My husband was just walking up to the barrier when this happened and thought the train actually got him. He couldn't believe it when the train passed and the guy was in one piece. He's one lucky fella all right!

When hit by a train at this speed the body explodes and is mutilated. Body parts fly everywhere and the body is cut in half by twisting mechanisms. Being hit by train feels like falling over flat on your face, there is no real pain because the brain cannot register the sudden inpact. He was lucky.
It is dreadful for train/tube drivers when this sort of thing happens, often they can no longer continue they job as often they are last to see the victim and as trains take longer to stop than a private car there is nothing they can do to stop the fatality..
Did anyone else think it would be the first guy to nearly get hit?
