  • their not real vikings. Their hair isnt blonde.

  • @TheFaggies So all vikings must be blond? I am Norwegian, I decend from the vikings. I am decendent of a viking king from the 800s. My hair is black. My mothers hair is also black, and she has brown eyes.

And how about all them gingers here in Norway? Are they not proper Norwegian? We come in all colours my friend, not purely blond.:)

  • @TheFaggies What you just said can't be any farther from the truth. Vikings were red haired, and blonde. Blonde was often a royal colour, it was refered to as having "Fair Hair" however, it was just favoured, not required. Warriors often had Red Hair to symbolize their status also. Ancient Vikings died their hairs, if you also didn't know.

  • @1LoneViking wELL THEIR STILL NOT REAL VIKINGS.

  • @TheFaggies there never been anything like Vikings, viking is something you do To go viking to do sea raid just a modern name for the northern people during the viking age.

  • @TheFaggies Course they're not real Vikings, a Viking is a Scandinavian sea pirate. Either way, you cannot prove a worthy argument, so i will not persist forth with idiotic babble with the idiot him/herself. Sorry friend.

  • What are the Anglo-Saxons chanting at the very beginning? I hear that a lot. The call and repeat thing?

  • @fuzzinear100 Ut! Ut! Ut! - It means Out! Out! Out!

  • God save the Saxons.

  • I'd be surprised if anyone is 100% anything considering near a thousand years has past. I'm from North West England and i partially agree, those of us descendant from the Norse countries are proud of our heritage but we're proud of our other ancestors too. King Arthur is perhaps the most notable character of our history, I am a Briton and damned proud of it.

  • @FenrisGuardian So how are you a 'briton' then? And King Arthur?.........

  • @FenrisGuardian King Arthur stands out because EVERYONE has heard of him. Whether he's real or not, king or not makes little difference. He's a story, a character defined in British history, his story has been written and rewritten hundreds if not thousands of times. Britons were around when the Romans invaded as far as I'm aware. Asking how I'm a Briton is like asking someone how they are a Viking.... they are a descendant they don't run around with Axes pillaging villages on British shores ;)

  • miętkie lochy.... drą ryja pierwszorzędnie, ale walczyć to już słabiutko...:D

  • In England the ancestry you are most proud of is the scandinavian one, I am 100% Swedish Viking!

  • @Burkbiten2

Most proud of is the Scandinavian one? It's just our heritage, Considering the Anglo-Saxons alone came from Denmark and surrounding lower Germanic regions, this is our culture as much as it is yours.

  • @Burkbiten2... är du det ? .... are you now ..

  • @celtic4ever18 There is a difference in look between Scandinavians and other Europeans, Also the Germanic ones.

  • @joonte1010 i mean north germans are very similiar to the danish

  • @joonte1010 there's a german film called wickie the viking most german actors are northern germans and they look true viking people

  • @celtic4ever18 Danes doesnt look like Scandinavians anymore, They are to much mixed with Germans and such. Their faces are far different from Swedish and Norwegians.. Swedes and Norwegians you cant see a difference betweem ^^

  • @joonte1010 ok they all germanic stock

  • @celtic4ever18 and flemish and dutch and franks and some slavs aswell ... lol

  • @wolfman19892 Nej bara Svensk!

  • Very nice! :D. Which reinactment group is this?

  • I have was born just outside london but the majority of my family come from the North of England so yes more than likley.what about your self?

  • How interesting. How weird it must be to live in this age and return to doing things the way it was done so many centuries ago. Im many cases you can see how many has become soft. I wonder what would happen if the original vikings came through a time vortex and these people and they came face to face... it would be very interesting... would they like the progress? Would history seem as attractive? Very cool thoughts.

  • @lisai59 I meant to say how man has become soft.... mind you that's a good thing. Not sure if the world could cope with Vikings terrorising the place nowdays...lol

  • @lisai59 yh but they might like it abit more seeing as how England is probably 1000 times richer than it was then, maybe they'd do away with their longships and be frequenting that time vortex abit too often me thinks lol

  • @Saxonsoldiers I think so too. They would probably find really easy pickings nowdays. They'd only have to contend with alarms, guns, rabid gangs and cars... lol

Maybe they'd go back through the vortex and stay there after seeing what a screwy world this is now compared to what they had. lol

  • @lambruglia oh just so you know I am lisai59. I hate this new google crap of accounts.

  • @lambruglia There is always that too i suppose lol.But then imagine the reverse....Vikings with guns!

  • @Saxonsoldiers Hmm I'm sure they would feel right at home in amongst the modern day gangs. In fact they would probably blend so well no one would notice.. well.. the raping and pillaging might be noticed. But then again it might not... lol.

Glad this video has created some conversation. Are you a viking descendent?
