Nice Lights...I have an 08 myself and was debating on whether I should swap out both rear tail light assemblies and get one of these new custom kits that resemble the newer camry's. Maybe Ill try just putting in the L.E.D.'s first and see what difference they make. Which type of l.e.d's were you using for the brakes and for the signals? Where can one purchase them? Thanks in advance..
Well the inside white LED's put out a much cleaner, whiter color that's easy on the eyes. The tail lights look sharper. And yes, LED's take less power.
MAP1234, were you able to swap out the glove box for LEDs? I'm still having problems and didnt want to squeeze to hard and break the bulb. I saw your post on ToyotaNation about the LED flasher, such a big help. Wish you can post a DIY on how to access it. You can PM me or on TN (same name)
Hello i have the same car as u and was wondering how to replace the led lights where u have to push them to turn on in the front where there is 3 bulbs, so could u please tell me how u did it
You have to very carefully pry the clear plastic pieces out of their hinges. I used a wide, thin flathead screwdriver with a rag rapped around it to protect the plastic from scratching. After you replace the bulbs, you need to place one of the hinge tabs in one of the holes and then push the other side back into place. You may want to use the screwdriver again to help widen the surrounding plastic while you're pushing it back in. Use it kind of like a shoe horn. Hope this helps & good luck!
The middle dome light comes out in a very similar fashion. In fact, it's easier than the map lights. There are simply two tabs along the long side of the rectangle that need to be pryed out. Do one side and the others will come out as the side you are working on hinges downward. I know it feels like it's going to break, it's just a matter of knowing the plastic tolerance. You could use two flatheads on both tabs at the same time. This may work better. Let me know if you need anything...
Actually, I finally got the back dome light out myself by prying it very carefully and evenly with a knife and a screwdriver. The whole plastic unit comes out.
you have an 07 i can tell by the tail lights check some videos out of an actual 08 the 08's had different tail lights than all the other ones i have 1 so yea
then y arent ur taillights on ur trunk completley white it has to be all white there and the top part above the braqke light there is only 1 square for the brake light the rest is white trust me i have 1
