"Is America ready? Are Americans ready to suddenly drop this "my side, your side" agenda and work together to fix some really big problems with their country, even if the solutions don't help or even hurt them personally?"
Answer: So far, not a chance. Oh, they'll elect him, but they won't support him after the first 5 months.
I have to admit I really like Jon and his opinions have validity even when he makes outrageous jokes about them.
I happen to disagree with him largely on some things but I find myself enjoying intelligent and rational differences of opinion refreshing from the "lock step dogma" of both parties they talk about..
In todays society people are too invested in there partys dogma, free thinkers that can see value in both sides of the fence, or listen to an arguement and value it on its merit is rare
The apparent lack of partisanship is due to each of these candidate's identical agenda: globalism and enhanced executive power. The Constitution is "fringe" philosophy these days, unfortunately. Those dollars are falling fast ladies and gentlemen.
Only reason why dollar have still any value is because of oil, if you didn't know oil is generally bought with dollars only. Saddam tryed change to euros and look what happend to him. There's nothing wrong in globalism, after all we do live on same planet
Oh, Jon's too smart, by half. Of course, the right wing bigots, as all fascists, must insist on the candidate promising to do exactly as THEY say, not what's best for the country or by the constitution.

We live in the 21st Century and still the witch-hunts continue, enough is enough, I speak as an American and find it repulsive and heinous that the New York Times would add to the wounds that this American Hero endured. It is a a fact that words can cause heatache and destroy a good man regardless of a basis of truth, and for what agenda ??
