  • at approximately 1:05 in your video you say the pro raptor with {{steel frame}} weights 35 oz's empty. probably made of aluminum ,at least mine is!

  • I got here from jake and amir.

  • I bought the 4" Pro Raptor and love it. Have put 500 rounds threw it ( Federal and Remington UMC 230 grain with zero problems. Good for carry & home defense.

  • I loves Kimbers, never a problems with mine , they love to go to work!! Marc

  • @aqlpskwo 3 meters? Now say that to his face! lol just kidding man

  • As this video is about .45 pistols, wouldn't it be more appropriate to call the serration patterns something like "snakeskin," rather than "fish scales?" "Fish scales" sound kind of sissy.

  • @quanfa88 Tell that to a barracuda!

  • @ByRecentDesign Good one. If I still lived in Florida, I would have thought about that. I've been in GA too long; all I think of now are Carp & Bass.

  • eh, I just don't like 3" 1911s. 4" is okay, but full size is the way to go for me.

  • Great vid..own a full size Raptor II. Excellent 1911, 500 rounds both factory and handloads...no problems

  • Way to shoot!

  • Dave Anderson's the man! I always enjoy his articles.

  • Wow, nice control!!!

  • I dream of this gun every night. I say one in the store they feel great! just don't have the money for it.

  • did you see how well his groups were with rapid fire. Try and do better.

  • NICE!!! I own a Pro Raptor II, Stainless...300+rounds through it so far, no problems and I'm still it breaking in...

  • nice

  • And it happens 2 suit him just fine

  • u mean great shooting

  • great vid.

  • Good review

For being a small conceal pistol the Kimbers are a little heavy

  • I have the 3'' Ultra Raptor. On these extremely compacted 1911's it is VERY important to test the carry ammo of choice. Please don't skimp, 100+ rounds of choice carry ammo is a must; due to the fact that the 3'' models are the most finicky 1911's. The recoil spring MUST be kept fresh, and a proper, firm grip is also important to maintain proper slide timing during recoil. My Raptor likes the Corbon Pow'rball 165g. If You can get one that runs well, it's a great little carry piece.

  • He's pretty good with those little Kimbers.

  • @pdalko ANY IDEA OF WHAT MAKE THOES TWO HOLSTER'S THAT HE WAS USING WERE ?

  • @MyREDTAIL I don't know

  • @MyREDTAIL Both holsters are made for Kimber by Galco and carry the Kimber logo. The holster for the 3" pistol is the Avenger model, for the 4" pistol it is the Concealable model. Kimber also recently added to their line a holster for the 3" mode made by Mitch Rosen, an excellent holster at a very reasonable price.

  • wanna have!

  • i love the 1911 but a gun thats almost 100yrs old i think u should be able to shot ant 45 acp/ auto outta it

  • Kimbers are awesome. I'm not much of a fan of the series 80 firing pin block though. . .

  • mind sharing why? I dunno much bout the design

  • I see it as being an extra addition to the 1911 design. It also complicates things a bit more and its another thing that could possibly get clogged up in the field. For carry use though, I think it would be fine.

  • Great video! It's been a while hasn't it!?

  • I want!!!!!!

  • Great video. Thanks for posting.
