what good is linux good for other than surfing the net and install past nes, snes, sega, etcs games...i want to install it but if it cant do more than that i dont know...
Out of the box using the default E17 desktop environment it can be a bit on the slow side due to the limited amount of system ram in the ps3. Switching to XFCE or fluxbox desktop managers add a good bit of pep to the system making it rather responsive. Ethernet works with zero configuration, wireless works after a little configuration. There is no hardware graphic acceleration for linux on the ps3 at this times so any applications that would require it will not run or run well.see my other videos
hey i know this was a foolish mistake that i made but i'm stuck with setting up yellowdog i ddnt have a key board but thought id give it a go anyways.
now i'm stuck in the console part whenever i turn on my ps3. can some1 help me with this!! i want to atleast be able to use my ps3 for games now until i get a usb keyboard

give your ps3 more pc functionality. which is nice when the ps3 is hooked up to a large hdtv and surround sound system.

What is the performance of linux like on a PS3? Does it run smoothly?
Is the graphics quality any good?
Does the ethernet and wireless work ok? Is there any limitation on applications that work?
Thanks
