It was horrible to be so perfect and then fall while dancing from that height and have to go through so much pain and suffering and surgeries. They should have protected her better.
A-M had that ability to be sexy as anything and still project a good-girl image; she was sexy without being cheap or raunchy. She was the nice girl next door who couldn't help being a sexpot. I love this song; "Give what you got before it's not there to give!" I think that's now my anthem! Let's all be pleasure seekers!
This Ann Margret song number is F-A-N-T-A-S-T-I-C! I never get tired of watching it! The whole routine, the great musicians backing her up, her style and musical interpretation. NOBODY can do it like Ann Margret! All of today's young starlets pale in comparison to the incomparable Ann Margret!
This flick was a musical remake of "Three Coins in the Fountain," changing the setting from Rome to Madrid. It would be cool to see them back-to-back.
I'd say this number ranks with Rita Hayworth's "Put the Blame on Mame" in "Gilda" and Michelle Pfeiffer's sultry rendition of "Makin' Whoopee" in "The Fabulous Baker Boys" among the sexiest female singing performances in movies.
I get told I look lik her during these days so much. I'm only 16! Compliment right? I think so, she's so pretty and no one has anything on her. Forreal. But, that's a good thing for me too I think ;D
@Hankleberg Here are the lyrics to the song Some people just run from the fun things in life The boredom they got you could cut, with a knife They’re the ones who look up at the jets go by but you take me, I just gotta be, with the ones, that, fly Spare me the eight to five people, those half alive people I’ll take the set, that likes to get off the dime Give me the pleasure seekers, every time
@Hankleberg I wouldn't call it a bad song. It's a fairly generic song written by composer Jimmy Van Heusen and lyricist Sammy Cahn, the team who wrote many songs for Frank Sinatra. But Ann-Margret would have been sexy singing "Three Blind Mice"!
The Fox Movie Channel shows this film, The Pleasure Seekers very often, they also show Fathom with Raguel Welch, both films are great pleasure to watch.
Ann-Margret at any age is stunningingly beautiful. In this video you can see why the comparisons are made between Ann-Margret and Lindsay Lohan. Ann-Margret just has more talent. I thought the 70's were hot and Ann-Margret looks way better as a red head
@bergman336 Very true that era around 64 -65 she was at the height of her beauty although I reckon she was trying to break from that mold of being type cast cause alot of the roles that went her way were like the Sex Kitten roles which she did fine but was quickly becoming dated. The only movie I remember that stuck out for me during this period is when Ann-Margret played a housewife to a criminal in a movie called Once a Thief. Wasn't a great movie but to see her play a dramatic role refreshing
I just watched the first forty minutes of this movie. What happened to gorgeous celebrities?! It's like the 1970's rolled around and it was all about giant hair and unflattering clothes. I was born in 1982 and until 2001 I had no idea why people were going bonkers about ANY celebrity because the aesthetic of my formative years was so skewed.
Also I think it's hilarious how literate and polite the comments are for this video. The rest of youtube is... well...
Exactly! I was born in 1989, and I'm so ashamed of my generation for that same reason. I never understood the point of trash talking on the internet....
On a positive note, I ADORE this video. Thanks so much for posting it, milanhel!
1st time saw this movie on tv was just a kid but boy! did my little hormones go ape crazy (lol). this particular song was what made me a life-long admirer, fan, and lover of the magnificent Ann-Margret. thanks for posting this great video!!!!
From what I remember of the movie, Rose McGowan really nailed A-M's voice, body language and screen persona. As for her real-life personality, I can't really judge.

You see what it is like to have all of this sex appeal with cloths on. Something todays entertainters can't do.

TCM just had an Ann-Margaret double feature with The Pleasure Seekers and Viva Las Vegas. Not exactly Shakespeare, but very entertaining.

And don't forget those bedroom eyes. A-M had that look that said "Come hither -- and I mean NOW, buster!"
Brigitte Bardot may have been the original sex kitten, but Ann-Margret defined the term for all time.

The movie was nothing great but
ANN-MARGRET most certainly is ~ she's the only thing really worth watching in it -
she's also a genuinely nice person as
well.

Great song, picture is dated, but entertaining.

Rose McGowan did a pretty good job of playing Ann-Margret in the 2005 made-for-TV Elvis biopic starring Jonathan Rhys-Meyers.

do you think the way Rose acted is close to how Ann is in real life?
