-sigh- it makes me emotional when I see old vids like this. I remember being like fucking 8 years old and seeing the Bam Bam vs. LT match. Definitely the best big man that didn't get back what he gave to the business. It's sad to know that guys like Bam Bam and Brian Adams died never being world champ and WWE is just handing the belt over to guys like The Miz and Alberto Del Rio without paying any dues. Oh we,, fuck WWE. RIP Beast!
@huskerhotelfoxtrot I disagree. Bam Bam at least could sell for other guys, didn't need to be stiff, and did just as good, if not better interviews. Vader just beat the hell outta guys and was stiff. Fun to watch, but Bigelow did so much more!!!
@Rayla840 They both were great. Vader was actually alot more athletic when he wrestled in Japan. He basically just portrayed the big man style in the states tho.
man great guy, had a shitty ex wife that tried to keep pumping child care out of him, creditors trying to take money from him and writing shit about him for the creditors, most of his friends dying from overdoses or pnuemonia,(rip chris candido, ) just had alot to cope with, deserved more titles in his career, at .east his final moments were with his loving girlfriend, RIP (BAM( (BAM) BIGELOW(
I'd have to say Vader was the best big man wrestler but Bam Bam was like 1a. Man it sucks that some of the best wrestlers of all time are all gone. Well, at least we still have John Cena :::vomits:::
On a more serious note glad to see Bam Bam was such a nice, easy-going guy. Glad to see how humble he was yet terrible we lost such a talented guy at an early age.
Is it any coincidence that so many wrestlers best matches are with Bret Hart?? BEST THERE IS, BEST THERE WAS, BEST THERE EVER WILL BE... RIP to Bam Bam
@rawchester Well, Bret Hart is a class act. Always has been, always will be. That's why guys enjoy working with him as much as they do. Sometimes he bitches and cries a lil too much for niggaz like me, who really can't stand all that fucking bullshit, but he's a class act. A true, genuine person.
14 was supposed to be Owen/Shawn, once again, Shawn refused to do the job. Tyson doesn't get cleared, so we get Austin/HBK, which was great, but HBK tapping out to Owen's Sharpshooter after running Bret out of the company would have been epic.
@bassplays Huh? Where did you read that? I've never heard that rumor ever. Austin was always pegged to win the title at WM 14, going back to late '97. They plan out Wrestlemania months in advance. That's why after Shawn hurt his back he told Vince "I'll get you to 'Mania, but after that I'm done".
I gotta admit I wasn't the biggest Hart fan after he got the big push. But now I know of the real stories I have unlimited respect for him. But I've always hated Shawn. I couldn't watch WW 'F' whilst he got the top spot.
to those of you who commented that bret hart is a crybaby becouse of the screw job incedent think about it would you want to lose in your home town on your last ppv for the company you were about to leave? as far as i am concerned shawn micheals is more of a crybaby than bret my father was a wrestler back then he said that shawn was the worst person to work with he is an asshole and that bret was the best in the buiseness at the time. look at hogan matches all he does is a leg drop he is sorry.
@WeNeedSomeGolfShoes You bash me for not citing my sources. I cite them and then you say they're not "legitimate enough for you." But you won't cite yours because they are "well known" facts. What a hypocrite.
There's a link to Rougeau talking about it. It is not a "brief mention" either. You said I didn't "site" (learn to spell dumbass) any of the interviews I was claiming. Well I did, so I'll gladly accept your apology for wrongfully calling me a hypocrite. You can do it here, or through a private msg. Either way suites me fine.
U'll also see me bashing Bret on that Rougeau vid too, feel free to respond :).
@WeNeedSomeGolfShoes Most I mentioned were from RF shoot interviews. Nash's story about Undertaker dressing him down was a few years ago, right before he did that shoot with Hall. Rougeau's is from his RF interview, same one where he tells the Dynamite Kid story, it should still be here on youtube. Hall's is from his solo RF vid where he talks about Royal Rumble 93. Flair & Bischoff don't really need a source since they've been very vocal about it. Austin touches on it on OTR
actually bret was supposed to fight shawn at wrestlemania 13 but didnt want to lose the title to bret so bret had to fight austin where as bret could have done the same at survivor series 97 cause he had already worked his 300+days and didnt have to agree to the match at all evn when he knew shawn fucked him over at wrestlemania 13
Couldn't have been that bad since Taker respected Bret. Bret did a ton of jobs. He tapped out for Shamrock, he jobbed to vader, crush, yoko, owen, bulldog, sid, michaels, backlund, and in wcw names that come to mind are booker t, piper, luger and i'm sure a laundry list of others. Who cares how it was done, it was done. He was the top star, fans didn't want to see the hero get beat clean. Even going into wrestlemania 13 bret assumed Austin was going over but Vince had a different idea
Sorry Bigelow, it was actually Joey Marella (who's also since passed away) that reffed that match and not Hebner. Still an awesome bout, and Bam Bam was always a real pro.
Unless their names are HHH, HBK, Flair, Hogan, or just some McMahon ass kisser, Bret Hart has to be one of the most respected men in the wrestling business bar none.
@nilo723 Only people without an agenda. Ric Flair doesn't rate him, nor does Triple H, and Shawn Michaels called him a good wrestler in his book, rather than great.
Of course, Vince McMahon, on Bret's DVD, called him the best technician and storyteller ever, and a guy who gives "the best match of the night" every time. Heck, just watch the guy. He could mat wrestle, he could brawl, he could power wrestle, he could fly... the guy was just an incredible wrestler and athlete.
@nilo723 I couldn't care for Flair or HHH's opinions... bitter, insecure politcal bitches who I never considered great talents. I read Michaels' book because he's a great talent. Unfortunately the comments on Bret reinforced the belief that the guy remains a cunt.
He used to be..But now things have changed for him..
All his arrogance went down the drain as did his career..People retire at their peak, but his peak retired about decade ago..And i guess being thrown here and there for the past 5 years, losing Wrestlemania's all the time, made him a humble person..
@nilo723 Michaels was already one of the all time greats when he retired in 1998. Sure, he looked a lot older when he returned to wrestling, was balding, and couldn't work as smoothly as he did before. But he was still putting on good matches, and building guys like Cena, Batista and Orton, therefore he still had some purpose. And at the last two Wrestlemanias, he rivalled his early performances in the ring.
@nilo723 I honestly thought you were talking about Bret till i got to the end about losing at Wrestlemania bc I remembered that Bret Hart doesn't do jobs for people that arent related to him.
@nilo723 Ok, correct me. Who did he put over clean besides Owen and Davey Boy? Even Shawns win at WM12 was tainted bc Shawn needed the clock runnng out to save him. Since you apparently know ur history more than me, you tell me.
Ok yes, technically he put over Andre at WM2 by getting dumped out of the battle royal, and he put over Dibiase at Survivor Seres 91. Oh, and he did a job to the Patriot via interference in 97. Which jobs am I leaving out?
@NiceVideos11 Yes, Shawn talked about that in his book. Shawn didn't just agree to it, he actually came up with the idea. That wasn't the point I was making. I'm saying that the finish put Bret over and made him look strong, but he still bitched about it even though the finish was beneficial to him.
@nilo723 He never passed any torch to anyone. His loss to Yoko was by interference by Fuji, he beat Austin twice, he bitched about jobbing to the Mountie even though he was getting the IC belt back from Piper at WM 8. His loss to Backlund was due to Owen's interference, dropping the strap to Sid was bc of Austins interference. Please tell me Nilo, since I "dont know much about wreslting." What am I leaving out? School me mr wrestling historian.
@StuUngar Bret Hart slogged his way to the top..He dedicated his life for this business and it was only after reaching 35 that he started getting recognized..You are failing to recognize all his work before 92..And yes, when he reached the top he became that underdog character refusing to lie down again..He was a true people's champ and thats why WWE made him win all those matches..even against Austin..
The fact remains the only time he refused to job was in Montreal, and it was in contract..
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
@nilo723 He might not have refused, but he damn sure bitched and moaned about every single one of them after he beat Perfect at SS.
Hall, Nash, Rougeau, Bischoff, Flair, & even Austin are among the many wrestlers who have mentioned that Bret did not like to do jobs. Nash told a story in a shoot about how Undertaker had to dress Hart down in the locker room bc Bret was bitching about his matches with Diesel & Taker when Diesel & Taker were building for WM12.
@RNCoyote And the screwjob wasn't even a big deal. Bret made a ridiculous demand to lose it the next night on RAW, which was just dumb and would kill te feud between Michaels and Hart. Bret knew that Vince was struggling to afford new talent while keeping his top stars happy, and Bret chose to walk out on the same company that made him rich, famous and had to deal with his "no jobbing to undercarders" bullshit just for more money. well his time in wcw sucked so haha fuck you Bret!
@StuUngar As i said kid, you don't know anything about wrestling..All you do is hear stupid stories told by pathetic idiots, rather than relying on the facts available..
Bret Hart did job when asked, even being the top wrestler in the company..
Michaels, flair and all those others have been known to back out from matches and fake injuries..And kid, Austin never said one damn thing about Bret..what he says today is that 'Bret had a huge hand in making him what he was'..and thats a big deal!
@nilo723 Funny how you talk about your supposed facts and then speculate about people not named Bret Hart in the followng sentence. Hypocrisy is one of the things you guys do best.

This is what really makes Bret Hart the best..People who fought him used to testify to his greatness..
nilo723 2 years ago 28
yeah bret hart is the greatest technical wrestler ever
TraumaER 2 years ago 7
@nilo723 Only people without an agenda. Ric Flair doesn't rate him, nor does Triple H, and Shawn Michaels called him a good wrestler in his book, rather than great.
Of course, Vince McMahon, on Bret's DVD, called him the best technician and storyteller ever, and a guy who gives "the best match of the night" every time. Heck, just watch the guy. He could mat wrestle, he could brawl, he could power wrestle, he could fly... the guy was just an incredible wrestler and athlete.

@tobyobrie I am surprised u went thru Shawn's book..These lying bastards have nothing interesting to say..
nilo723 1 year ago
@nilo723 I couldn't care for Flair or HHH's opinions... bitter, insecure politcal bitches who I never considered great talents. I read Michaels' book because he's a great talent. Unfortunately the comments on Bret reinforced the belief that the guy remains a cunt.

@tobyobrie
He used to be..But now things have changed for him..
All his arrogance went down the drain as did his career..People retire at their peak, but his peak retired about decade ago..And i guess being thrown here and there for the past 5 years, losing Wrestlemania's all the time, made him a humble person..
So much for 'Mr.Wrestlemania'!

StuUngar 1 year ago
@StuUngar then i guess you are an idiot and don't know much about wrestling..
nilo723 1 year ago
@nilo723 Ok, correct me. Who did he put over clean besides Owen and Davey Boy? Even Shawns win at WM12 was tainted bc Shawn needed the clock runnng out to save him. Since you apparently know ur history more than me, you tell me.
Ok yes, technically he put over Andre at WM2 by getting dumped out of the battle royal, and he put over Dibiase at Survivor Seres 91. Oh, and he did a job to the Patriot via interference in 97. Which jobs am I leaving out?

@StuUngar
Perhaps you should check YOUR history.... Shawn AGREED to that finish and wanted it that way....
NiceVideos11 1 year ago
@NiceVideos11 Yes, Shawn talked about that in his book. Shawn didn't just agree to it, he actually came up with the idea. That wasn't the point I was making. I'm saying that the finish put Bret over and made him look strong, but he still bitched about it even though the finish was beneficial to him.
StuUngar 1 year ago
@nilo723 He never passed any torch to anyone. His loss to Yoko was by interference by Fuji, he beat Austin twice, he bitched about jobbing to the Mountie even though he was getting the IC belt back from Piper at WM 8. His loss to Backlund was due to Owen's interference, dropping the strap to Sid was bc of Austins interference. Please tell me Nilo, since I "dont know much about wreslting." What am I leaving out? School me mr wrestling historian.
StuUngar 1 year ago
@StuUngar Bret Hart slogged his way to the top..He dedicated his life for this business and it was only after reaching 35 that he started getting recognized..You are failing to recognize all his work before 92..And yes, when he reached the top he became that underdog character refusing to lie down again..He was a true people's champ and thats why WWE made him win all those matches..even against Austin..
The fact remains the only time he refused to job was in Montreal, and it was in contract..
nilo723 1 year ago 3
This comment has received too many negative votes show
@nilo723 He might not have refused, but he damn sure bitched and moaned about every single one of them after he beat Perfect at SS.

@StuUngar
Let me add it was Jim Neidhart that took the pinfall during their tag team title losses.
RNCoyote 1 year ago
@RNCoyote And the screwjob wasn't even a big deal. Bret made a ridiculous demand to lose it the next night on RAW, which was just dumb and would kill te feud between Michaels and Hart. Bret knew that Vince was struggling to afford new talent while keeping his top stars happy, and Bret chose to walk out on the same company that made him rich, famous and had to deal with his "no jobbing to undercarders" bullshit just for more money. well his time in wcw sucked so haha fuck you Bret!
owl316 1 year ago
@StuUngar As i said kid, you don't know anything about wrestling..All you do is hear stupid stories told by pathetic idiots, rather than relying on the facts available..
Bret Hart did job when asked, even being the top wrestler in the company..
Michaels, flair and all those others have been known to back out from matches and fake injuries..And kid, Austin never said one damn thing about Bret..what he says today is that 'Bret had a huge hand in making him what he was'..and thats a big deal!
nilo723 1 year ago
@nilo723 Funny how you talk about your supposed facts and then speculate about people not named Bret Hart in the followng sentence. Hypocrisy is one of the things you guys do best.
