all the scripture you quoted? None of it has ever been contradicted by Driscoll. You can use all the emotive, religious imagery and music you want... tell us, what EXACTLY is your beef with Mars Hill Church?

The guy who questioned you hit the nail right on the head: "In what way?"

You haven't named specific ways in which Driscoll has contradicted the Bible... not that any teacher other than Jesus is perfect.

  • @askanerdgirl Then Mark is a hypocrit by your saying he agrees with me! "Going to church doesn't get you to heaven". Since that is true, he should follow through and close the doors and sell the real estate, and send the pewwarmers packing out into the streets to evangelize Seattle, etc and disciple the new converts in homes as per Acts

  • @overboardbriggs Mark Driscoll IS evangelising BY opening HIS doors to sinners who want to know Jesus. If he closed his doors those people would be on their own with no leader to teach them the gospel- which is worse??

  • @MrCharrrles A false teacher is worse than CLOSING church doors forcing sinners to go directly tto GOd for righteousness and instruction in godliness.

  • @askanerdgirl ROck n roll bands on stage isn't worship to GOd..it is entertainment for the carnal world loving sinners in the pews. OSAS is the devil's doctrine. Grace isn't to excuse sinning, but to live holy and stop sinning. Mark sins by robbing the sheep (tithes and offerings). These are a few false unbiblical things your idol in the pulpit does and practices. Get out of there! Follow Jesus, not mark

  • Rocky777 @overboardbriggs- sweet. I know the bible says don't be ashamed of the Gospel and that the Gospel will be offensive, but I think if your approach was less in your face itll be more effective. maybe try to hand out pamphlets that show unbiblical quotes of the teacher you dont agree with. build a relationship with the person first then share with them. Ive evangelized in the streets of Hollywood before and thats more effective than a bullhorn in their face.

  • @overboardbriggs What verse commands us to befriend sinners before telling them the truth and before warning them to flee from Gods wrath on them right NOW?

"Friendship evangelism" is another lie from hell the corrupt coward churches push. RUBBISH! Away with it! I can give you 2 dozen commands to preach at them instead

  • And I like how when the guy asked the person with the microphone in which ways does Mark teach unsound doctrine, he couldnt give an example and just said, "in a lot of ways." What has Mark Driscoll said that is undoctrinal??

  • @Rocky777 Once saved always saved/tithing/ceasing from sin is impossible/Driscol is a nicolaitan-laodecian/ false teacher/ liar/Calvinist

  • @overboardbriggs LOL once saved always saved is taught in the Bible. 1 John 2:19. John 10. Read it. God will finish a good work he has started. phil 1:6

  • @Rocky777 SOrry Rocky. You have been lied to by Calvinists like John MacArthur, John Piper, MArk Driscol, Charles Stanley, the Biblebelt hypocrits, etc. Jesus never taught once saved aleways saved. No wheer in the greek and hebrew scriptures is salvation guaranteed cardblanc to all

  • @overboardbriggs I didn't come to that view from men, but from the Bible. What kind of God will let His sheep be snatched out of His hand? Is that the kind of God you serve? I simply follow the Bible.

  • @Rocky777 OSAS is a doctrine of demons to tickle your itchy ears. YOu don't follow the Bible, if you did, you wouldn't believe OSAS. GOd himself casts you out if you are unfruitful. Read Jn 15 and James 2:14, 19-24

  • @overboardbriggs lol. what makes you think im unfruitful? You dont even know me. if you were truly born again, how can you be unborn? think about it man. Romans 11:29 For the gift and calling of God is irrevocable. Ephesians 4:30: you were SEALED for the day of redemption.

  • @Rocky777 PLease watch and read along in your Bible my videos entitled "IF" (2 parts)

  • LOL. the people you are tryna protest to believe in the same exact thing you believe. thats why when youre saying something, theyre finishing your sentence. We know that alter calls dont get you saved. We know that going to church doesnt get you saved. Church is just a place to fellowship and learn the word from teachers. Mark Driscoll teaches repentance. lol. If youre believe in sinless perfection, thats impossible. we sin everyday, but a true believer is convicted of it and turns from it.

  • @Rocky777 CHurch goers are not saved, they are religious. They don't believe the Bible. They are on the BROADWAY to destruction led by the blind leading the blind. One person finished the sentence-big deal. They tolerate sin(like homos, fornicators, hypocrits), there is no conviction of sin, no repentance, no godly sorrow, no conversion, no holy Ghost power to save, to heal, to deliver...no signs following them, no holiness, no evangelism in the city streets, carnal rock n roll worshiptainment

  • @overboardbriggs Agreed! I dont believe going to church gets you saved. In fact i hate religion. I go to church to be surrounded by other believers, fellowship & meet brothers to keep me accountable. Iron sharpens iron. LOL they dont tolerate sin. Mark says homosexuality is a sin. I think you should be telling this stuff to joel osteen followers lol. Mark is a solid teacher. you still havent showed me examples how his teaching is undoctrinal.

  • @Rocky777 We HAVE preached in front of Osteen's den of liars! Last March 2009

  • @daleroberts07 Thanaks for taking time to post. I beg to disagree with your points based on the BIble, not traditions of religion. Most in Mars Hill are going to hell because they have no fruit of repentance, nor active working faith obeyting the gospel Jesus brought to men. Mark D is a calvinist and promotes Once Saved Always Saved, is anti pentecost and tongues, is a lover of worldliness, and many other false ways. Eph 5:11 is why we went, so some might repent,& follow Jesus rather than a man

  • U have no idea what you are talking about. Sad.... Thats all I have to say about that.

  • @time4u2cit ...and the "church" 2,000 ago said the same thing about Jesus. In fact they (jews) said Jesus was a demon possessed bastard, not worthy of living!

  • Right, right, and you dont sin ever, and you're perfect like Jesus, and eventhough I have complete faith in Jesus and the word, I'm going to hell because I dont yell and scream and condemn people. Sure sure.

  • @MrSB1274 If you don't have works, your faith is incomplete and abides alone and is not saving yor sinful life.

  • @overboardbriggs : OH I know that. Your problem is that you think those who dont "evangelize" as you do i.e. scream and condemn non believers and Christians are going to hell. You're right about non believers.

  • Among other names, the bible calls satan "the accuser." You who accuse Mars Hill and the very Good Bible teacher Mark Driscoll are wolf in sheeps clothing. You blatantly pass over the passages that talk about salvation as a gift (Jesus is the author and perfecter of my faith), and you pick and choose to make God seem like an abusive father. We cannot lose our salvation. Salvation is of the lord. - Jonah 2:9.

  • @MrSB1274 Mark is a wolf teaching tickling ear demon doctrines such as Once Saved Always Saved. Read your Bible, ALL of it (Psa119:160; Mt 4:4) to come to the "whole counsel of GOd" on the subject.

IF means conditional. Rev 3:16 and Hosea 9:15-17 say you can be vomited out into hell, and not loved anymore!

  • @overboardbriggs : So you have never sinned after being "saved." Our sinful nature says you have. Your "turn or burn" attitude toward evangelism is sinful and condemning. Only God judges the fate of Men. Not you. The bible commands us to love, not condemn. Romans 3:23 says " for all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.

  • @MrSB1274 so, WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO EVANGELIZE HELLBOUND SINNERS AND HATERS OFTHE TRUTH? iF ONE CAN'T LOSE SALVATION, THEN jESUS IS AN IDIOT, CUZ HE SAYS YOU CAN LOSE IT AND GO TO HELL AFTER BEING BORNAGAIN..

  • @overboardbriggs "So what are you DOING to evangelize...?" Last I checked, we are not saved by what we do, but by faith. If you think we can lose salvation, you place an inaccurate weight on what we can do to merit our salvation. You can also go in the opposite direction and say that since salvation is assured, you can sin and do whatever you want and still be saved. Both views are false. What you do will not save you, but if you are not born again and receive a new heart you are not saved.

  • @MrSB1274 If you aren't doing what Jesus commanded you, you don't love him, and are deceiving yourself. He commanded us to DO things IF we are indeed born of His Spirit. ONe of those things we are COMMANDED to DO is evangelism Mk16:15 to the world so they can repent, etc. Jn14:15, 21-23; 1 Jn2:4; 5-3; btw Jesus was a street preachewr? Why then aren't you if you are following him? Maybe tyou follow another jesus who doesn't care about finding the lost sheep of Israel, jew or heathen eh?

  • @overboardbriggs You are saved by grace. We are all works in progress. Salvation is a gift. This is shown by numerous examples in the bible. As I layed out for you. You can sit there and try to point out that I am sinful. But those kind of people are usually the ones who ignore their own sin. There's a giant plank of Pride in your eye by the way.

  • @MrSB1274 YOu don't know me, and therefore you sinned in judging me unrighteously. Obviously then, it is obvious who has a plank in the eye.

  • @overboardbriggs Yep. Because I'm a sinner. And I always will be. And so will you. Dont forget that, no matter how righteous you think you are. You and I and everyone on the planet need God's grace to be saved. Not works.

  • @MrSB1274 I am a saint, not a sinner. (Titus 2:11-14) You are of the devil, and going to hell with Mark Driscol, except ye repent and stop sinning. "He who sinneth is of the devil" (1 Jn3:8). "Go, and sin no more, lest something WORSE come upon you!"~Jesus~

  • @MrSB1274 And you know I'm not really judging you, when its pretty obvious by your behavior that you think you're better than other Christians because you are somehow more pious or more righteous than others when you scream and condemn other bible believing Christians in the name of evangelism. That's not evangelism, that's judgement.

  • @overboardbriggs: Romans 4:5 says salvation is a free gift. Romans 6:23 says that it is received through faith and 1 Thessalonians 4:7 says that once we are saved we are to live a holy or consecrated life. Jesus never says anywhere that you can lose your salvation.

  • This SALT minister is a follower of Satan. Obedience saves no one. Romans 4:13-14. Titus 3:5-7. Acts 15:11. Romans 4:5. 2 Timothy 1:9. Romans 9:11. John 3:16. Salvation is by faith alone in Christ alone. Romans 4:16.

  • This dude is a quack!
