all right, I have to say you kind of lost the meaning of one of the lyrics in the Victorian era a life preserver (in addition to its modern meaning) was a small club, similar to a blackjack, commonly sold for self defence. Loved the Pinifore gag however.

Wow! So many other people doing PoP at their schools! Mine is doing it too, and I'm one of only three girl pirates... and we're all really short! The boys tower over us, lol... but it's so much fun to be a pirate! :D

Oh don't worry, I was in Pirates of Penzance in February. All of our policemen were girls, and they all loved it, or most of them...I did hear some complaining about the boob tape...

I graduated from UI in Percussion and performed sooo many operas whilst htere -- I love that you added this! Is Bill Hatcher still teaching there? He was my favourite to work with...I must have been the only percussionist that begged to work with women's chorale and anyhting vocal-oriented! Lovely work!
