last time I was able to melt my hot wheels metal car on the gas which proves that the whole car was made from lead with small amount of tin in it. The melting temp of lead is around 250 to 300 degree Celsius!

These toys are sold in Europe and the rest of the world, but so far no recalls here. Strange no?
So, because they sell these toys in "the rest of the world" we should too? I don't really want my country to be like Holland, France, Japan, or any of those other countries. If Europe is so much better, why are people from there & everywhere else for that matter trying to get to the U.S. & not vice-versa?
The point I was making is; Why are all these recalls specific to America? If these toys and other goods were actually dangerous they would have been recalled in other countries too. The whole thing seems to me to be an orchestrated attempt to kill consumer confidence in Chinese goods and encourage people to buy American.

Mattel didnt "paint" the toys...they design them...and if 65% or more of Mattel toys are made in CHINA then the apology to the Americans would be sufficient...not to CHINA unfortuanetly.

BOYCOTT THE OLYMPICS. The Chinese Communist Party is to blame. Morale of Chinese is really low. USA should teach China to pay minimum wage, abolish enforce slave labor, prison labor and introduce Pension, safe labor law, Mandatory retirement with Old Age Security and protect Whistle blowers. This is going to shut down a lot of greedy Chinese Companies. They reward employees for lying. Plus, bad news like lead paint toys are not mentioned in China.

China just recalled all imported US soybeans, which worth billions. This trade war will hurt both China and US, but it'll hurt US more because our economy is very weak right now. My DVD player, sometimes it plays, sometimes it doesn't even read the disc - Made in China
My monitor, controls sometimes don't work properly or don't function at all - Made in China
My MP3 player, often does not read MP3 discs or gets strange errors - Made in China
The disc to burn that MP3 disc, gets errors and does not even read the disc - Made in China
My alram clock that does not have ANY problems - Made in Japan

yes there is.
The quality of Made in China products are not engineered.
They tend to "copy" product designs made by the Japanese or U.S.
but use low quality parts and low quality assembly of the items.
I have seen the difference in everything from car parts to remote control car parts.
so yes there is a significant difference in China vs Japan products.

we have all been drinking from ceramic cups full of led, there is a product to check, know the name ? i was told by a ceramics teacher about 20 years ago the name and lost it... these recalls from China sound like ECONOMIC WAR ...! just enter any pharmacy in your corner and analyse what you smell in the first 10 seconds, and if your body is not too intoxicated ask yourself what smell is this ? the same as the dollar store coming from China !
