Hello Catherine, This Shinkansen is already old and, probably will be disassembled in the near future. But all seats are business class. This is so wasteful! Top speed is 230km/h and is slower than the newest N700(300km/h). Oh, Really?! Isn't the train taken once? But, there was the woman who had never taken a train in Japan like you. I watched the TV program by which the woman takes a train for the first time. She seemed so happy.
いつも新下関駅近くの、在来線の線路の横に止まってますね。
動いてる所見たことないし、新幹線の線路とは別の所にあるので不思議です・・・。

コメントありがとうございます。人知れずひっそりと引退していくのでしょうか？。１００系は０系のときのようにはいかないのかもしれません。内装やシートはきれいでまだまだ走れるのに残念です。あ、まだ廃車と決まったわけではないですね。(^-^)

ネットで調べてみると、、
新下近くのは元こだま633号で、現在は乗務員訓練センターの訓練用車両だそうです。
以前は0系が停まってたそうな・・・
みたかった。
まだまだ100系には頑張ってほしいですね！！

博多総合車両所へ回送された0系元Q3編成の後任としてP2編成が新下関乗務員訓練センターの訓練車両になったようですね（2009年2月9日廃車）。100系全車引退の時には6連でもいいから青と白の塗装に戻り、ひかり号として疾走してほしいものです。。
