Focus on your sound before you slop your fingers around like that. The Martin is a horn with a lot of metal, that means the horn is too big for you to handle, by the weak sound you're getting from it.
try doing some scales in yout next vid that lets us hear the full range of each horn and maybe some long tones. it is really hard to tell the difference though because of the way you were playing and the different rooms played with each horn.
I'd definitely go with the Martin in this A/B--much fuller sounding. However, I agree that you should have played them both in the larger room. The Conn just sounds too vintage to me if that makes any sense. However I used to have a "Tranny" (ca. 1933) art deco Conn alto, and I know that a Beechler would not have allowed me to easily play it in tune. Here I'd go with a vintage piece on the very vintage horn. With that said, a good King will blow them both away....
Well, I own a Conn 6M alto and I also have a 54 The Martin alto. I love them both, but my Conn has the edge. However, I wouldn't get rid of either of them.
same as Stillvaril1 said: Different rooms, acoustics and even a different way of improvising for both saxes. Try to do this again, but in de same room and make less and longer notes for both improvs. Maby we can compare better.
Anyway, I know The Martin is better couse I have one :D
Linkin' the Conn better. God bless!

If it is not a double-blinded, randomized triad, the real difference of two saxophones is difficult to tell.

I agree with them. It's too hard to compare with the different acoustics and styles. I however would choose the New Wonder because I have one. ;-}

Ok, but can't really compare.
Different rooms, totally different acoustics. Sorry.
I'd like either instrument.
