UPDATE!

The green snake you see in the poster is the ''Great Devourer''.

A legendary ancient serpent beast that was so powerful, it cannot be killed, but also can devour, and consume all of Ninjago. It has slept for hundreds of years since the Serpentine once ruled Ninjago. It would have consumed Ninjago had it not been for the legendary flutes of the people of Ninjago. The good people of Ninjago used their secret flute to control the Serpentine, they cast them in their tombs, locked them up

Those are the serpentine from Lego ninjago rise of the snakes the series when the ninja find lord garmadons son named Lloyd and he opens a hatch to the snakes tomb

There are several clans of serpentine but were separated so they would never join each other there goal is to unite and get revenge but the ninjas learn new tricks and stop them Also Lego has declared the green ninja will be Lloyd look at it on brickipedia. hum...the store I work in over here in Germany has the stuff still in the celler....have not seen it in the shelfs yet here.....but I am looking forward...we (my son and I play ninjago alot) and he has the full spinner set 2011. three times you can bett he wants the new set too....hope I will pussle it out with all them busters...and I still am trying to figure out why there was now Jay DX spinne with cards in 2011, makes no sence to me....but oh well.

I think the ninjagos are a cool Lego set.

Originally people said the LORD Garmadon was going for the ninja's side, but the information was false, and it was Lloyd.

Now LEGO wants LLOYD Garmadon to fight along side the Ninjas and LORD Garmadon to fight along the Serpentine.

So, I've done my searching and I found one colossal clue.

You may believe this or not, but Lloyd will rise up the ranks and BECOME the GREEN NINJA.

The ninjas, Kai, Zane, Cole and Jay will be fighting sevral enemys in the new sets, Lord Garmadon, even tough he can not be found by the ninjas, Lloyd Garmadon, garmadons son, The Serpitene army is the new and most formidable new foe, Lloyd Garmadon released 1 of the 5 serpintne tribes. All you have to do to pice the rest together is watch the new series coming out in January.

The green ninja is not zane becase i saw a sneak peak video and garmadon beat zane but green ninja saved him and threw garmadon over board then the green ninja had flames in his his hand and his eyes were flaming. zane asked if it was kai, but he did not answer. he constantly asked but no answer. then, he jumbed of the flying ship and went through the clouds and dissapered, so its not zane.

I wish ppl wud stop spamming about the new storyline. look, heres 2012 in a nutshell. lord garmadon has grown 4 arms from the portal last movie and commands the venomari people with his son and r trying to find the jeweled snakestaffs. now kai, cole, jay and zane must advance in spinjitzu to overcome ther new enemies, which includes upgrading to ZX and Kendo Ninja.

And finally yes, there's talk of a green ninja. He's not in the first wave but amongst other things he's on the packaging (Yes, the boxes will be green instead of red). However it's apparantly not a *new* ninja as it seems like one of the four current ones will evolve into the green ninja

* There are cards where you challange the opponent on a due in spinning skills and if you win you get to reclaim a lost weapon.
